I recently built a Procat. It WAS frustrating, but it wasn't overwhelming for me....those four thru bolts in the front bulkhead though... It's great now. I destroyed the body by using a small amount of Tamiya Paint Remover, couldn´t find a new body in stock (Germany), so converted it to use an XLS body - just the top and Botton chassis plate.
I’m glad you had a little trouble at least 😂 but got through it brother - I’ve finally stopped being pissed about it now but I won’t lie, I refuse to take that bastard apart for any reason, which is why I won’t be driving it again 😆 I do seem to have an issue with both cats whereby the rear diff lasts about a single run before it ends up with one side locked up/not spinning - but I’m just not going to dig in until I absolutely having nothing better to do or die
I can put a Tamiya together in my sleep. Kyoshos, same. I just got done with my Pro Cat, thank god it went together amd and works smooth, cause holy hell, taking it apart again is just something i never want to do hahaha That being said, I wish i had got the pro transmission before hand. Mine also came with a missing grub screw for the lower sway bar link. Probably never buy another Schumacher again tbh. I got one, im good lol
You are correct! There’s a later video somewhere out there where I make an attempt at 3d printing one more like the original - it did seem to eliminate the arm & crashback binding!! You know your cats sir! 😊
Hello again. Looks like you used the bent up- and backwards wing wires for the 870c? That's why it sits so high. They should be straight or slightly bent upwards. And for the Cat: sorry bad news, you need to take it apart again to fit the untertray I think :) Anyway wish you a happy new year!

Thanks David I think I was having a real tough time with front end/crash-back parts at the time and/or I’d had too many beers - OR I was being overly dramatic 😂 I don’t love working on the car though I guess my skills are not quite up to that level but I do love the car itself no question 👍

You actually have in your possession some of my holy Grail vintage buggies (Hirobo Alien Mid-and Invader-, PB Electra, Ayk Radiant, Yankee Electra, MRC MRX (And I am French; I grew up with these!!!!). And let's not forget the MIP 4x4 RC10!!!! You also have many other rare ones. Honestly I do not understand how you managed to source these. I have been looking for years! You should change your name on TH-cam (by including RC vintage or something) because thousands of true RC collectors would be interested in your collection. You certainly deserve a huge follow up. I mean look at the way Gavin from RC Kicks has developed! I would also advise you to advertise your channel on Facebook groups or Instagram. Maybe you ought to get in touch with Glenn from RC Legends / Tamiya Legends. Wishing you well man; because you are sitting on RC gold.🤞👍

While all are ready to be driven, they are mainly shelf queens, all in pristine condition and a few professionally painted/ My most prized buggies are a brand new Marui Ninja, some gorgeous RC 10s, 5 Optimas each with lots of options (one brand new vintage), a Serpent Sport 10, 2 HotBody DB4 Cyclone World Champs, a cat xls replica, a cat xls full carbon and alloy options, a Clodbuster with options gallore and several others. I am currently working on a SWB Cat carbon with pro transmission which will be fitted with a PM Maxima body, a Dhawk racing alloy RC10 and a Joel Johnson Replica Ultima with carbon chassis. However, the cars I desire the most are the Alien Mid and the Predator X11.
@@davidvoisin1925 dang man I’ve never done FB though I know I’m missing out on a lot especially will marketplace being where most of the cars are changing hands these days… Sounds like you have an amazing collection as well - us TH-camrs sure would love a peek at it 😃 It’s nuts that 2 or 3 years ago alien mids and predators were on EBay on a regular basis (for less than a thousand dollars 😂) - they do occasionally pop up now and then but it seems like everything goes for ridiculous money I might could be talked out of the alien mid, my stereo receiver just bit the dust 🙄
Man I'm telling you, I built a few of these cat platform cars and it does not matter how many times you've done it it makes you want to scream every time. 😂 I'm quite a skilled builder and even though I know what needs to be done just having to do it is so frustrating. The re-release doesn't get any easier. I laughed the whole way through this video. Only because I felt every word of it.

If there's any brand that can bring you to tears it's certainly vintage Schumacher 😂 That front section can definitely put the thought of a sledgehammer in mind. I can't think of another build that's more rage inducing. Hey, our Schumachers are built and they can't hurt us anymore 🤣

Hey Wade my procat comes with a smaller bumper which is not yours the Cat XLS . Not sure if that affect your front arms performance.
