Great playthrough! I love the old school Brother's Grimm vibe to the story. The original BG stories were a lot darker and more violent than the sanitized versions we tell our children today.
The ending was disappointing, but what a twist!
Lars' mother was actually the main villain this entire time! And that wizard is his maternal grandfather??? That explains the scar on Lars' face when he got wounded by a bear as a child!

genuinely really pissing me off how he pronounces cupboard.
To be fair, that's how the word looks like it should be pronounced, given the spelling. From his accent I'm guessing English is a second language for the V.A. He's most likely reading off an English script and didn't know there's an arbitrary rule that the 'P' in 'cupboard' is silent.
@@benjaminryder770 that makes sense mate, to which I say kudos because i thought he was English so it is an convincing accent at least.

Didn't this dude's dad tell him not to trust strangers? Like at any point in this kid's life, was that ever said?! I've never seen someone trust this many people with bad intentions. It's like constantly buying ice cream at a grocery store for $6 knowing full well you can get it for $2 at your local deli. Btw, great game. The voice acting threw me off at first since I just came from watching Creepy Tale 1, but I really like this game.

The whole story it just really sad,spoiler for those who wanna know..so I will make summary of it...the story is about Lars and his family,his dad and sister where you will see in the beginning..am not gonna make it long just watch the beginning you will know...after you watch it if your still wanna know you can read this comment,the whole story is about that the mother want to revenge and kill those who live on the forest,the reason was because the animal/wolve in the forest kill Lars grandma(Lars mother,her mother before Lars exit/being born),it start to trigger Lars mother evil side which could end up revenge,Lars grandpa tho that it was okay and that Lars mother forget about it already when she already married years after that accident happen,but it happen again..lars got hurt by a bear in the forest(which you will see why Lars have scar on his cheek) and Lars mother end up became evil and wanting to take revenge on those who live in the forest cause of this the mother was the red butterfly the whole time,she was turn into butterfly by Lars grandpa(aka Lars mother,her dad,which later you will see Lars trying to find his grandpa,which Lars still not aware that the fact the one he visit in the slump is actually his grandpa before almost the end of the game) to prevent her soul to do evil things etc, Lars grandpa actually plan to lock her into a magical cage to calm her soul etc,but he failed to do it cause he couldn't bring himself to do it.. that's why Lars mother roam freely in the forest and kill everyone except Lars dad and his sister,including Lars himself..her mother want to create their own world in the forest but Lara refuse to join her mother side as evil being that live happily in the forest as killer,so Lars open the magical cage that was given by his grandpa and lock her mother in it to calm her soul...
That little boy has to endure terrible things that in a real life would probably traumatize him for the rest of his life. 🤨😏
