This song is so 80s, my phone became a walkman, my jacket has 20 zippers, and my hair is 3 times bigger.

@CSM100MK2 Will you find a song that sounds like The Midnight on the top 40s hits? Probably not, but pop in any random VHS tape, especially a sci-fi adventure or about teenagers, and there this sound is in soundtrack. This dreamy synthwave sound was UBIQUITOUS in movies and television shows.
What The Midnight is doing is center-staging a sound that, if it were an actor, it was the one that never got its big break as the star but it was in supporting cast or background of everything.
As an actual 80s kid, their sound hits very true to me.
💗I wanna live in a never-ending 80s synth-wave Miami where the beach, the buildings, the roads, the palm trees are lit by neon light under an eternal setting neon sun. It’s always midnight and the sound of arcade machines are filling the air.💗

"Sunset" is my fav song of The Midnight and Whitney is my fav female singer of all time. I keep coming back for her voice and that synth guitar solo and snares!
Love this. I was a DJ in the eighties and this song was requested all the time. I've become a big The Midnight fan in the last few years and this is such a fantastic mix of the two.

This is absolutely brilliant! I am intimately familiar with The Midnight song that this is based on since I absolutely love his work. So when the song started I was waiting for the opening vocals of the original song but then when Whitney Houston started singing I realized, man, this is going to be great, and it was.

Idk if you'd like the idea, but I also think it would be amazing if there was a mash up of Last Train by The Midnight and Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac. Idk exactly how well they'd mesh in actuality, but every time I listen to Last Train, I imagine it with that piano part from Gypsy and it just feels like it would fit so well. If anyone could make it work, I'm fully confident you would lol
