Great post! I've heard a lot of Canadian Brass tunes but never heard this one. Didn't think they did Beatles before their All You Need is Love album in '98, which you should definitely get if you liked this one.
I as a true Beatles fan can both agree and disaggree many song were written by the pair but they both also wrote separately For example All You Need Is Love is written only by John Lennon and Yesterday was written solely by Paul McCartney and some songs like Something and Here Comes The Sun were accually written by the guitarist George Harrison and just to add even the drummer Ringo Starr has a few compositions such as Octopus Garden that were his
I recall someone saying that the Beatles songs weren't written by John Lennon. Most of the songs by The Beatles were written by BOTH John and Paul...but I'm sure someone here will try and argue that point.
It's a pretty brilliant idea for the Canadian Brass to play The Beatles' music, but I must say, I really don't care for this arrangement at all! I enjoyed the performance to an extent, but it's a shame the arrangement doesn't showcase them as well as possible.
If it were the truth, it would suck. But I was refering to the audio recording of it. Which was made at a radio station. So really there would be very little production value put into this. Furthermore, it's not even said that this was recorded AT the station. Someone could've recorded this off location for all we know. I was simply saying, why does the price of a recording have to cost so much when music should be enjoyed rather than bargained for over money. But nice try at flaming youtube.
That is simply the greatest tuba tone. I love chuck..
Always come back to this because it's absolutely amazing!
I love the Canadian Brass and it is a special treat when they play The Beatles
Damn these guys have some endurance
None the less, Canadian Brass did a superb job....as always.
One of the most beautiful songs to listen !!
These guys are amazing. Cheers my fellow Beatles Fan.
music of my fav band played by my fav brass ensemble...absolutely beautiful
I love this :) it combines two of my favourite things , I want to play it XD
This group at this time and recording played really chamber fine music, musically and sonically!
As a low brass musician, Charles Daellenbach is my number one hero.
elinore rigby was in our marching show this year! i soloed in michelle on mellophone although i wish i could play like MR.Reed
wow. this is such a great arrangement and they play it so well
penny lane part was my fav! this arangement is kickass!!! the piccolo trumpet solo was soo amazing

This is just so awesome
Wow!!!! Amazing!

this is amazing, and even better sounding than the beatles themselves. As a trombonist, I LOVE THIS.
Great post! I've heard a lot of Canadian Brass tunes but never heard this one. Didn't think they did Beatles before their All You Need is Love album in '98, which you should definitely get if you liked this one.

well the french horn does hit soem pretty high notes there, they all have amazing chops.
But I have Horn Powers!!! HORN POWERS!!!
Marvellous Brassplayers!😀
@urbancl No, thats's a piccolo trumpet I believe.

Aahlen awer ier de Chef!!! That's some Boss' Thing
Trombone revolution
Bizarre Hülle
Great Music, as always. I think putting this up and no video is stealing their copyright and should be removed from the site.
SUPREMO!!
i have the tribute disc to the beatles from canadian brass, it's WONDERFUL.
soon i'm gonna to upload the songs :)
I'm a sax player and I can't get enough Canadian Brass!
It's Canadian, so who can complain? (I'm Canadian)
You guys are pretty pro!
I'm a tubist:)
very good version. I love it. Does anyone have got the notes for this piece. Would be cool. Thanks
So no one else can enjoy the glory of Canadian Brass but the rich who can afford music?
Eleonor Rigby.
Three saxophonists watched this video.
the piccalo trumpet solo in penny lane is the best part
I agree
@midorizuu because they're most definitely jealous of something this awesome.
@burquedrummer
I agree!
lol i miss the time i wasn't even born
3:55
ouch! that last picc. note made my chops hurt! :S
very awesome arrangement though! anyone know where to find it?
Yeah, that's trombone at the end, not horn. You can hear the horn holding an "A" in the chord (just guessing on pitch...no piano handy to check).
does anyone know where i can buy the score? send me a message plz!
RIP Fred Mills :(
sorry guys, they have a trombonist, 2 trumpet players, a french horn, and a tuba, that's how its always been
shoot I'm a euphonium player and I think their great
Can anyone list the order of the songs that they play? Thanks
@deltadawson101 Why saxophonists have to hate brass instruments? (I'm a trumpetter but I'm just curious) :D
i really want this music too!
if anyone finds it please tell me
TUBA!
answer in front of you in Part 1
I recall someone saying that the Beatles songs weren't written by John Lennon. Most of the songs by The Beatles were written by BOTH John and Paul...but I'm sure someone here will try and argue that point.
Where do you get partitions for that (trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba)?
Sure is something...
@brandoman this has nothing to do with the song(s), but my name is brando, and I think your name-thingy is awesome... just saying...
Something*
haha i noticed that too. only paul's
"these guys have incredible endurance to be able to play for a solid 10 min"
only 10 minutes?? in concerts they play for at least an hour!!!
blancoala1 the one I went to was like 2 hours at least!
Damn, not one song by Lennon. I suppose his songs would be hard to play on classical instruments though, maybe Across the universe.
que tu nacionalismo no te deje disfrutar de la música más hermosa del planeta, es algo lamentable
Great!, but no lennon songs
It's a pretty brilliant idea for the Canadian Brass to play The Beatles' music, but I must say, I really don't care for this arrangement at all!
I enjoyed the performance to an extent, but it's a shame the arrangement doesn't showcase them as well as possible.
where do you study?
for a trumpet, that's not incredibly high, i've been playing 1.5 years and I can easily hit the A above the staff

Nope. Just brass :)
I love both groups but this is terrible.
