Why am I not surprised in the slightest bit that this is a Swift truck on its side in a field on a perfectly clear evening!?!🤦🏻♂️ Only the best work for 'Swifty'!😂🤣 That was a perfect landing right there! Everything came together very nicely after you started getting it off the ground with the smaller air bags little by little getting big boys in there to raise it up. That air bag compressor is obnoxiously loud but gets the job done. Great recovery!🦺⚠️⛓️🛠️👍🏻👌🏻
I am fascinated by the moment by moment readjustment of your plans. Where things go. Which go first, second. Amazing that experience is the only teacher for this kind of thing. Great job. Your crew is really wonderful to watch.
The airbags did a pretty sweet job there. You should get pairs of numbered/colored tags to hang on the bags and air valves. (Maybe build some sort of enclosure for the compressor to reduce the noise.)
New subscriber here. I love tow and recovery channels. I just love the light tower, gets it up where it isn't in your eyes. Those catch bags are amazing, such a gentle landing. Going to have to check out the rest of your vids and binge catchup 😁
Thank you for subscribing! We are very pleased with the light tower, it goes up about 15 feet, swivels 360 degrees, and each cluster of lights swivel 360 degrees as well.
As always I enjoy your videos This is the first of the air bag recover I especially enjoy your editing Some companies make you watch almost every move that they make on a recovery
Pretty interesting watching the air bags do there thing. Really impressed with the landing air bags was good information. Saved swift money in my opinion?
What a great video... The air bags work awesome hopefully you get paid damn good money for doing such a fantastic job with limited if any additional damage done during the recovery
How far from the shop was that? The light tower definitely makes darkness into daylight! The catch bags are definitely handy! Great job as usual looking forward to the next one!
This was about 10 minutes away from the shop, and yes, the light tower boasts over 220,000 lumens so it sure makes it easy for us to see! We were very pleased with the performance of the catch bags as well 👍🏻
The thumbnail caught my attention, glad I watched ,I haven't seen airbags used in the many other channels I watch ,so it was interesting to see . obviously you need your crew in those situations. Suggestions for the air compressor and the control manifold, could you have a large air tank in the trailer, already filled and a bigger compressor in the trailer, maybe a diesel powered on ,so you have instant air at the beginning of the lift ? The blower fill blue bags seem a quick method of inflation. Nice seeing all the equipment in its place on the truck .
The compressor here is not like what most people would think about in terms of most other compressors. This entire setup it is run on high volume, and low pressure. The main jumbo lift bags have a maximum rating of 9 psi. Basically the compressor turns a lot of air fast, same principal as the leaf blower inflating the blur bags. The compressor also acts as a vacuum to suck the bags back down once completed.
As a Rhode Islander I am giving you and your outstanding team a Super Delux A plus Rating fantastic video footage well done For the airbag system Buy once cry once well worth the money BTW not being nosey but how much was that airbag system ??? Again Great works guys Take care enjoy your weekend and always be looking out for your next video
Our airbag system was new in 2012, and we bought the complete setup with the trailer off one of our competitors a couple years ago for about half the price of a new set. The small, high pressure black bags that we were using to start the trailer up with we purchased at the beginning of the year and was about $3,500 for the set of 2 and the controller. Pricey pieces of equipment, but help save time in cases like this.
It doesn’t matter the company, what matters is the driver. We don’t know what even happened so why rush to judgement? It could be a 30 year veteran driver for all you know.
That was impressive air bag recovery. You saved the trucking company thousands of dollars by not allowing the sides to blow out. Beautiful landing on those landing bags. Excellent recovery
How on earth does a driver not know the weight of his load, you should have a copy of the bill of lading, and if nothing else, there is a big difference between 10k and 26k that you’d feel immediately when you pull away from the shipper.. Just another steering wheel holder…
It's funny the driver NEVER knows the weight or has the Bill of Lading in the cab. Breaking the seal on the trailer is only for the receiver. It's understood this is a rollover, just saying the paperwork should be on a clipboard inside the cab.
Each jumbo sized lift bag is rated at 9 ton and a max of 9 psi per bag. So, with the 6 bags we had in, we were rated for 54 tons. Basically, the more bags you put under the side, the easier the lift is on the trailer wall and less damage incurred uprighting it.
Nobody crashes a truck better than a Swift driver. You know they go to school for that as it's a fine art to roll trucks and rip hoods off of other trucks and keep commercial insurance rates high.
@fascistpedant758 I didn't realize Matjack made the big cushions. I have used the small Matjack high pressure bags. Lots of changes since I left heavy duty towing and recovery, 30 years ago. I used Holmes and Wreckers International air cushions.
We used the 2 black MatJack 32 ton high pressure bags at the beginning, and then we used the orange MatJack Turbo set for the upright. Our set was new in 2012, but MatJack has since come out with what they refer to as the Hurricane set that states you can upright a tractor trailer in as little as 5 minutes.
I drove truck for 13 years after 30 years of Heavy construction I don’t know where they picked the Swifty guys up I think the insane asylum because they suck I only drove 750,000 miles zero speeding ticket zero accidents and zero write ups from DOT there’s a lot of trucking companies out there that need to be reviewed I could name them but I think you all know who they are
Just another Swift driver that shouldn't be on the road if he doesn't know how much weight he has on . Then he probably fell asleep that's why he is in that situation

