@@sweetcookieoc3020 I see what you're talking about. A 100th episode multiplied to the whole season. Yes, it surely may look sweet (but may broke too much headcanons in the process).
Let me remind you about my old idea of making a fandom-wide chip-in and buying a fandom-wide license from Hasbro for making fanmade episodes (and other content). I mean, if Hasbro doesn't want to continue this show, why can't WE? :P There's enough of great artists, animators, story writers, musicians etc. in the fandom to be able to make unofficial episodes, and this way we could do that legally, and Hasbro would get their money (if that's all they're interested in).
Bon Bon oh I’m sure people take it seriously, but it would realistically take millions of dollars to buy the license and then have a large group of talented animators work for weeks to be able to publish the animation, and have you not thought about voice actors? It’d be very difficult to get the original voice actors, and finding replicas is so hard as well.
@@mustardondpcmc2171 Well, the truth is, *we don't know* how much money would it take, because no one even tried to ask Hasbro about that. But let's suppose that such a license would cost 1 million dollars. This means that we need million of fans contributing 1 dollar each, which is peanuts. (There are fans who spend much more mulah for their merch.) Or a hundred thousand fans contributing $10. Or just ten thousand fans contributing $100. But remember that we're talking about a non-exclusive license here, not buying the entire franchise. I don't think that a license would cost that much. As for animating & stuff... Well, there's already plenty of fan animators who are capable of doing that, and they do it just for fun, in their free time, without being paid, because they love doing that. And I'm pretty sure more people would do that if they could be sure that Hasbro won't Crash & Destroy them. Animation is not _that_ hard if you have the right tools and techniques (e.g. fully-rigged puppets, inverse kinematics, multi-track animation software etc.). Modern animation is no longer like in the old days where you had to draw every frame by hand, 24 such frames for every second of your animation. Now you just pose your rig for key frames and let the animation software tween it for you, and occasionally tweak it by hand. (Also, who says that fan-made episodes are supposed to appear every Saturday? ;J ) As for voice acting - well, that might be a problem, provided that you want the voices to be precisely like those in the original show. And hiring the original voice actors to do that job might be hard, I don't think they are willing to continue working on MLP forever. But there's a lot of fan animations with fan voice actors which are often pretty close to the original. There's also 15.ai ;) There's a lot of background ponies who never had a voice in the original show, and who could get their voice in fan animations / spin-off series about background ponies (something that I'd love to see one day). As they say, losers look for excuses, winners look for solutions. People would achieve a lot more if they all started looking for solutions instead of looking for excuses all the time.
I love they're all out of their normal elements. Flutters as a Black Mage type and RD as an Arcanist are my faves because of how utterly unlike their normal attitudes those roles are.
I saw her as that girl from Konosuba who is an expert with Explosion Magic... but can only use THAT spell, period and only once before her energy is completely drained

@@JainaSoloB312 ...pretty much everything. Characterization was wildly off, everyone acted like an exaggerated stereotype of their season 1 selves before development. I will say, the first half was not as bad as the second half. Although there was the "tree destroyed" nonsense (there is no way in hell Sombra would be able to do that)...that whole thing was an ass pull. It would've made far more sense if it only seemed to happen and then Twilight found out it was an illusion. But I digress. The second half started out bad, and kept getting worse. I didn't see the episodes in broadcast order...so I saw Between Dark and Dawn first. It was the best of the second half...so I was a little more optimistic. But then I saw 2,4,6,Great and it was a piece of trash. Poor Dash, that was downright character assassinating. Then I saw the trivia episode which looked like a parody (it was just a bunch of memes). Then She Talks to Angel which made Fluttershy look like an idiot, and Zecora look like an asshole, and was only there to try to set up some nonsense in the last episode. Right before She Talks to Angel I saw the 2-part finale and "epilogue" in a leak. I then checked out after that...I know I dodged a couple bullets, because I know the Daring Do one was even worse than anything that came before. Then the epilogue which I rate as the single worst episode I have ever seen of ANY show. It completely missed the point of the show, and is a textbook example of tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TorchTheFranchiseAndRun. It is extremely insulting to everyone involved (I don't know who the characters in