OK, I painted one of my engines gold - like yours. Then I fired up my welding torch and aimed it at the nose. Right away stuff was falling off. Well, more like dripping off. It wasn't until the THIRD time I watched that I got that you SAID it was a brass bodied engine. My bad. Now I'm off to find a home for a gold color blob of plastic. That's what's neat here.

Guys, the jelsma image of No.610 is a 2-10-4 Locomotive, which I believe was also one of the Bi-Centennial Freedom Train engines. 610 appears to be the last of her kind and is preserved I think. Perhaps someone with greater knowledge may care to correct if necessary.
i think texas and pacific 610 is a texas type built in 1927 by lima it is still on display at the texas state railroad as if right now the 610 lived it's best life until it was sold to southern railway to double head with 4501 then it was decorated in the american freedom train in 1976
With in two weeks your wife will have it sold to dealer who will give her 5% to 10% on the Dollar. The dealer will sell it for 30% ON THE DOLLAR. SAID BUT SO TRUE.
