I am a granny of 14 grandkids. We emigrated from Scotland when I was a child and never really got to know my grandparents, as they were 3000 miles away. I absolutely love being a granny! I am loving baking with them and I am teaching one of the girls how to sew. I love that you are planning for those days!
How sweet! What a blessing to have 14 grandchildren!
Absolutely yes on the sweater!!
I love the granny sweater!!
The green sweater is definitely your color looks great on you
I had a 9 month old walker once... that was fun! Our latest just started walking last week at 11 months! I love this stage! I wanted to thank you. Your openness about your reversion opened up a can of worms. I had questions, and wondered why anyone would even want to go back. I did some research, attended a mass, and wow, it felt like home. And I was a practicing protestant, 2x plus a week at service with the kids. My husband was also listening to Fr. Mike (bible in a year) as a none believer, and he brought up how I should reconsider the catholic faith. I met with the priest at our local parish and here we are, me reverting and our eldest starting her work for first communion! Thank you for being a Sower of Seeds. Pray for our family and my husband's heart opening to the baptism of the rest of our children.
Also, that green granny sweater is my vibe!
Good for you. Go to the Traditional Latin Mass. It's the Mass of all ages. The Mass of the Saints. The Holy Sacrifice will convert your husband.
Praise the Lord for guiding you home!! I will pray for your husband today - so awesome that he listens to Fr. Mike!
I love your content & it may be because I'm 52 years old, but I loved the sweater and all your thrift findings. It's nice to see someone passing down the tradition of the "hope chest". Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you & your family!
Merry Christmas!
The hope chest is something I grew up seeing my mom and grandma doing. I grew up in West africa, and we used to not have bridal showers. But mom and grandma gather fabrics and kitchen tools for their daughters from the time she is a young girl. When she gets married, the elder women in her family also gift her things to start her home, and they start saving things for her first baby. Love these old traditions.
These traditions are such an important part of helping new brides/moms transition - I hope they make a comeback!
Love all the picks! Sweater looks fab on you. Rock it, girl. 💗
♥️♥️♥️ the “granny sweater “
I can hear the energy in your voice! Its great to see you feeling better and healing yourself!
Also, love love love your 'conspiracy theory' videos!
I would LOVE to do more conspiracy videos, its definitely in my top 3 of favorite topics!
Oh wow, I haven't heard anyone speak about a Hope Chest in a minute! I am only 37 lol, but I had one as a girl and loved adding to it. My Lane cedar chest 🥰 So happy you are passing that down to your daughter as well. Quilts from my Gram, Revere Pots handed down, and handmade ceramic pitchers and bowls were some of my treasures
I love this tradition, such sweet memories!
I had one growing up too and had forgotten since no one ever mentions it. I'm only 35
I am 72 and definitely had a hope chest!!
I had a hopechest and it was filled with homemade linens, towels, etc, handmade by my mom and gramma.
I really enjoy watching your videos. Wish you could do more of them more often, but do understand how busy you are. Thank you for all you do to share with us.
Those mugs are such a treasure !!! Love them!!
When my girls had their 16th birthdays, we gave them hope chests and over the years bought them some tea towels etc. In Scotland, they used to do the same for the girls, but instead of a hope chest, it was a ",bottom drawer."
Such a sweet tradition!
I love the granny jumper❤
I love that green "granny" sweater 😂it looks very much like a Mt cabin sweater. I'm drawn to these kind of sweaters myself because I feel like its unique and doesn't look like everyone else. That sweater would look so cute with a big flowy skirt, or a Jean skirt, a big wide belt and some boots for church. Keep it keep it! ❤
Keeping it after all the positive feedback!
Definitely keep the sweater. I love watching your channel. Such a wealth of info. ❤ my oldest is 14, and I am 37. I love the idea of thrifting, but I feel like I need a buddy to go with to really enjoy it.
How much space would a milk cow need? We don’t have pastures, mostly just wooded land, is it still possible?
It's possible but you'll want to check into a hay and feed source. Or consider goats, they'll dead kill trees but they are browsers, not grazers, so trees/shrubs would be closer to their natural diet. Either way, hay and feed needs to be considered.
