Dang this is such a excellent point. I have a big problem with lavender inks. Any purple that isn’t dark or deep. I really see the skin bitching and think it’s not taking. Then a few weeks later the client comes back and all the lavender is there. Lol
Such a great video, all true. For this purpose I soak the paper towel in witch hazel and sterile water. (It’s like using a hemorrhoid wipe lol!) Witch hazel is anti inflammatory, whereas green soap has alcohol and can burn. A lot of people prefer the green soap “feel” though lol, like its not a full tattoo experience without that signature “burn” and scent ever-present. This technique helps calm swelling, redness, weeping etc.
