She's exercising black privilege. She knows it's not against the law to be annoying which is why pretty much all of them do it. So many black people feel the need to be on the phone every waking moment of the day, engaging in some mundane conversation that has no relevance to anything. It's like oxygen to them. They simply MUST have it.
She was “targeted” because she was loud and rude. I see this all the time, especially where I work, people come in on their cell phones, talking to their friends, loudly, or screaming at a customer service person, all the while trying to make a purchase from us. So rude and inconsiderate. She deserves that fine.
Yeh. I hate when they're on a hands-free device that's almost invisible. They'll be talking to what seems like thin air. I was raised to reply when someone talks to me, so I do. Then they try to shush me and point to their ear. ONLY people like her I've seen do this.
There's a difference between talking and screaming, and by my experience, many that "talk too loud", tend to do so to get attention and intentionally do so for hours.
Yep, and they always have to *RUN OUTSIDE* as soon as they see you out there and start making hella noise and flapping their gums even though you continue to ignore them. Ignore forever. How dare they try to force you to give them attention. Get hobbies.
If your talking so loud that your neighbor comes out to ask for mercy then you deserve a ticket, now she understands that being rude obnoxious and ghetto can cost u 385 bucks! Shout out to the neighbor who called pinky 😌
I doubt her voice goes louder than the decibel required for noise disturbance for authorities to be called. Who the Fck calls police, men with guns for such nonsense is beyond me.
Always the same, being targeted because I'm black. No, just need to quut being so loud and disrespectful to others. The same with people who drive boom cars. I just went to doctor's office yesterday and a black woman was yelling on her phone in the bathroom, in the lobby, and in the waiting room and it never seemed to end. She was angry and hostile on the phone and the whole building had to listen to her stupid crap!
Its not because your black, its the behaviors and they apply to everyone! Grow up! If you don't accept the idea of conforming to a standard set of behaviors then you have the option to go live out in the country somewhere with no close neighbors. Its called rules of society.
She asked you first, she didn't call the cops behind your back. People like this 'victim' don't think loud music, obnoxious behavior, and cursing over their phones is a big deal. They're completely disrespectful of others and oblivious to everyone around them. Hope she gets fined MORE.
This is the new America we live in. No manners, no work ethic, no accountability, no respect....everybody is owed something. It's ridiculous. And almost everyone is on board with this shit!
I actually agree with the lady who called the cops on this one. Depending on where you live at, people today are so disrespectful, rude and think that they can just do what they want as it relates to other peoples wellbeing. Why does the whole neighborhood have to be subjected to your conversation? Buy ear plugs and talk in front of your own residence instead of walking up and down the streets all loud. This is not about race its about common courtesy. I have not ridden public transportation in over 10 years and have had a drivers license since 1988. But due to the ignorance of people being loud, blaring bassy music with obscenities, I stopped riding. You usually find this in urban or low income areas regardless of race; its a pop culture thing. 2AM people blaring music like its a block party at 2 in the afternoon. Like people who work and have responsibilities are just supposed to tolerate the nonsense. NOPE, part of todays issue is that people lack respect for others. Then when you try to ask them to reduce the noise in a respectful way it becomes; "don't tell me what to do, who are you this is a free country" yada yada With the woman having to move in the video this could be caused by gentrification. Hence why white people tend to move out of certain neighborhoods when ignorant and disrespectful types move in. The playbook is "we don't want the value of our property to drop," but the truth is they do not want the quality of their neighborhoods to decrease based on; gentrification, section 8 and other government programs. Allowing individuals who would normally not be in certain areas to just come and do what ever. Changing the quality of living. I'm not even white and agree with the woman who called the police. Common decency and respect go along way!
From the looks of it, she was walking up and down the block having a conversation on speaker phone. Sorry, but those people are a public nuisance shouting into their phones a foot away from their face. The whole block does not need to hear your conversation.
@Amadeus Luciann And she likely had two chances to avoid it. The first was not telling her neighbor to get out of her face, and the other was not arguing with the police responding to the complaint. She would have probably got off with a warning. I've dealt with problem neighbors before, and its usually best to not escalate the dispute unless you are 100% certain the law is on your side.
@@TwistyMcFisty In order to hear someone talking on their phone outside, an individual has to be sitting in complete silence in their own home, it sounds like your "innocent" Karen was the one actually being a "nuisance". Since you think anyone who makes the slightest bit of noise outside are "public nuisances", do you keep that same energy for people using lawnmowers to mow their lawn, people using electronic tools to fix or improve their homes, parents having a birthday party for their offspring in their backyard , youth playing outside in their yard, or even a car with a loud engine driving by?
@@inugamix922 lol, where did you get the impression that I thought all outside noise is considered a public nuisance? I specifically said people who walk around having conversations on speaker phone for the whole neighborhood to hear. The other examples you provided, well that depends on the time. Like seriously have you never hear of noise ordinances..please tell me how you can have one and still get a fine during the time when noise is allowed. Like how stupidity does one have to be. Come on now. We all know EXACTLY this type of person. How many times have we thought to ourselves or maybe even said "shut the hell up" to these loud obnoxious people that think everyone within 100 feet wants to her their business. Its a cell phone. Nit 2 cans with string tied together. I assure you that no shouting is needed. The will hear you just fine. But thats not what these type do. Its all about the drama and theatrics.
