Wakanda Forever was the first movie that I've seen in a long time that made me genuinely emotionally invested. I cried, and I laughed. I felt all the feelings. Overall, just amazing work by everyone involved in the making of this film. It felt very cathartic after Chadwick's passing. A beautiful tribute to his legacy.
I do NOT easily get misty eyed at movies. Wakanda Forever's emotional arcs were powerful, especially the opening tributes to Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa. The Shuri's emotional journey throughout the movie carried a gravitas that deeply resonated with the entire audience in the theater I was in. There was absolute silence at many key points and the final scene by the fire was so deeply cathartic...reverent, solemn and profound.
Can we talk about how absolutely flawless this gorgeous woman look in this simple yet killer ensemble she is giving us. I want her entire skincare and workout routine. My son and I loved the movie and she was excellent in it. From the glorious costumes to the magnificent acting and the beautiful storyline and tribute. Hands down the best movie I’ve seen in many years.
I watched the 1st Black Panther with my late son. We enjoyed it and he passed on in December 2019. So I don't think I can watch it alone. It will brake my heart. I know it's a great movie. Wish Danai Lupita and all the cast the best. May Chadwick Soul rest in Power🇿🇼🇲🇿
The movie break each heart, it's supposed to. We have to go through it, to accept we'll no longer see Chadwick on our screen. Have heart man, may you find peace.
I'm sorry for your loss. Grief is normal, natural, and, honestly, never goes away. But it can get better and I hope you can find peace in it; that you can once again celebrate what you had.
Chadwick’s passing was a devastating loss, but without him this movie was able to accomplish an amazing thing I’ve never seen in a big Hollywood blockbuster before: multiple stretches of 15 or 20 minutes, like, half the film, where the only characters talking and driving the plot were black women. So many big movies don’t have even one black woman and this movie was carried to an astonishing height by a whole cast of them. Wonderful to see.
I couldn't agree more!!! Like nothing we've ever seen...and each and every one of them absolutely KILLED it! I'm still in awe - especially from Letitia's performance
I went to see Wakanda Forever last weekend. I was shocked when the tears flowed so heavily from my eyes at the traditional Marvel opening. It was truly a tribute. The movie itself provided so many truths, spoken and unspoken. In a word, it is a masterpiece.
Definitely. There were parts where you truly felt that they weren't playing a character, they were grieving as themselves. Definitely watch it, the way they handled Chadwick's passing was beautiful and most of all, respectful.
*Please Go See It!!!!!* I rarely ever go to the movies and even I went to an early screening the day before opening day. I made sure I had tissues in my purse and I needed them three times. *Especially when Angela Bassett... (no spoilers) ... and she deserves ALL the Oscars for that performance!!!*
Yeah for like the two minutes they were emotional about T’Challa’s death it was emotional. The rest of it was pretty terrible tbh. A misuse of the vast talent that makes up the cast.
It is so hard to imagine someone other than Trevor running an interview with this much grace. Like he was in the movie himself as the voice of the AI and it didn’t even come up because he was so focused on representing the grief and the arc of the story.
I saw it today. Loved it. They did not disappoint, nor fail to honor the on screen and real life hero. #RipChadwick Ryan Coogler is something special, man. Great visuals, SOUND/music and stellar performances by lots, including Danai.
Danai honestly was the highlight of the movie for me. Her fight scenes were so cool and she was just so badass everytime she was on screen. And the movie was really well done when considering the challenges that came from Boseman’s passing.
As an Afro-Latina/Afro- Caribbean I felt so proud of the first Black Panther film. I felt seen. The second, did not disappoint; so beautifully done! So great to see such representation on screen. As if both my African and South American indigenous ancestors would be proud!! 🖤🤎And the tribute to Chadwick... not a dry eye!
Danai is unabashedly thoughtful, intelligent, and funny! Trevor matched her energy, exactly. That's why this is such a great interview. Trevor will be missed.
Danai character just pulls you in. We feel for her amid the sacrifices women make for others above their own family drama. Her eyes are that window that makes you believe!!!!!!
I'm a Mexican who lives in Kenya and I was very happy by watching people enjoying this movie, the collision of Mesoamerican and African cultures it's wonderful.
When you were stripped of your status as General - you embodied that hit SO hard I felt the pain viscerally & the tears poured spontaneously!! You ARE indeed a the #BeautifulQueenBadAss!!!💖💖💖💖
Trevor is something unique. His role in the movie was expanded as well. To focus the interview on Danai and let the light of the movie be shown on only her is just awesome.
People say Marvel movies are popcorn and all the same, watch movies like this one, it’s many levels for you to enjoy however you want, including highest quality drama
While fictional, it was truly wonderful seeing representations like this in big blockbuster movies. It made me happy and I'm not even part of either club!
The moments I cried during the movie: - when Princess is crying out for her mom and they were unable to resuscitate her - Chadwick tribute at the end when she is burning that white cloth
My favorite what if? episode is “what if T’Challa became a star-lord?” The whole cast brought the episode to life and Chadwick really made me wish that this story had its own series. He brought his A game and made it so you could truly lose yourself in the episode.
Beautiful interview....Beautiful and awesome actress....I want to wait until after 2 weeks being out to go see it....during the day and matinee hours....I want a complete uninterrupted cinema experience...which is what I do for the past few years, even before the pandemic....I have no problem going to the movies alone...I actually prefer it most times!!😍💜
Ironically, the only time I like crowds is in the movie theaters because I enjoy the shared excitement from the audience. I only hate when kids are in the audience and they have parents that don't check them.
My mom and I are doing the same. That’s the best time uninterrupted experience it would be even more cool if it was just mom and I in the movie cinema 😊🤗🤗❤❤
The movie really took me on a ride and left me in thinking about how we process grief, how there is both nobility and villainous tendencies in us all, Chadwick and Killmonger both have their places. I will watch the movie again this week and I don't mind paying for it. Superb job, cast!
Exactly thank you to all the cast and those who played a party in the movie. I could feel that they were invested giving 110% and so many of the lines are so real for example the queen bring up that the general didn't protect her when the king went off the cliff in the first movie. It was a beautiful movie. Thank you Again
She's been badass!! My first introduction to Danai was The Walking Dead, zombies on a leash, wielding those serifs so effortlessly. Still one of the best intros to a character to date. I love her.
It's going to be very hard when he leaves the daily show just like us losing Chadwick. Thank you to Ryan Cooliger. Cast of black panther 2 and Trevor Noah for making this diverse and showing the best of us.
I loved just about everything in Wakanda Forever. And Danai Gurira is luminous (even with the ashy head, lol #RiRi!! 🤣). Much love and thanks to all of you for the work you did in bringing this to life, and to YOU, Trevor Noah, as the voice of Griot the computer! You had so much more screen time during this one.🤗 Also, shoutout to *Th3Birdman* who gave Wakanda Forever an *A- rating* in his review. I agree with all you've said, none more than it's honoring of Chad. ♥

