- If you’re looking for a perfect way to bring in floral accents into your home, try this floral lampshade DIY hack. This idea was inspired by my Pinterest feed. I decided to add my own spin to it and created lampshades inspired by peonies, magnolia flowers and the ginkgo tree.

You can try it with other craft papers or watercolor paper. I haven't tried this but you might have to swap the glue and try something a bit stronger

This is so beautiful. Do you worry about them catching fire from the heat of the lightbulb?
Thank you! I would suggest to use LED lightbulbs so it doesn’t get too hot. I do have one with an incandescent light bulb with lower wattage but I find the LED ones work perfectly fine.

It's made out of the paper mulberry plant. You can get it on Amazon. I have one linked in the description!

Can you use the same technique to make side table lamps?
Yes! If you make it into side table lamps you would essentially just flip the flower so the base is on the bottom. I would use flower wire on the sturdier side since gravity will weigh the petals down.
The one with pointed petals looks like a hellebore flower
What type of paper u used for this
Would other types of paper be a flammable risk? Does it matter is this flammable?

Exactly what paper are you using?
The exact brand of paper I used is called the yasutomo rice paper roll. I bought it from a local art store. If you can’t find that specific brand you can search up rice paper roll or washi paper roll online. :)
What was the glue you used?
It’s called rubber cement. You can usually find it at any craft or hardware store

In stationary you can find paper for making lanterns. Normally for school projects its used, that will be a good alternative.

I want to do this, but I am nervous it will catch fire.
I’m more nervous about using hot glue combined with a hot light bulb. That combo is daunting for me.
I see someone selling a similar lampshade online and wonder if its you? The says its only 20 dollars which i dont think is the right price.