it were supposed to be, everyone was so far OOC that I have literally seen evil changelings do a MUCH better job impersonating them), and it was so bad that it was like a tumor, and i had to deal with it the way you would a tumor, by cutting out everything connected to it. In my case I went right click delete on S9 entirely, and I now consider Rainbow Roadtrip the finale. The only other episode of any other show that is even in that league of bad is The Timeless Children (Doctor Who) - I rate those very similarly...TLP (BOY they named that epiosde right) is subjectively worse for me because I am a bit more invested in FIM than in DW, but TTC is still horrible (and DW is my #2 show). I am part of a group that is (slowly) writing a new last season (currently in written form, but we aren't against doing comics or even animation if we get people on board that are interested in doing that - we just don't really have any artists right now). But we will have a proper ending that's not insulting. The way the show SHOULD have ended is, in the words of a friend of mine, "the least important day of your lives". Just a nice slice of life episode, IN THE PRESENT, and it ends with everyone looking optimistically toward the future. That is the proper way to end a show like this. I could probably rant for about 6 more pages if I don't stop...one of my friends in our rewrite project wrote an 8 page essay on how bad that episode was. As long as this rant was, I hit on about 1/3 of the points he made, and only briefly touched on them where he went into detail. If I try to fully explain everything that's bad about that episode it will look like a Stephen King novel.
@@microbenggu Oh, the designs in TLP were absolutely godawful...but that is the least of my problems with it. Yes, the "future" models were absolutely hideous (in a show that normally has an amazing art style)...but how everyone acted was far worse than how they looked. I will go so far as to say I found the episode disgusting on a fundamental level. Completely missed the entire point of the show. Everyone acted so off they felt worse than bad changeling copies. The episode marginalized friendship and basically said "it doesn't matter, it's only a gateway to other things" (it said it in actions, not words). And the shipping was the most godawful stupid thing I've ever seen (I don't care if they said "it's open to interpretation", we're not stupid and know damn well what they were trying to imply). There is no way any of the mane 6 would EVER get involved with each other that way, even if any of them did swing that way. It would never happen in a duodecillion years, and it's because the type of friendship they have makes them more like family. They aren't literal blood sisters, but they still basically consider each other sisters, and it would seem like incest and would mess up the bond they all have. Disgusting. (Plus, I don't see Dash or AJ as gay, at all...I actually think Pinkie is the most likely one to be gay if we're going to get into that.) And the episode itself was made out of malice for the community. It was basically "well we can't have this anymore, so we'll make sure the fans can't have it either!" (that's what I mean by Torch the Franchise and Run, it was done very deliberately). In their minds, they would provide a hard cut off so that fanfiction could only be made on THEIR terms (it was people who didn't understand the show or know the slightest bit about any of the characters trying to push their headcanons). But they failed to realize that, just like Doctor Who, Star Trek Enterprise, and other shows, fans don't have to abide by their "canon", and can just disregard bad stuff. I personally filed the entirety of season nein (but espeically that episode) under "Nope, that didn't happen." I see Tirek and Cozy as still in Tartarus, Sombra still dead and never came back, and Chrysalis still wandering the wilderness crazy or dead. And most of all, not very much time has passed since their adventures and everyone is still young (the entire show takes place over a period of a little over 3 in-universe years (give or take a few months). At the very beginning they are 17-18 and at the end they are 20-21 (ish, it's a loose estimate). It made Discord look like a complete total irredeemable idiot and felt like someone impersonating him. The Princesses "retiring" and yeeting off to a "retirement home" made me cringe hard enough to rip a hole in the universe (there are plot holes in that subject big enough to fit Fat Bastard's ass through). Anyway, I'm already getting into a long winded rant and I've barely scratched the surface of the problems with it. My point is, the episode was intentionally made that way to destroy everything so that they could "own" it and fanfiction could only be made on their terms (in their minds anyway, as I said - in reality it does not work like that). The vast majority of fanfiction and even art I see acts like none of that ever happened which is great. I'll go so far as to say on a scale of 1-10, I give that episode -10/Graham's Number (it was so bad that a regular numerical scale can't convey how bad it was and I have to use hyperbole).
