Hello, kindly assist me with the best sociolinguistic theory or theories fit for promoting the coverage of a foreign language in a new linguistic community.
hello, thank you for the explanation. But I am not sure about macro linguistics and micro linguistics, because my teacher told us that: micro linguistics is the isolation of the language from other extreme features. However, macro linguistics is the correlation between linguistics and other field.
This has to do with applied linguistics and interdisciplinarity I think, Where the first linguists believed that Applied Linguistics is unilateral ( only linguistic knowledge can be used in solving real problems), and by the 1980s the field became interdisciplinary, in other words, open to any other field of human knowledge.
@@hmenglish8895 actually I have a lot of questions because I am a first year student at the ENS, and I have some problems with some modules like civilization
'Language varieties' means one language has many dialects, and 'language variation' is the concept of the possibility of the fact that one language can have many variations.
@@hmenglish8895 Honestly ,last year i was lost but due to your explanation ,i could catch up so yeah everything you do is helpful .a lot of concepts are confusing us ;Such as register ,speech style ,jargon ,which one is formal ? And things like that
