The last concern, The Obvious Girl is fishing for compliments. I don't find she's that pretty but relies on the makeup and I feel like her makeup is kind of caked, especially the eye makeup. I definitely prefer a natural yet refined look like Jung Jooyeon, she's really pretty and her features are so cute and work so well with her face.

Oh my god the concern about the man with curly hair made me want to throw my laptop out the window. His colleagues bully him like high school students, it's ridiculous. Korea is such a safe country with amazing technological advancements and I used to want to move there but now as a foreigner with dark skin I'm kind of terrified.
Naah if you watch the recent episode of Gag Concert, there's a black comedian(probably) acting as an additional actor. There's also a black family living in Korea(appears in Screening Humanity) so you don't have to be afraid that you might be alienated.
In the world of Korean celebrities and broadcasting, yes there is definitely progress, but among normal civilians progress is slower. It's like that everywhere. I'm still young though, so hopefully it will be better around five to ten years from now.

I'm not sure it's an old episode probably aired last year. They came from congo if I not mistake.
lim pum I think it's the episode with Lay and Kai of EXO or around it just look at the title. My best friend is dark skin too and she live in Korea, I don't think it cause her so much problem. I live in Africa and even here they don't like when men let their hair so long, it's look dirty. I think if he was cutting his hair this wasn't a problemfor them to be curly.
Changjung is honestly one of the best guests ever! He always participates in the concerns ,he was like that even when he came on the show last time ,i think he's awesome xD ♥
Does anybody else here want a re-union show? I mean i would really love it if they brought back people who previously had concerns ,show us how theyre doing after the show xD like the man who urinated in bottles ,the young girl whos dad made her write schedules ,the woman whos husband wanted 6 kids ,the dad who ate leftovers ,the butcher who got rejected coz of his job? etc etc? I want to see them again! PLEASE KBS!

I guess it's more of the fact that natural curls don't look like perms... Perms are prettier...? I actually don't know. 😂 the top part of my hair is outrageously curly and the bottom part is super straight. Sighh... I know how the comedian feels.. I've been bullied since 3rd grade and it only stopped at 6th grade because my mum found out and gave my form teacher a piece of her mind. Even some of my teachers laughed at me openly about my hair back then.

The third "concern" was not funny in the least. I don't know why anyone would want to visit such a close-minded country. It's like they are afraid to be even slightly different. This really puts Lee Michelle's video in perspective. I see what she must have gone through on a regular basis.
I traveled Korea last month and the truth is they are all looked the same. The elder women have the same hair style, short, permed. The young girls have the same length of hair, they perm their hair in similar way and dye their hair in similar colors. I think Korean are afraid of being different
Linh Tran In all honesty, in my opinion, it's not just Korea. I feel like all countries have their own "beauty standard". For example in America (where I live know) they all want either blonde or brown hair and long in length with side swept bangs and they all dress the same as well, UGGS, a&f, hollister, etc.
Sophia Wang That's not true lol. The US is so diverse that there's no set standard of beauty. That's one of the perks of living in a country that has so many different races and cultures. The standard changes from race to race and from culture to culture. So yeah, there's definitely one standard and that's blonde hair and blue eyes but that's mostly something white people find very attractive. Hispanics, Blacks, Asians etc. here all have different standards.

Exactly. And not to sound racist...but it's mainly white people who think *everyone* feels that blonde hair and blue eyes is *the* standard of beauty. I grew up with a rainbow of people and even the white kids didn't agree on a standard.

woah, dasom really grew up well. LOL and the guy she's acting with, i love how freaked out he was when she asked if she gained weight. his immediate "NOPE. NOT AT ALL O_O" was supa cute. Lim ChangJung is always priceless. And the prank guy -- i hope he gets to open his event thing. i think he'd be really good at it.

The one regarding the comedian and his hair. That's just kind of as little overboard, with what the girl comedian said, saying that he "is hard to look at" or the 3 million thing, Like I get shes trying to be funny, but it gets to the person at one point even if they wont say anything, and itll make a person feel really insecure. Im saying this out of my own experiences and what I hear from others. Like we are fking aware that we are ugly, dumb, fat or whatnot, people dont have to constantly point that out.

Yeah I agree with you, even from the Korean comedians standard those comments from that female comedian were very harsh and overboard, poor guy definitely looked very hurt when she said it's not only his hair but his face is also a concern, did you realize when she said that none of the audience, Mc's or the guests laughed? then she dared to take it a step above by telling that story of her female colleagues backstage conversation about him, why she felt the need to tell that story i would never know, that segment was seriously frustrating to watch.

Am I the only one who liked the 1st guy? Yeah his pranks were too much but that much imagination and thought process is just amazing. Plus he is able to give so many memories and fun stories to his friends and bring people together even if its from a bad cause. He's immature but I was fully amused by it
.... it was all a game until accidents really happened or things get out of control. not to mention his anxiety about having friends concern about him or seeking attention would grow bigger and getting worse as hes getting old... not fun at all

When the girl in the last concern said that she thinks her friend is jealous of her I seriously teared. To tell a friend, who helps you out and does it because she cares, that she is jealous of you is just really hurtful.

The girl from the last concern honestly knows that she's good looking and it's getting to her head I guess, but I do have to say she kinda looks like Gyuri from Kara. I think she knows that too and she tries to follow her style of makeup and she doesn't smile ALL the time, sort of like Gyuri. Her friends are actually exactly as pretty though in different ways, not talking inner beauty here. I'm talking pure, shallow outer beauty and her friends have no less than she does but in a different form.
personally think she looks more like SeungA from Rainbow (super heavy make up ver.)
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode not only because the main cast of Melody of Love is the guest but the concerns are so funny and fascinating.
The last girl is just an attention seeker, almost die of laughing when she say their friends are jealous, she's not even that pretty, her friends are prettier. That kinds of friends are not worth it, I know, I've had friends like her.

