- So this is my first real AMV my other marik one is pretty good though but and BTW i dont own Black butler or "Kuroshitsuji" as the japanese version but anyway. My friend kuu showed me Black butler on a very very long bus ride and we got up to like episode 8 and im in love with Sabastian's eyes! They are just so pretty to look at~! Ciel is cool too, but so far some of my faveorite characters, beside Sebastain, are Grell and the Under Taker. And the cover song is done by the amazingly voiced Katethegreat19!

This song goes so well with Book of Circus, Drocell, Angela, and even Sebastian. It's weird in a way, but they fit perfectly

Everyone shut up. Without Lizzy, Ciel wouldn't have something to escape his busy,depressing life. When he's around lizzy, he sometimes has moments where he is shy and secretly happy around her. She doesn't mean to annoy ciel, she loves him deeply and truly in her heart. Ciel also loves her too but he is caught up in so much stuff,he can't realise it.

Brilliant, I must admit. The whole video but especially the song that was used. It's very, very enigmatic for me. Like... synthesis of an unique lullaby and some kind of spell.
'Come Little Children' is Poe's poem, isn't it? (some people are saying that it's not him but I've heard some saying that the lyrics is based on his poem). No matter if it's true or not, I found something more really interesting because Poe had written another brilliant thing and it's 'Raven', I believe. Please, look for the whole poem but here you have the last two verses:
'Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend, I shrieked, upstarting-
Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!

When you think about raven... who's on your mind? Because I can see the reference pretty well. I cannot be sure if Yana saw Poe's works but that's very possible because she CLEARLY was doing a research of the era in which her manga takes place. I mean, Poe is not from England but he was writing in that time and was known pretty well in Victorian era. What is more, his works often contain horror, mistery, gothic atmosphere and he was into occultism as well (at least when he was still young).
Mhmm, it does seem a bit like Poe's poem if you listen closely though I find myself slipping into a trance when I listen to this so it's kind of hard for me to tell. And yes, when you think about the raven Sebastian does come into mind, doesn't he? Hmm, quiet intresting. Thank you for sharing this!

While agree with you for the most part, I personally believe that by the end of the anime (either season his mentality is fairly similar by the finale of both) that he has completely lost or willfully released all positive connection to the world and his companions therein. He would have found solace with them if not for Sebastion's offer. In the end, it vengeance and the contract that define Ciel, at least by season 1 finale. It is more ambiguous what his motives are in the second finale.

AND in the manga you get to learn about Lizzy more in depth- Her mother trained her to look like a delicate flower but at s moment's notice be ready to fight- While her mother is teaching Ciel to fence when he is 8-9 he gets scared of her and comments that having a wife like that would scare him- So she stops her training to make him happy- as well as give up things like pretty heeled shoes so she won't be taller than him-
oh and in the manga Lizzy saves Ciel by kicking some major zombie ass-