@@microbenggu Inter-mane 6 shipping, or even trying to imply it (in "canon" which I use loosely because I don't consider this trash canon...fanfiction is another matter I will get into below), is disgusting for all the reasons I stated above. I basically compare it to incest, even though they aren't actually blood sisters they might as well be. It's one thing if fans do it (fans ship everyone with everyone else, always, in every fandom ever, and that's just expected - I won't say I LIKE it but fandom shipping doesn't usually offend me, because shippers gonna ship everyone with everyone else many times over), but the SHOW trying to do it? No. Pinkie...well that's the "least awful" one, but even that is still terrible (even if the others are an order of magnitude worse) because there was NO romantic connection whatsoever, it was just yet another ass pull. The episode has so many ass pulls, inconsistencies, OOC moments, and plot holes concentrated in such a small space that it will collapse into a black hole. I don't see either Rainbow or AJ as gay. But even discounting that, Rainbow would never live on a farm, ever...that wouldn't happen in a duodecillion years. AJ is just a friend and rival (though friendly rival), they would never have any romantic feelings under any conditions. I actually see Rainbow as wanting kids of her own someday (I see her as wanting to wait until mid-late 20's because of her Wonderbolts career). It's been repeatedly shown that she is amazing with kids and she'd be an amazing mom, but things like that are still best left to fanfiction (she would definitely marry another pegasus, and any of the Wonderbolts would just be too awkward). Overall, not only did the episode not understand the characters, the world, or even the point of the show at all, it felt so blatantly WRONG that it felt like it came from an evil mirror universe. I joked with my friends that it's Sombra's fanfiction. I actually found it offensive on a fundamental level. And I've STILL only barely scratched the surface of my issues with it. My solution to all of this was "just chuck the season in the bin, it didn't happen". So my rewatches now go S1-7, movie, S8, Best Gift Ever, Rainbow Roadtrip, and that's it. S8 wasn't the best either...it was a big drop in quality from 1-7. That said, it didn't completely ruin everyone and everything, and while there were a couple real stinkers like Non-Compete Clause (that might've worked in S1, not S8) that showed that some of the writers didn't understand the characters and only know them by exaggerated stereotypes...there were some REALLY good ones like the kirin one. Plus S8 confirmed what I had known since S4 even though it hadn't been stated (I thought it was obvious): that not only is the tree sentient, it is FAR more powerful than anyone ever suspected. It can manhandle (treehandle?) all of the magic in the world at once without a whole lot of effort. There's absolutely no way it could just be "destroyed" by a 2-bit villian that doesn't have much real power beyond illusion.
2:46 i swear I thought it was a piece of my hair tf xD Also the teletrasported animations reminds me of a film of Scooby Doo about the time traveling xD Amazing animation Agrol :3
Interesting! The races were swapped so that every challenge would be difficult. If Twilight was put in the same game as Fluttershy and Dashie, it would've been too easy for her. Same goes for the flying trial and RD, she'd have chased that gem down in ten seconds flat. The only one that puzzles me is the trap corridor. I guess Pinkie could've easily bounced over the pressure plates and used Pinkie sense to help dodge any rocks?
Wow, the mane six experience what it's like to be another type of pony; Coo! I always said that an episode with that premise would be quite entertaining. We didn't get an episode, but we did get this, so that's nice. Although I'm surprised how easily they all learned each other's abilities. I also really like the designs. They are very cool and unique, especially Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Although it would be been cool if Pinkie and Applejack had some form of apparel. I was thinking maybe armor or something Romanesque; just like what the early equestrian pegasi wore.
