thanks for this. I follow Theology of Home and have all the books. I also subscribe to this channel and Renewal Ministries. Please pray for the United Kingdom. We don't have a written constitution unlike you guys in the US. Therefore, our government can literally do or pass anything and asl long as Parliament approves it, it becomes law. Noelle makes a great point about this no longer being a political discussion. For a large number of people, especially young people, leftist ideology has become a religion. Even left-leaning people who don't hold extreme positions will vehemently deny it but as Christ said you will know a tree by its fruit and in this instance the behaviors and beliefs have all the earmarks of a religion, albeit one with a secular-humanist core. Rather than worship a creator they worship themselves and everyone gets to define their own reality based on how they feel. And make no mistake, the zealots are as devoted to their faith as the Christians of America were to theirs during the Great Awakening of the 1750s.
Of course the problem with all of it, the fatal flaw, is that it is not really a movement devoted to equality based on the dogma of a secular-humanist belief system. It is a movement driven by the acquisition of power and control and it's not Karl Marx or any other philosopher driving the train. The father of lies who has been a murderer from the beginning is the one pushing the buttons. Transgenderism and other denials of truth are only the beginning. Unless and until we repent on a grand scale and return to God ground will continue to be lost, for a time anyway. Everything of this world has its limits. My fear is what it will look like when those limits get tested beyond the point of no return, what will happen when we do reach a tipping point and the center collapses. We aren't helpless in all of this. It's time we stop acting like we are.
Please see my post above. I'm a Catholic from the UK. We are beleagured. The UK is the most secular country in Europe and we live in the most secular county in the UK. Where we live, less than 1 per cent of the population identify as Christian. More identify as Muslim, but the majority couldn't care less. They are therefore subject to the wokeness of society. Worse still we are likely to elect a left wing government in our General Election probably held at the end part of this year. As I mentioned in my earlier post, we don't have a written Constitution, though of course we do have laws, but a "rogue" govenment would have no consitutional checks and balances. Only a few years ago a former Prime Minister decided to go above the heads of the elected Parliament to vote for Brext and no one could do a thing. We have dark, dark times in the UK. Thank God, for all you good people in the US who keep the Christian "flame" alive. Please do pray for the UK. Thank you.
