@@BiggestKev1960 Hey Kev , don't throw any of it away , i panned some out very carefully , then i panned out the catcher pan for any loses , and i emptied the wheelbarrow slimes into a bucket , and i left it to settle overnight , i just went outside and panned one handful of the slimes and it still had sulphides in it . This is going to be very difficult . I might roast some panned sulphides but i think it might be worthwhile just roasting the ore directly after crushing it , man it's hard to decide the best process . Anyway hang on to it all in the mean time , OK . Cheers Bud .

The sulphides are very light as well , so i am doing OK with the pan , but yeah i could use my little ribbed mat miller table would probably work well too . Hardrock gold is very superfine so i am not expecting to get much gold from 30 lbs , but hopefully the journey will be interesting for me . Yes , i hurt my back again after several years of going along relatively pain free , but i did it at work putting up eaves sheets bending backwards can often do it to me . It's no fun getting old mate , as you well know , lol , 🤣 Take care Buddy 👍👍
Looks like your mill does a better job than mine! I have to re-tool a bit, getting more sand size than flour, and Gawd most that gold is tiny! I've only processed 15 or so lbs of it fully. Got a nice little starter bottle of gold. Also got some pretty decent specimens in the bigger chunks. Gotta have 30 or more of those sitting out currently. Cleaned some up with sulfuric acid, really brightened them up, the gold and tellurides show way stronger. For an amateur, this is pretty challenging stuff to pan, I'm sorta like a chimp shaking bugs outta a coconut or something with my technique! Got distracted from the ore, found an old Jeep to fix up to go hunt rocks with. Too many hobbies, so little time (and cash!)

I am finding out It is very tricky getting all the sulphides , even the slimes still have considerable sulphides in it , so i might end up roasting it all . Thanks for the vid. I've been watching this series on Jason's new mine and I'm very tempted to get 15lbs of pre crushed ore shipped to the UK but the gold is so fine I'm worried that it's a bit beyond me to pan it and not losee too much and get it reasonably clean. The shipping is killer so the return is probably dismal but I'm not in it to make a buck just wanted something other than the usual beginners paydirt to pan at home with the kids.

Fun stuff, Nev Nice pup, too. I saw Jason at mbmm run and pan some of his mine material. He said the floating oily looking material were sulfides. I have a bit of ore that also has this oily looking stuff that floats and looks like oil. I didn't realize that it was a sulfide? Did you see any oily looking sulfide material floating? But i panned it carefully , then i panned the catcher pan after doing multiple pans , it still had sulphides in it , then i captured what was in the barrow ( slimes ) , put it in a bucket , left it settle overnite and then panned one handful out and it still had sulphides in it . It is going to be very tricky . i think i am going to roast some directly crushed material without panning it . G'day Keith , yeah , i have had a bad back for around 30 years or so , it is a pinched sciatic nerve it comes and goes , i get it in both sides considering which side i injure at any given time . An occupational hazard i guess , how long it lasts depends , can be years , or sometimes only a week . But i am a self employed Builder so the only way i have ever dealt with it is just to work through the pain , i have no other choice Keith . There is no fun in getting old , lol ,,🤣 as you probably full well know sir . You and Eva take care of yourselves and may God bless you both .👍👍🙏

Hello there Naughty . I am not sure exactly what you mean here , if you are referring to the white substance in the pan , it is the quartz rock crushed up that you see in the pan with the sulphides in it , once it is washed it appears very clean . Well , the ore wasn't that expensive , but the freight was outrageous , depending what country you are in and your exchange rate , it all varies . but i have much more to process , the amount of gold recovered is irrelevant to me , i just use it for learning purposes . His ore is not paydirt , if you want paydirt you can buy it online for way less and get grams of gold for the value of his ore . Yeah in Canada the freight would be extreme and then add the foreign exchange of 30-40 cents on the dollar. That is why i can't afford his ore.

What is the name of the white powder used to mix into the stone?
Hello there Naughty . I am not sure exactly what you mean here , if you are referring to the white substance in the pan , it is the quartz rock crushed up that you see in the pan with the sulphides in it , once it is washed it appears very clean . Or are you reffering to a flux mix that i will smelt the sulphides with . you might have to get back to me on that issue sir . Anyway , thanks for watching and commenting . 👍👍 Cheers Ned .

Well , the ore wasn't that expensive , but the freight was outrageous , depending what country you are in and your exchange rate , it all varies . but i have much more to process , the amount of gold recovered is irrelevant to me , i just use it for learning purposes . His ore is not paydirt , if you want paydirt you can buy it online for way less and get grams of gold for the value of his ore . He will process Tonnage and recover gold to make bars , our samples are merely that , Samples !!!! and that was my motivation for buying it . G'day Michael , Well , all up the price was outrageous , i could have bought gold bullion for the price of shipping . I also have watched a few dealing with Jason's ore and yes i might get a tiny bead of gold from such a small sample , but i am aware of that . The point was to have some fun processing this stuff otherwise i can go out and find more in the creek or buy paydirt .