Very well done. It would have been nice if the music was tailored to the scenes, instead of having the same song play throughout it. Especially considering that this is 15 minutes long and how much effort was put into this. That critique aside, this is very well done.
I wish they used this in the series the most we've gotten from this idea is discord taking away flight and magic, or the season 8 finale but even still Apple Jack and pinkie didn't have to learn anything new like the other four did since they were already earth ponies.
The music, too, is just nice, simple, and fitting :) I don't know how to describe it, and I certainly don't know how to compose such a cool 14 minutes of music, but it just- gives me vibes c: I love the idea behind the whole animation, too. Every aspect of it was well done.
Imagining what super-powerful unicorn went through all the trouble of Magicking up this game just to D&D with her ponies is fun. Beautiful animation, and I love the in-game pony designs.
*_"Dungeons & Dragons: My Little Pony Edition!!!!!!"_* But no seriously when are they going to make an MLP Edition of D&D. They have one for R&M and Stranger Things..and they do have MLP x D&D figurines so...
Wow, this was a very fun story. Something I could have easily seen as an episode, each of the girls in eachother's horseshoes. I especially liked what you did with Rarity and Twilight, with earth ponies being the tool users. Rarity makes a cute earth pony tomb raider too.
Well she literally had a book that told her how the runes worked, and she easily understood it, so it's likely that it also has good instructions on how to use horn magic. Twilight however, had no way to know how to do anything at first.
Another great animation from Agrol. One thing I will say is that these animations are so tightly packed with stuff that I legit finished this video and thought more time had passed than had actually. I was surprised when it was over that it was only 14 mins, it felt longer and I don't mean that in a bad way, it just felt like a complete story and I liked that.
The unicorn challenge was the easiest. Just blast through barriers. The pegasus one required teamwork and thinking, and the earth pony one required lots of teamwork, thinking, and puzzle-solving
I've been seeing that each race has their own set of hair styles though. Pegasi have aro dynamic hair like AJ's or mostly short hair so it doesn't cover the eyes, Unicorns have the tricky looking but extravagant hair styles, and earth ponies have long hair but in crazy designs or traditional designs. Well that would definitely be quite the experience, being able to see what it’s like as a Unicorn or a Earth Pony Or a Pegasus.
I feel like it's mid-season again, waking up to an whole new episode of My Little Pony. Mad props to you, Agrol, you deliver yet again
Udjd😀😀🤭🤭
@jbiehlable Of course it won't. Not because it's impossible, though, but because nobody takes it seriously.
(Also, who says that fan-made episodes are supposed to appear every Saturday? ;J )
As for voice acting - well, that might be a problem, provided that you want the voices to be precisely like those in the original show.
I loved it 😍! I can't imagine the time and work that goes in to these. I sure hope you keep these up they are so good.
This totally could have fit as an official episode. Why they hadn't tried to do a switch up like this in the 9 season span is a good question. Great work!

Yep, amazing job. 100,000x better than the actual show did in the absolute disgrace of a last season. One guy did a way better job, with no dialogue.
@@StormsparkPegasus Wow you really hated the last season huh? What didn't you like about it?

And AppleJack could kick the rocks and jump over chasms.
The lesson: u should always listen 2 Fluttershy
Wow, the mane six experience what it's like to be another type of pony; Coo! I always said that an episode with that premise would be quite entertaining. We didn't get an episode, but we did get this, so that's nice. Although I'm surprised how easily they all learned each other's abilities.
I also really like the designs. They are very cool and unique, especially Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Although it would be been cool if Pinkie and Applejack had some form of apparel. I was thinking maybe armor or something Romanesque; just like what the early equestrian pegasi wore.
Sad Spike missed out hard..

It would have been nice if the music was tailored to the scenes, instead of having the same song play throughout it. Especially considering that this is 15 minutes long and how much effort was put into this.