Read the book Keeping A Family Cow - the author talks about having kept a cow in the garage and grazing it in the yard in a subdivision lol! You really don't need much space. 5-7 acres per cow if you want them grazing, but if you don't have that kind of space you can just feed hay.
Love this! My sweet Jersey would pee and poop in the stanchion for the first week or so after we started back milking. It seemed to happen when I washed her udder with the warm rags. As our routine was reestablished, she would remember her manners and try to go before she came into the stanchion. Yes mam, I too love the routine of getting outside in the morning for chores and milking. Thanks you so much for sharing this great video❤
Loved the sweater on you. Congrats on the new calf. We have beef, so I rarely get an opportunity to milk, but when I do, I enjoy it until my hand cramps up. Haha!
lol building up to be a grandma. I love it!
I'm from Washington state. Live near mt Rainier. We have antique shops but the prices are so astronomical that it makes me wonder if the owner even wants to sell the items. It's very rare for me to successfully buy something at an antique shop. But stores like goodwill seem a bit more reasonable. When I lived in Buffalo NY I used to work for an estate sale company and was blown away at the rich history, old homes, and all the stuff that the elderly saved. It was truly a treasure trove. And people were willing to part with it. I don't think the west coast is quite that rich with history in that regard.
We have shops like that around here too where the prices are so high I don't even know how they stay open because I never see anyone buy anything! The junk/consignment shops are my favorite!
The sweater looks great- good color, LOVE the wrap!
yes, I got a hope chest from my mom and grandma when I first moved out..my apartment decor had no rhyme or reason but it was home!
I just found your videos,, I haven’t watch this one yet,, but I did watch the one where you talked about birth control and the church , I am 68 almost,, I am not a Catholic , I am Protestant,, but you are so right,, We always wanted a big family,, my husband got a vasectomy after we had two boys ,, we were very tight on money,, and every one around encouraged us to get one,, I cried,, my husband was told he was doing the right thing,, about 6 years later he had a reversal,, but it didn’t work ,, so we adopted two babies from foster care they were drug babies,, it has been very hard, they are 31 and 32 now,, but our merciful God has done amazing things in our lives,, but we talk about this ever one in a while ,,, I do wish that we would of had our own and not had the vasectomy,,, bless you for speaking up,, We do love all our children but it is still hard.
what a powerful testimony! Vasectomy regret is incredibly common but its not talked about much at all!
I love your thrift haul! Especially the blankets!
I was so excited about those, the kids love them!

I had a hope chest. My mother collected items from great grandmother that passed and from her stash. The best item I received when I got married in the chest was a whole Christmas China set.
So special!
Love the granny sweater!! Looks beautiful!

You speak just fine! I’m too old to make it but love listening to the history and know I learned to take care of of our gut🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟❤

That sweater is super cute!
Keep that sweater 😮that is beautiful. I love nature colors. It's a Keep. I love thrifting. Sometimes, you gotta dig to find the treasures .

No I’m 25 and would wear that “granny” sweater lol. So cute
Love the geometric sweater!!
❤love that sweater it’s a keeper
That scarf would look pretty with a turtle neck black dress 15:01.
22:45 story of my life 😅
The comment on how others eat garbage and function!!? I shouted out loud in my kitchen "Yes Sister!" So true, we just keep pounding away!
Sweater: not a granny sweater, looks great and love the pattern.
What are you trying to filter out with the cheesecloth?
Edit: sweater is lovely! I like it
Hair, dirt bits, dust, etc. Things can fall into the milk while you're out there milking in a dirty barn/barn yard.
@ makes sense! Thanks
I totally agree with gut health. In my 20s and 30s, I could eat and drink whatever.. now in my 40's I am more in tune with my body and my menu options are very small if i want a healthy gut.
I think the sweater you don't like looks striking. I like the pattern. Coming from a 44 year old who isn't granny ish yet
I love the sweater, it's super cute
Hahah I love the granny sweater!
I absolutely love the sweater
The sweater is cute. I become a grandma this year at 38. I plan to be the stereotypical grandma 😆
Goals!! I hope and pray to be a young grandma!
that sweat is so cute!! I'm almost 25 and would totally wear that lol
Shawl nice looking too!🤩
Very cute sweater ❤
Wow, I think I learn something each time I watch you. Thank you for what you do as I enjoy these videos. And walking at 9 mths? Determined little fella. lol
he is!! he's wearing me out lol!
