Thanks, extremely helpful information.! On mine the Falcon wing door seals hit the spine glass which is about a quarter inch high in the back. I think that's a different adjustment, have you ever had to adjust that.?

Are you asking if I have ever adjusted the roof glass, which is also the spline glass? If so no. I believe the spline glass is fixed and has no adjustment. So you would have to raise the falcon door like in the video.

Wow fast reply thanks! What I was actually thinking about is, doesn't that raise the door also when it's closed? My alignment is good when the door is closed.

@williamhasbrouck3829 yes it will raise the door when closed, and you will see the door higher than the glass.

My passenger side falcon door is hitting the roof/spine on the aft side. If you do adjust it, will it throw off the alignment somewhere else?

The bolts I show in the video only move up and down, aligning the upper door to the spine. The lower door has its own alignment and adjustments, which will adjust the alignment to the rear quarter and front door. The door has two parts. An upper, which is the glass, and a lower, which is the door. The rest of the door should be OK if you just adjust the bolts for the upper part of the door. And as always adjust a little at a time, after you adjust check it. Open and close the door, check gaps all around and do a water test by running a garden hose over the car, wind test by driving it to see if you hear air coming in. But most importantly if it ain't broke and it works fine don't fix it. I have seen many teslas come from the factory with gap and alignment issues that don't affect the integrity of car but is just irritating to the customer.

My quarter panel and front door lnes arre sitting higher than Falcon Door's lines. Seems like my falcon doors are sitting lower than they are supposed to. Should I use the same method as you've shown?

I have a 2021 pre refresh with the passenger side falcon slightly over lapping the front door. Like it needs to go back a little bit. would this adjustment assist? Also same falcon door is slightly raised up towards the front. Thank you for your video!!!

Sadly, teslas are notorious for their bad gaps between panels from the factory. Now, with that being said, if no damage is occurring like chipping paint, or dents in the metal when closing, or water leaks, or air sounds when driving, I would leave it alone. However, the falcon doors are a two-piece assembly, an upper, which I adjusted in the video and a lower portion of the door, which has its own adjustments. Now, when you say you have a "2021pre refresh," what does that mean? Has the car been rebuilt from a previous accident? If so, there could be other problems or panels that need to be aligned correctly. I can't say for sure without seeing the car.

@@nawlyns504 What I meant is 2021 and later they changed the interior and some of the exterior of the Model X. 2016-2020 was the same.

@brianwilson7217 OK. Thanks for the clarification. If the whole door is slightly forward, then you would probably have to adjust the upper part of the door as well as the lower part to move the whole door back a little. I'm sorry, but I can't remember if the upper door alignment bolts have a front to back alignment as well as up and down adjustments. I don't even have a model x here in the shop right now to look at. I'm currently working on a model 3. But to answer your question without being able to see it, it would make sense that everything - upper and lower parts of the door would have to be aligned. Lastly their is a striker on the bottom of the car where the door latches onto when closed. Sometimes, the striker can be loosened and moved backwards, which will pull the door back further when closed. But like I said, without seeing the car, it's hard for me to say

@@nawlyns504 Thank you so much for your advice! I will try to adjust the striker and see if that helps. Currently if the passenger falcon wing is closed after closing the front door it slightly blocks it and the actuator cant open the front door. very slight over lap of the falcon blocking the opening of the front door. Again thank you so much for you advice and time!

@brianwilson7217 my pleasure. Last piece of advice. Depending on where you live you may be able to find a bodyshop that is tesla certified and have them take care of the alignment issues.

Sorry to hear that. How did it break?

@nawlyns504 drove with wing open. Top glass broke and frame with it. I'm doing insurance claim but might do it myself out of used parts on ebay. Door itself and pistons are good just scratched
