I appreciate that you included some "daily tasks," such as loading your pack and your hanging laundry. I hope all turned out well with your injury. "It will be okay!" I love this mantra!

I had a much longer video of me arranging my pack, but thought it would be a bit too boring to include the whole thing :) When I'm back home I always think- "I need to include more of the pilgrim chore stuff!" but when I'm walking I tend to forget... so I'm glad I remembered this time!

@@NadineWalks well, your channel *is*called "Nadine Walks," not "Nadine Does Her Chores," haha. I do enjoy your "home" videos where you give Camino tips and things.

I was thinking about your comment in the video about the compulsion to walk... and I remember something that youtuber FreeWalker (who is a thru-hiker) once said that we really only attain our "walking legs" after about 30 days. BTW... the misty morning footage is gorgeous. Cheers and adventure on!

This was something I wondered about, having never walked past 30 days before... how I would feel to keep going (and I have to say, that aside from the foot pain on this day, I felt REALLY strong post day-30)

Rest days are important. Everyone needs one to give the body a little time to recover from the stress and strain of the walk. Buen Camino!!

This is maybe my Camino flaw... it is very, very hard for me to take a rest day! (even when I need one!)

    Nadine-
That's a very tightly packed backpack! Hoping for the best for your foot and that it just needs some rest. Looks like a good group at the albergue.

Haha, yes, I carry a pretty small pack and depending on how much food/extras I've picked up along the way, it DOES get pretty tightly packed! I really need to upgrade to a slightly larger size, but I'm awfully attached to this pack.

There´s a multi-kilometers-long slog on asphalt leading to Olveiroa, exactly where you´re going to pick up blisters and foot injuries. Happened to me too.

      All that asphalt is tough!!

@@NadineWalks Nadine. if you can't tear yourself away from NW Spain, and you don't enjoy trekking on asphalt, think about exploring the Picos de Europa, a stone's throw from the Camino. Highly accessible with regards to routing and accommodation, and with an adrenalin factor not to be found on the Camino. You can lose yourself up there for as long as you want, and might even have a close encounter with a bear or a wolf, whichever you prefer!

Welcome back to the land of normal people. With my health episode 2.5 yrs ago, I'm on a reasonable amount of meds plus blood is soo close to the surface, plus being caught in the rain over a prolonged period in Portugal, my first 3 days being 30+k days, I was carrying injuries for whole of my Camino : left foot strain plus right foot had 3 blisters. I just turn off the sensation of my screaming feet, change socks & take more breaks. Physically I battle on through & surprise myself, emotionally I'm a bit of a wreck 🤣

Hahaha, "the land of normal people". Well, it was good to feel almost invincible for awhile there... but ultimately, good to be brought back down to earth :) (and I love what you said about the ability to battle through the physical challenge- it's amazing what bodies can do. Sometimes it's wise to stop and rest, but sometimes it's okay to push through, even with some pain)

It's not that I don't like Aquarius. I just feel bad and sad that this is done with baby dolphin tears. Olveiroa is cool. Another great video!

I didn't realize just how much footage I took of Aquarius until I started putting these videos together, ha!! (I thought that you would appreciate this one) :)
