@@johnboyle8897 it would be nice if you did a video or two on the sorts of things you need to do to prep for a trip, so it's more than just reading manuals or internet, it's about contacting local clubs and getting help, etc. etc., all the advice might help others be more adventurous.
I see a lot of footage from the Finnish archipelago in the intro. Are we supposed to see some footage from your visit to Turku, Mariehamn and Stockholm anytime soon maybe? Part of this same series? When visiting the Baltic Sea, keep in mind that the season is pretty much june, july and august. Off season NOTHING is open here. High season is first half of july when all places are CROWDED.
@@johnboyle8897 This summer we are planning to stay in our home waters (the Archipelago Sea). I will propably do a video series pretty much real time starting in june. We stay out from the big marinas as the real jewels are the small places. ;-)
Problem with St. Petersburg is that you have to stay in the main shipping channel for around 100nm which is in the middle of the gulf and we saw absolutely nothing! Once in the marina - just inside the first bridge on the Neva - we would not have moved the boat again if we had not got the special permit to go up river... and St.P having been our ultimate destination it would have been strange not to have featured just a bit of it - but anyway, much more boating in the next episode!

What’s good
This is more of tourist video that you could of filmed if you flew there. Disappointing on the boating side that this video is supposed to be about.
They should take a page from Fleming Yachts and their amazing trip videos.
