I was wondering the same thing! :-O
Pretty much everyone was using atf even in the 80's except for GM who used synchromesh even in transmissions that used aft from other manufacturers.

@@DrinkWhiskeyRaiseHell yes, we almost never re install a dual mass. If we do it's only OEM but we strongly recommend not using it.