Please share your sourdough bread recipe that you make from your milled grain. 🙏🏼
right now I'm working through all of the recipes on my blog and adjusting them to be made with fresh milled flour - publishing all the fresh-milled versions on the blog is my 2025 project!
Nice n granny ready in that sweater Godwilling 😂
Love your thrift finds ❤
Nice nice sweater!
Love that sweater!
Yes! I feel like I can not get my words out and when I do they are the wrong words. But I’m not a good writer either so…😐
I feel like I’m losing it. I went to buy light bulbs, paid for them and walked out without them and didn’t realize it until I got home. Good grief 🥴
The granny sweater is hip!
I would’ve picked up that sweater without a doubt!
Also, I feel the same way about my speaking ESPECIALLY since having kids. I can’t find words and stutter and it’s so embarrassing. You sound good to me though. Thanks for the videos.
the word salad is real expecially in that first year postpartum!
Absolutely love the questionable sweater!
'I don't have a saddle ... because I don't have a horse' .... Classic Stephani type of line, it made me crack up! Thanks for showing us how you milk. Any chance you could explain what happens to the milk by the time we buy it at the store? Ps - the mugs are adorable!
Ohh yes that would be such a fun video! It's quite alarming how much milk changes from the time it leaves a conventional dairy until it reaches the grocery store shelves!
Hello and Merry Christmas. I would like to know/hear more regarding your gut healing g ,ethod. I did buy one of the books you recommended as I have been wanting to heal ,y gut this coming year. I love to cook, so that is not an issue. We actually prefer home cooked meals. if you could dedicate a few video just on that I would love it. I keep reviewing the one where you do talk about gut health but it would be easier if you had it in title (hint). Many blessing and girl I wish I had a cow too! Thanks foe listening. ❤😊
I really wanna try that yogurt. Is there another thickener besides inulin would work?
potato starch is a common one!
@ thank you!
Du you have dry groud for the cows? Love too bee hands on when milki
yes! We have a few pastures they rotate through!
Love your videos, just curious, do you pasteurized your milk products before making your yogurt
I've done it both ways, if you make raw milk yogurt you just have to use gelatin to thicken it up or it will be super runny!
Cows are more dangerous than sharks😱 Always love your videos!
So curious how long you have to milk for to get a gallon?
once I start separating the calf overnight she will let down for me really quickly in the morning so she can get back to her calf, so then it will take maybe 5 min a gallon? faster once I get back into my rhythm!
That sweater would look nice with a brown leather skirt and boots 14:24.
Loved the Genghis Khan history lesson😂 did a report on him in high school!
If you don’t love the sweater completely just use it when you are milking🐄 that way you can still wear it and get use out of it
true!
Love the granny sweater❤ doesn't look granny to me
What kind of proofer do you use?
Brod & Taylor proofing box, I have gotten so much use out of it for many things! amzn.to/41M1qoh
Where is your green bell sleeve blouse from!? I really like it, it looks so feminine and modest. It looks beautiful on you. ❤
It's from neuflora, one of my favorite tops!
That sweater would look good with a wool skirt
Please keep your granny sweaters….fashion comes and goes. In the 70’s those granny sweaters were just the thing for us teens.
Not granny really cute.😂
your cow is so cute. does she have any fun personality quirks? I've never had any pet livestock animals so im curious what little funny quirks they have haha. im only used to cats and dogs
yes! jerseys especially are full of personality, they are so sweet!
Hi Stephanie. So I was exposed to a massive 6 month long natural gas leak, which at tje time before we realized what it was, caused a heart attack and a stroke, left me with severe fibromyalgia and allergies to wheat and dairy. My questions are, do you think these could be reversed, and what sort of diet do you think would be beneficial? I don't have a lot of money, I am now always full time student of Alternative Medicine and my husband is 100% disabled vet.
Oh my that's terrible!! Look into Dr. William Davis' super gut protocol!
Honestly I don’t like the granny sweater on you lol ❤️ it I love the scarves and shawl
The sweater colors were nice on you. Not granny at all.😂