Some friends just make you feel like a husband or a boyfriend and keeps on asking things they want to hear that is what annoys me the most.
I also have a friend like her too but she has matured now.
She seems like a narcissist to me. Only cares about herself. She basically said that her friends benefit from her being pretty. Whatever. And the questions always revolve around her and no one else. She interjects on a conversation that has nothing to do with her photos wanting answers she won't take to heart. THAT is the most frustrating part about all this. I had a friend that always wanted advice. But never actually took the advice I gave her. She wasted my time. Years of it.
I like the Changjeong guy! He be offered to help him, but also said to just live life the way you were born. I understand his concern if ppl are making fun of him, but I think he should just lave it. If anything, he can just get a hair cut to make it shorter, that can make it look more...classy, idk :p People just need to grow up and realize not everyone is the same and need to embrace that.
My hair started naturally wavy and smooth. Overnight, my hair changed from that to this ratchet dry frizzy mess. The reason behind this was because my hormones are changing. Your hair style can change as you get older and as you get puberty. I hope one day my hair will become its original beautifulness one day! :)

Why are they bullying the guy with curly hair so much?! If it were in America, people wouldn't say anything since people have all sorts of hair here. This kind of thing makes me mad that they think only one kind of hair is okay....we can't all be the same, you know...I'm usually embarrassed about most aspects of my country but at least we don't bully people for having curly hair as much as they do in Korea. Hair is just hair, there's nothing wrong with having different kinds of hair. And he looked like he was gonna cry when the Anna girl said no one wanted to marry him even for 3 million dollars ;; that's just straight up bullying
Taesung Lee The part where the women gathered and said they wouldn't marry him even for $3 million, treating him like a butt of a joke, made me so sad. I ended up skipping the rest of that concern. Poor guy. I hear a lot of comedians have depression problems since they use comedy as a shell/coping mechanism. I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of them.

lkfredd People in America may not think black ppl hair is as desirable as white ppl hair, but wearing natural hair is not something that is so unusual as to get the type of response that guy received. Straight and silky hair is easier to manage and style. But, thick and curly hair can still be styled in cool ways.
+Tessa C What you talking about? The US still has to deal with A LOT of racism and bullying. It's even worse than in Korea. Sadly it's everywhere. So people have to stop generalizing the whole Korean population. It's not even comparable. In Korea it's more ignorance, because they still have a homogeneous society.

The lady comedian was quite mean when she was dissing her fellow comedian, didn't find it funny. A bit sad to think that they are treating him like that too. If that was me, man, not tasteful and very hurtful, shame...

Yep,he even got bullied for it. I know they are talking about accepting it but how can you accept it when you are being made fun of because of that. People need to learn to be considerate of how this guy feels before playing pranks on him like putting a post it note. Its funny up to a point, going beyond that is just a pity for him.

Honestly he is immature (the first guy) Dasom right, a prank is only a prank if both parties find it funny in the end otherwise it's bullying/harassment
For anyone pointing out the pranking guys age, it doesnt matter. Just how people say "Education doesnt measure intelligence" then "Age doesnt measure maturity". Yeah he could tone down the pranks, but he is still responsible. Like he said, he does have a job and only pranks in his free time.
I just think the potato concern was A LOT more important.

Ive always had hair like that comedian. And my family and friends always use it to hide their important stuff like house and car keys. But they end up losing them and I get richer. Lil kids pull it too ... People always do stupid stuff but if you dont allow it get it to you and not affect your self-esteem, you can use it to your advantage. I even hid some cheat sheets in their for tests.

it was a nice episode, except for the last concern, the problem is that some girls needs to satisfy their egos using other people around them, it's not like she's not pretty and she knows it. Even so she uses her friend to be a lot more confidence about herself.

Seriously becoming a huge fan of Hello Counsellor, it is so addictive. I love all the emcees or the presenters on this show. Just love the humour and especially I love Yeongjas style of laughing (how she leans on the sides with her hands out), Taegyun's female voice is just too funny as well. I think Chanwu gets beaten by Yeongja most of the time because he is always teasing her. Overall this is a good show. Can't wait for next episode :) By the way is it possible to request the guests that come on this show??

The last concern: She said her sister said the friends were liars and that she's ugly. This makes me wonder whether her home life is emotionally abusive. It's a rather extreme need she's forcing on her friends. I would suggest counseling and maybe familial investigation.
I can relate to the comedian's concern, my hair is thick and curly, and even living in America I feel as if I look better and am more accepted when I straighten my hair. I also have a friend similar to the last girl, but she has learned not to ask me as many questions as before because I usually shrug and say 'I don't see a difference'.

I still think that the potato story should've won over the prank one. Eating potatoes for so long is very unhealthy and you can obviously see that he has not improved his eating habits.
Sure the pranks could potentially be dangerous, but its a prank. Maybe if they sat down and seriously talked about it, they could have worked it out. I personally found it hilarious. If those pranks happened to me, I might be a little angry but I would find it hilarious as well.
And to those who are pointing out his age of 31 as immature, thats stupid. He has a job and is loyal to others and he only plays pranks in his free time. It isn't like he is neglecting his duties or anything.
