There's very different vibes between the short film and the series but I'm here for both. The series being in English Language makes it feel very different to other Asian BL's straight away and it also feels quite American in look and style. Honestly just by that you can tell this is perfectly orchestrated storyline and talented Actors to give you that feels and they ain't saying shxt then WHOMEVER DEALING WITH VISUALS AND BACKGROUND MUSIC KNOWS THEIR SHXT‼‼ The TRAILER This is giving DIFFERENT with SPICE😭 and the English 🤧 they going head first for their first and am loving it
From my understanding, they’re treating the short version as a literal act, which is why at the beginning of the series trailer, they say cut. The series will pick up where the short left off. The lead actor has basically become famous because of the short, but then he goes on a homophobic rant, and his agency punishes him for it by booking him for another BL role, which is where he meets his love interest (not the same guy from the short, because, again, everything that happened in the short is being treated as fiction, so none of that was real). Everything that happens in the series will be considered his real life though.
It is sad that the project is not supported by the country (or the media agency), and they had to do crowfunding to push it through, as it is not considered a "traditional, family" drama.
It reminds me of many of the gay European movies I've watched. A lot of them have this "two friends discovering themselves and each other while hiking/back-packing/on a trip" concept and I'm really here for it because most Asian BLs, especially the Thai ones, are so heavily entrenched in the here and now and incorporate so much social media that it sometimes takes away from the actual love story. Of course the series does seem to have that as well but if the filming of the BL (within the BL) takes place in the remote countryside, then it'll still give you that feel of it being just them without too much interruption from the outside...until s**t is ready to hit the fan, that is. Also, thanks for giving it some deserved spotlight. I'm one of many, I'm sure, who hadn't heard of it but now I'm really excited at the possibility. I hope that it gets made.
Alyx you have got to react to check out the series. It was super good, it will be out by next year but they released a prequel or something which is sooo amazing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