GREAT WORK AND ALSO THAT LIGHT TOWER IS AWESOME. THAT AIRBAG SET UP IS REAL BEEFY COMPARED TO THE ONES IVE WORKED WITH AND SEEN. NIIIIIICE.
Thank you! The light tower has certainly impressed us with the times we have used it so far.

Yes in the trailer, with a big air tank !
@@thatdave86 There's no use for a tank in this case, it's just providing low pressure air at a rather high flow.
@@skunkjobb thanks for the info .

With the catch bags, a load of glass light bulbs would have been ok with that landing! Nice recovery!
Real nice work. Chain storage looks very organized
I’ve seen trucks lifted like this before some very cool features nowadays. Nice Job
Off all of the rollovers I have seen recovered I can honestly say that was the smoothest. A huge well done to the crew from me.
Great job and pray to God no one got hurt and all you guys be safe 🙏 😇
Awesome equipment and teamwork!!!!
Thank you!
That was text book perfect, it feel good when it all comes together, well done
Nice job well done!!! Educational.. like big blue bags...
Those air bags are wonderful things. I like the replay at the end.
As always I enjoy your videos

@WilcoxGarageRecovery I always love your videos
We just had atmospheric river
Huge amount of rain 🌧

as always... top notch
Thank you!
Great job and also a classy move complimenting Sumter on their video today.
Thank you! I enjoy watching/ learning from other TH-cam towing videos as well, so it's nice to give credit where credit is due 👍🏻
Awesome recovery 😊great job with the airbags.
Thought maybe a bouncy house was coming out next....
Some very cool, unusual tools at your disposal!
Pretty interesting watching the air bags do there thing.
Really impressed with the landing air bags was good information.
Saved swift money in my opinion?
Swift seemed to be pleased with the outcome of the recovery. We delivered the trailer with the load untouched to one of their terminals 2 days later.
Another great video and great job. You and your employees work together very good.
Love the way the truck are organice look so professonel
Glad to see the crew in safety vests BEFORE the arrival of the Safety Director.
Glad to see the Safety Director came dressed for the part, too!
What a great video... The air bags work awesome hopefully you get paid damn good money for doing such a fantastic job with limited if any additional damage done during the recovery
That was an awesome job! It was neat to see how you use air bags to roll a truck up right
An excellent video and job well done! You guys have mastered the complexities of air bag recovery - it ain't easy.
Very cool recovery!😀😀😀😀😀😀

Just another Swift driver that forgot what side needs to go up.😄
Nice work uprighting this load!👍 Those catch bags were amazing.
I was saying the same thing LOL Swift motto We just Rollover for our Customers 100% all the time Guarantee 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Perfect
I am so excited to see a video from you today.

Thank you! The trailer itself had very minimal damage from the rollover, and that's the way we wanted to keep it.
Swift... keeping recovery services in business since 1973. 😂😂😂
Good thing there are Zwift drivers.
Can you show what you are good at and correct their mistake?
Nice piece resolved without damage.

He appears to have been a little shook up. He was transported to the hospital. Maybe he was thinking ~10 tons but said ~10 thousand.
It's a Swift driver what do ya expect? I mean he did manage to put truck on its side in a field on a perfect dry evening!
It's funny the driver NEVER knows the weight or has the Bill of Lading in the cab. Breaking the seal on the trailer is only for the receiver. It's understood this is a rollover, just saying the paperwork should be on a clipboard inside the cab.
We actually looked in the cab first, and was unable to locate it with all the other items strewn about from the rollover.
How much load can you pick up with the bag system?
Each jumbo sized lift bag is rated at 9 ton and a max of 9 psi per bag. So, with the 6 bags we had in, we were rated for 54 tons. Basically, the more bags you put under the side, the easier the lift is on the trailer wall and less damage incurred uprighting it.
Seems pretty incredible that one can lift that much with that small of pressure. Enjoy all your videos.

It shows it is election time. So much air available from politicians to fill giant air bags.
