Yamaha Fz6: How to Change Your Coolant

Camera work gets a little wonky in the middle there, but bear with me.

my radiator over flow is empty, but the bike never went 220F in the past 5k miles of coolant flush. Maybe my mechanic forgot to fill out the radiator overflow?

Thanks for the attempt on how to flush the coolant. I think you didn't show some important steps "on Camera". I'm still happy someone at least tried to show the steps.

What would you like to see? Got tough holding the camera and flushing at the same time, but I've got a new setup I can use next time.

kadavas1080 you still. Have this bike? I just bought an 07 recently. Where is the coolant stored? How do. I. Know if the Radiator if fill ect. Needing some help Thanks

So under the seat behind the tank there's another place where coolant is stored?

Some models have a coolant reservoir behind the exhaust manifold on the front of the engine. It is a clear white bottle with a black metal cover.

what size rubber hose did you use on the soap pump?

Not sure- happened to have it lying around. Probably 1/4" if I had to guess.

kadavas1080 Thanks for the info, I ended up at Harbor Freight and picked up a siphon pump for like 5 bucks (works amazing for this job btw).

the manual said that i need 2.25 L of coolant but i only needed 1.75L approx. do u thing that something is wrong?
