    You even play the high notes as beautifully as the others. This is just wonderful. You make my day so much brighter. Now if I can just convince my neighbors that I don't have any cats fighting at my place till I learn to play high notes a lot better.

    Thank you! I just got a whistle mostly learned the first part at least by ear from memory as I love this tune, but the second part had me stumped. Thanks to your video I will be going up and octave to get it right next time.
    I also wanted to say that after experimenting with the higher notes and suffering from ringing ears I went online and bought a pair of reusable earplugs for $6 (3 pack from 3M brand), which gave me the confidence to push the Clark sweet one higher than I dared before. I do recommend that to avoid going deaf to high frequency sounds over the years. Depending on how far you stuff them in you get variable sound damping. :)

    Hi, I love your tutorials and I learned a lot.
    I wanted to ask if it is possible to also get the sheet music.
    I first learned the violin (classically) and through my teacher I got into different folk genres, bought a tin whistle and ended up here. ^^
    Maybe I am the only one, but for me it is a lot easier to learn through sheet music than tabs and it would be great to have that available as well.
    Greetings from Germany!
    (And also sorry for any mistakes, since english obviously is not my first language)
    PS: If there is sheet music available and I just didn't find it, I'm sorry.

    • @CutiepieTinWhistle
      @CutiepieTinWhistle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Glad you're enjoying the channel. I don't read sheet music very well, so can't create my own. I work out the tune I play by ear so sheet music often has a few diffident notes to the ones I play.
      Luckily, you can find sheet music for most of the tunes I play with a quick Google search 😊

  • @GodOfReality
    @GodOfReality 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is the third octave like the second? It's just a matter of airflow? I'm guessing that like the second octave, it depends on the flute and if it'll be able to produce a steady tone for each note.

      Oh, I didn't realise that. How did you get so many subscribers and viewers though? Maybe you have found a niche as your channel is very attractive to tin whistle beginners of all ages. My favourite videos of yours are the fantasy themed ones. The tin whistle is harder to play than it looks! TBH my MK didn't clog that much because of the curved windway but I know what you mean about playing them outside in cold weather! The worst is when it is windy though. I practice a lot outside or under arches because I love the reverb. I have only been learning for two years so I am very much a beginner. 💕

    question: when you do a D note in the 2nd octave, do you just do a 1st octave D note and just blow harder? Be cause I noticed that and the tab says to do the same finger placement as the D in the 3rd octave..

    • @CutiepieTinWhistle
      @CutiepieTinWhistle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can play 2nd octave D in two ways:
      1 - cover 6 holes and blow harder
      2 - cover 5 holes, but leave the top hole open instead of the bottom