Yeah, I'd have to have been there. I don't know how loud she was but I've had incidents where I heard a loud racket outside only to find that it's some big mouth on their cell phone. $385 however is overkill. Start out at $50 if the person is actually creating a racket. Maybe $100 if they doing it in the middle of the night. Some people really don't value or have an appreciation for peace, tranquility and not throwing trash on the ground so they can't value other people's right to these things. To them that's dead and boring. They're used to and feel more comfortable in loud, ruckus, trashy environments. Peace, quiet and no trash on the ground feels foreign to them.
yes.. we all know that there are lots of people who are a pain in the ass sometimes .. and that is sometimes ourselves.. in this instance - the bigger villain was the person who called the cops on someone only mildly inconvenient ..
My sentiments exactly. Especially the part about theatrics. I mean, why else would you be marching up and down the street publicizing your business? Wouldn’t it be much easier to pace through your living room or do light chores around the house as you speak? It’s like she’s literally LOOKING for an interaction. ANY kind of interaction. Just to get someone’s attention.
Obvious she is a nuisance with a attitude. And being obnoxious and disrespectful has no color. Kudos to the police for putting up with her. I have a feeling they will be back again.
everyone focuses on what the neighbor did, but how about this woman's response? GET OUT OF MY FACE. She expects respect but gives none in return. maybe her neighbor was having a bad day sitting in her home trying to relax but all she can hear is her neighbor most likely yapping about nonsense, she eventually gets tired of its, goes to confront her neighbor and gets the expected response. @@Sonof-uk8sb cool, so we calling the cops on cars driving down the street, because average decibel ranges say that's louder. Maybe I should call the cops if your dog is barking, or your kids are playing outside loudly?
No....you go inside racist....you don't own the streets....it is not our fault your brain is too weak to tune out TALKING....you sound slow with no common sense....USE COMMON SENSE....NO ONE CAN TALK THAT LOUD ON THEIR PORCH
It could be a racist thing or not. Unless you live there, you probably don't know. Our street had a white lady that always used speaker while walking our block, talking very loudly and not minding her language with kids around. A few of us tried talking to her... she'd just laugh it off. Cops were eventually called at some point. It stopped. There are loud, annoying people of all colors everywhere. And there are also racist people everywhere.
Yeah but the %'s in our community is outrageous. We come like that by default and they do not. We can keep play the "they do it to" game. If we look at the likelihood of it happening its will quickly look bad for us. Cant keep playing a dead game and expecting everyone to play along. Time to grow up and become all the titles we give ourselves.
It's not. Why is the news allowing this woman to make ENTIRELY fabricated accusations of racism? She has no reason whatsoever to think it has anything to do with race, other than her own racism. "Here I am screaming on my cell phone, ruinng everyone else' day, and this woman wants me to be quiet, therefore it MUST be racism" The cops are racist. The neighbors are racist. The judge is racist. Yea, everyone in the world is racist except her.

Can't even tell you how many times I've seen something similar. 99 times out of 100, the person doing it is black. Why do y'all think that is?
I'm black and I do that... But these cell phones is trash and can't nobody never hear me when I'm on it and if I'm in the house it gets no reception. I get tired of screaming into my phone but it's a piece of crap and I have to buy one like every 3 months for it to still be crappy. I really think it's being tapped
$20 bucks say that she has a Constitutional right to be loud on the phone outside in public. Notice how she did NOT get a ticket for breaking any noise level ordinances.
Honestly, I never would’ve called the cops. However, a large confrontational black woman in a bonnet and slippers pacing back-and-forth and yelling into her phone usually leads to other problems no matter the place or the time. Let’s just be real about this. I’m a black guy by the way.
If you have to go out of your way to announce your race, you are more than likely not a member of said race, and that fact that you called her "a large confrontational black woman" despite the fact that she was minding her own business makes it even more apparent. For the record, in order to hear someone talking on their phone outside, someone has to be sitting in their in complete silence, honestly, it sounds like your "sweet and innocent" Karen was the one actually itching for a confrontation.
@@inugamix922.... Nah, I had to move because of this mentality. Our people will tell you that they're minding their own business while laying on the car horns at 2:00am on a weeknight/morning. I actually agree with the lady who called the cops on this one. Depending on where you live at, people today are so disrespectful,
rude and think that they can just do what they want as it relates to other peoples wellbeing. Why does the whole neighborhood
have to be subjected to your conversation? Buy ear plugs and talk in front of your own residence instead of walking up and down
the streets all loud.
This is not about race its about common courtesy. I have not ridden public transportation in over 10 years
and have had a drivers license since 1988. But due to the ignorance of people being loud, blaring bassy music with obscenities,
I stopped riding. You usually find this in urban or low income areas regardless of race; its a pop culture thing. 2AM people blaring
music like its a block party at 2 in the afternoon. Like people who work and have responsibilities are just supposed to tolerate the
nonsense. NOPE, part of todays issue is that people lack respect for others. Then when you try to ask them to reduce the noise in
a respectful way it becomes; "don't tell me what to do, who are you this is a free country" yada yada
With the woman having to move in the video this could be
caused by gentrification. Hence why white people tend to move out of certain neighborhoods when ignorant and disrespectful
types move in. The playbook is "we don't want the value of our property to drop," but the truth is they do not want the quality of
their neighborhoods to decrease based on; gentrification, section 8 and other government programs. Allowing individuals who
would normally not be in certain areas to just come and do what ever.
