Busy birds on the Solent

Hundreds of dark-bellied brent geese are busy feeding along the waters edge at Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
Overlooking Fawley Power Station on the mainland, views like this are a reminder that whilst the coast is an important resource for us humans, it is also home for our wildlife.
If you visit the beach over the winter, look out for the birds and keep your distance. By reducing disturbance from recreational activities we can help these species survive the winter.
