Oh, Charlotte! I’ve loved this lady since she was on Days of our Lives way back in the day. I fell head over heels for her. I was absolutely crushed when she left the show. Then after a few gigs, she landed on The Heights, a Aaron Spelling production in the same league as BH 90210,,, in the early 1990’s, I loved her on that as well, but then the show was cancelled. She made my day when she came to NYPD Blue! And even though I was saddened when she left the show, I still follow her. I was so incredibly disappointed when she was asked to return to Days of our Lives, but declined. I sure hope someday she will return to DAYS!
Maybe people weren't big on Andy & Connie together but they filled the empty halves of each other's lives. Theo took to her right away after Katie & Andy broke up. Andy was reluctant on Connie's feelings towards him & her caring for Theo but eventually broke down that invisible force field he put up & they fell in love.
I heard that that reboot didn't get off the ground, they'll try again at some point,come on TV people you green light other shows that are bad,NYPD blue,top 5 of all time!!!
I loved the show, but it was an utterly ridiculous storyline. Forgetting the fact that she's absolutely gorgeous and he's average at best. He's a recovering alcoholic with a young child, and is angry, surly person. Women are just flocking to be with him, lol.

Andy was a quality person, dependable, with a strong moral compass (yes, I know he bent the law in pursuit of justice, but he was a stand-up, honest man with integrity). Someday maybe you'll find that quality of spirit is more meaningful than glossy exterior. If you can find both in the same package then good for you--but to judge only by the cover and not read the book--that's just lazy and shallow.

I thought Charlotte Ross was Absolutely Gorgeous! She’s a tremendous actress and was a fantastic compliment to Andy Sipowicz as his love connection! Their relationship was questioned by some I know, however, I honestly believe that they had a very Beautiful, Warm, and Understanding relationship! You could see and feel the intensity of their love for one another which I feel came thru loud and clear! Who understands what one person sees or feels for another? Sometimes opposites attract and physical beauty is truly “skin deep”!

Between Charlotte Ross, and Sharon Lawrence, Sipowicz was punching way above his weight class. Dennis Franz must've been paying kick backs to the writers,

Donna Abandondo was played by Gail O"Grady, who has a very "classic" look. A real beauty, no doubt. Her main "love interest" in the show was Detective Greg Medavoy (played by Gordon Clap). She was in season 1-3. This is Detective Connie McDowell played by Charlotte Ross, who was there from Season 8 thru 11. It's is Andy's 3rd (soon to be at the time of this clip) marriage. He had divorced from his 1st wife Katie due to his alcoholism and cheating. It was a failing that he recognized and admitted to. Eventually he reconciled with her and his 1st son, Andy Jr. (who sadly passed away). His 2nd wife was Assistant District Attorney, Sylvia Costas (played by Sharron Lawrence, another intelligent and beautiful woman). She was shot and killed accidently, leaving Andy to raise his 2nd son, Theo (seen in this clip). Connie started helping Andy take care of his son (along with John Irving, "gay John"). Connie started having feeling for Andy, and the relationship progressed slowly (lol, making Andy uncomfortable sometimes as seen here). I hope this information helps, even if it is some information overload. Hopefully you get a chance to watch the whole series....it's worth it.

It was a great show in it's time. By this time it had become the "Sipowicz Show" and it had jumped the shark. He was out of his league with the 1st great catch, but AGAIN with this one?! It had run its course at this point.
It was a great show until the started doing crazy unrealistic stuff like this. pretty much know a show has run its prime when they start stupid shit like his.

It was the Very Best cop show on television and I will always love Sipowicz. He made that character his own. He earned every Emmy too.

Through all the hurt, pain and heartache Andy went through over the years I was so glad that he and connie found each other.
