OMG, I'm so happy that someone is talking about this series! This is one of my fav video game series and I do think it's criminally underrated! I really hope this series gets more recognition! Love your vid as always! 🥰
Awesome trip down memory lane my dude. I'd love to play Hero's Paradise one day, but either way, I gotta stop selling my games and systems!! Played and beat 'em all, but the only one I still have is TSB. Your ranking seems correct for all I can remember. Hope you get more subs and views for this!!
I knew Travis Strikes Again was going to be the worst, even if I disagree. The combat mechanics may have been not great. But it was honestly just as good as the previous games. Actually you have to strategies more than the first two. Combat was never the series strong suite. It was always the story, characters and pacing. First game had gimmicks in the levels that helped break up the pace of the game. I usually hate it in hack and slashes. But Im all for it here cause the combat isnt deep at all. The wnd suffered cause it was all combat. It didnt really get any deeper, so it git boring fast. TSA is very similar in terms of pacing to the first. Having gimmicks to break up the game. Levels lasted a bit too long. I'll give you that. And the story is fantastic. See it as Suda's story of game development and what he's going through. Says a lot about the industry and the expectations he has to live up to
How I'd rank them: 5. *III* (Really didn't vibe with this one, the combat wasn't as fun, the jokes mostly fell flat, and the writing just kinda sucked tbh) 4. *Heroes Paradise* (The visuals and gameplay of this remaster didn't sit right with me personally, though obviously it's still great) 3. *TSA* (I would go so far as to say this is Suda's magnum opus writing-wise, but the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired) 2. *Desperate Struggle* (This has easily the best combat in the franchise for me, this whole game is just so much damn fun) 1. *NMH* (One of my all-time favorite games, both the writing and gameplay are top notch, an absolute masterpiece)
I think the Bosses in NMH3 are the best in the series IMO! Character Wise, Concept Wise & Gameplay Wise! I can understand you thinking NMH1’s Bosses being better but NMH2 IMO a lot of the bosses were kinda awful. Even the 2 of NMH3’s bad bosses are better then most of NMH2’s Bosses. A lot of the Bosses in 2 were just super cheap and annoying but that’s just me.
I think No more Heroes 3 overall has more polish and better bosses than NMH2 but i hate the fact that they couldnt include different Weapons. Had NMH3 different Beam Katanas it would be my 2nd best pick (Being NMH2 the 3rd best game). Having said that, NMH1 will always be the best game of the whole pack for me.
for me personally the final boss of NMH2 drops the game below NMH1 and NMH3. NMH1 being my fav and NMH3 having my favorite combat and cooler bosses but only 1 beam katana
That's a good thing. Even Suda says that Heaven's Paradise was an inferior version of the game. The aesthetic was worse, it was more glitchy and it was a mess performance wise. Worse than the original wii version
Geuinely confused about calling heroes paradise the defentivite edition when it's missing a chunk of the soundtrack, has technical issues not present in the switch re-release or even the wii version and has an area of santa destroy not available for exploration (the upper part of the map, there wasnt much up there but still)

You should do suda51 games ranking
Good job. Didn't knew this one

It's a shame they couldn't get Evening Star again for the remaster. I get why. Honestly it's a miracle that they got it in the first place

So weird that the Switch version of NMH1 isn't Heroes Paradise :/
yo fr that would have been sick
Heroes paradise doesn't have the full soundtrack, it also added screen tearing issues that weren't in the og release

heroes paradise came out on playstation brother

Trip down memory lane with this one. I
3 combat was the best and there definitely was depth to it more than orhersz
For real!
