It would be better because it leaves you in A standing position. It's better for the other guy to get dropped on the ground instead of both of you because if it is something like concrete your also at risk of injury.

using Judo for self defense is crazy. You don't want to touch or clinch aggressor ever. Use krav maga tecniques that ends in 0,5 seconds and run.

This is clean. I never thought about why you'd use one over the other or how one could swing their legs around to avoid the ura nage.
