Any advice on short strikes? I’ve been getting short strikes or just enough to trigger a bite but not fast enough to load up the rod to get a solid hook set (countless miss). Running an ultra fast action tip and size down my bait to get more hook exposure to hope increase my accuracy. Never had issue setting ups until recently since the rain. Feel like the short strikes are more common right now. Another possibility could be water condition visibility from after the rain. Do you suggest an extra fast action for short strikes days? What your take? Haven’t fished an extra fast action. I’ve been contemplating another rod setup for slow and short strike days with help possibly minimize for the shorts strikes. Or at least what I’ve been experiencing after rainy days. Too many strikes for it to be a coincident.

When they short strike theres 2 things i do 1) change color 2)change retrieve/jigging speed.