this! she's so beautiful and loved her look
She's given LOOKS the entire press run for the film. She's looked amazing!

Trevor did an amazing job as Griot as well.
If this hosting thing doesn't work out, he should do more Marvel movies cause he's killin it
Honestly, took me by surprise when I heard it was him! The whole cast was awesome
I had no idea that was him.
@@pedro1234567ify yeah he did the AI voice in the original film as well.
@@ERGSEG it sounds just like him but I didn't know it was him until after it was leaked in the first film's review.
Love it! Black Excellence, African Excellence! My Sis from Zimbabwe and bro from South Africa! love from Nigeria
We love you as well. #South Africa
Thank you.Danai for putting 🇿🇼 Zimbabwe on the limelight.i am so proud of you go girl the sky is the limit Wakanda forever. Proudly Zimbabwe
Big up Zim
Why does Zimbabwe have to be put on the map?.
I went to see Wakanda Forever last weekend. I was shocked when the tears flowed so heavily from my eyes at the traditional Marvel opening. It was truly a tribute. The movie itself provided so many truths, spoken and unspoken. In a word, it is a masterpiece.
Danai has the most beautiful smile.
I even heard that the acting in this movie was phenomenal at least from people who saw it early. Like you could actually feel the grief.
Definitely. There were parts where you truly felt that they weren't playing a character, they were grieving as themselves. Definitely watch it, the way they handled Chadwick's passing was beautiful and most of all, respectful.
I regretted not bringing tissue. There were 3 times that tears just streamed down my face. First 15 minutes it begins
It was. Esp Letitia, Tenoch and Angela Basset. Strong performances

From Zimbabwe with love. Danai Gurira is awesome
Really appreciate Danai, she is inspiring and we appreciate her putting Zimbabwe on the map!
Danai honestly was the highlight of the movie for me. Her fight scenes were so cool and she was just so badass everytime she was on screen. And the movie was really well done when considering the challenges that came from Boseman’s passing.
This girl is intelligent. She actually thinks through and is genuinely passionate
Her stylist is a genius. Simple elegance. The glow of her skin makes the look. Less is better.
PROUD OF YOU OUR ZIMBABWEAN SISTER DANAI. Tinodada newe mwana wevhu. You rock!!!!! Love you Danai.
❤ Danai!! She is the reason I started watching Walking Dead and I’ll support any future project she works on!
Same. TWD has not been the same without her! I look forward to seeing reading what she does next.
I was watching before Michonne and knew the show was something special, but when Danai came along it was confirmation.
Me, too. I stopped watching TWD after she left.
She was an amazing stage thespian in her own right. You should check out her early work as well. Mother of George comes to mind!
I want to start watching walking dead just for her!
I cried during the tribute to Chadwick. It was so beautifully written and incorporated so well ❤
These two are raising the bar for Africa with their great work. We are proud of you and many more whom I may not mention
She killed that role! Amazing to watch her on screen not just for the fight scenes, but she really brought it with the emotional scenes.

This was a great movie and her scene at the University and in the getaway scene was just spectacular
Dude... that scene with her and Angela Bassett. Powerhouses. Both of them. The anger, the vulnerability, it was magic.
My heart broke for her in that scene.

Are those scars that I see? And she gracefully let them out in that gorgeous dress on live television? My respect for this woman has no bounds. 💯💯💯👌
