Fred is in Denial of his Massacre and Constantly Devolves into a More Monsterus Devil as he refuses to see who he is and looks past his Savage Nature as a Monster because of his Will to Live as a Normal Member of Society.
Gorefield is Lonely and Can't Accept a Flawed world where he is Treated like a Monster and is Either Stripped away from his Jon or Discarded and Feared by Him, so he tries to Envelop the World in order to create his Paradise where he is Loved and Cared for by Everyone.
Sonic is Obsessed with speed because that's What he Was Raised to be but when he Doesn't live up to the expectations of others he Pushes himself beyond and tries to Force the Idea that he is the Fastest because that is what he was created to be and he cannot live without the Validation of living up to Society's Expectations so he hurts himself by Undergoing Several Surgeries and Modifications just so his Purpose of Existence is Validated.

This was honestly weirdly wholesome for a Lumpy horror vid. Like, Barney came to talk to Fred, as his friend and tried to give him a shot at redemption, to admit what he did and acknowledge his sins. Fred just couldn't bear it, and neither could Barney. Barney wanted to at least try to help Fred, but he just can't until Fred takes those basic steps forward. Unfortunately, Fred can't accept the horror of what he did and is stuck in eternal denial, only able to obsess over Fruity Pebbles as his way of coping.
It's equal parts wholesome, tragic, and horrific.
And shitpost.

barney is this era's and the stone ages bestest protagonist in this lumpverse
I think the music at 2:00 helps with that interpretation. It gives me a vibe of “this is not the end of Fred _or_ Barney’s story” - that despite the horrors Fred’s perpetuated and the cycle of denial he seems to have trapped himself in, there’s still a faint glimmer of hope that he’ll be able to recognize what he’s done and someday be able to come to terms with it.
…or the music is just meant to sell the line “If you can’t acknowledge your sins, Fred… stay here in the hell you’ve created for yourself.” It’s a good choice either way.

I’m just gonna say here, the implication of Pebbles being eaten is what shocked me the most (even more with the fact of being eaten by her own father)

This animation still raises 2 questions that will keep analysts up all night....
1.) How did Fred become this giant?
2.) Why did he eat those people, including his own daughter Pebbles?
I'm pretty sure Fred became a giant because he ate many whole corpses and well...cartoon logic.
It's easier to awnser the 2nd question because of 2 reasons:
1.he doesn't have eyes and he thinks he's eating fruity pebbles
2.if it isn't for the first reason,in his vision people may be fruity pebbles (except Barney),similar to TF2's pyro
3.) How'd Barney chain him up?

1.) Fred is probably like a mutant who gains power after eating people.
2.) Feed was probably drugged and thinks the people are pebbles.

My theory💭: Fred was so encased in his “love” (Addiction) for fruity pebbles the larger he became (the larger his addiction grew) he became so enlarged in his F.P. Addiction that it consumed him to where he was engorged in his own fantasies (delusions) to where he began eating everyone in bedrock including baby girl pebbles (hence her name). And so now trapped in his own delusions from his sinful ways and addiction he now can’t or won’t escape from it and admit fault even when his best friend Barney tries to break him out of it and confront his demons.
That can also give meaning to the deep message Barney told him: “Stay here in the hell you created for yourself…”

This is fantastic. The universe you are creating has got me thinking that maybe there's this malevolent entity that's existed since before time began, that inhabitants the bodies of cartoon characters throughout history. Fred was perhaps the first, and as it uses up its host it moves on to the next eventually winding up in Garfield.

I honestly think we need a prequel to this. At the very least in order to explain just how Fred got so BIG. Clearly he could not always have been this large, otherwise he would not have been able to conceive Pebbles with Wilma. So, his growth into a giant must have been very sudden, and I would like to know how that happened.

It's probably a windago type deal. When he ate Pebbles, he was fully human. Maybe food was short that winter, and he had to make a tough call for the good of the family. But the act tainted his soul, and allowed him to be taken over by an evil spirit that compelled him to do more. And every life turned him a little further.

@@LumpyTouch Well, some people believe that the Flintstones is post-apocalyptic. Thus it can be argued that they merely found the chains. But for there to be so many chains made for the purpose of holding a giant like Fred... doesn't suggest good things on the horizon.
Others believe that the Flintstones live at the same time as the Jetsons and merely live on the ground, while the Jetsons live in the skies. The Crossover disproves it, unless you believe that Elroy made a teleporter, while he was thinking he was making a time machine. Then it was the Jetsons who made the chains. But that has the possibility that the Jetsons might be responsible for Fred's change.
but that raises the question of why? Why would the Jetsons (or anyone from their society) go out of their way to change Fred? Amusement because they were bored? Cogswell and/or Spacely testing out a new invention?
Or perhaps The Great Gazoo is responsible for both Fred's change and the chains?

I don't think that cave or those chains can truly contain Fred in the form he's taken now. Only the chains he's placed on his own mind are keeping him there. All the remaining citizens of Bedrock better hope Barney got through to him, or else Fred might well devour all of Cobblestone County when he finally decides to break free.

Because it's so out of place that it's hilarious
this might actually be some way to tie all the gore-people together. we dont know how or why fred turned gore, but we can at least see he's not THAT deformed. sure, he's clearly not human anymore, but he still has a human like figure unlike gorefield, fingore or walter's monster form who only have their face in tact. so this might actually be some kind of prequel, where we see the gore-mutation sealed away in a cave, presumably forever.
however the man named finger might have done something to disturb it or came into contact with the mutation somehow. this caused him to mutate, but still keep SOME of himself in tact. walter manages to obtain some of the mutation, maybe by returning to one of the places where he encountered fingore and grabbing some saliva.
walter then decides to use some chemistry on it to make the mutation happen MUCH faster and more efficiently at the cost of losing more of himself then he normally would using the regular mutation. from there waltgore goes on a rampage after killing fingore. we dont know what happens afterwards, maybe waltgore loses. however a bird (probably a duck in order to fit with the timeline, but anything would work) could get infected by eating some of waltgore's or fingore's bodies or blood or saliva or something.
if thats right, that duck might fly around, not having anything to mutate into yet as it might have no need for a mutation. and might nom on the duck hunt dog, causing it to get infected and somehow rise from the grave. the duck leaves a few minutes before the duck hunter arrives to do some extra duck hunting, and to pay respect to his faithful companion that he had to put down. after a few shots duck hunt dog emerges out of the bushes and attacks his owner as the remains of the duck hunt dog would not have any memories for the mutation to use, only a body.
that duck might have flown near Garfield and john's house and shat somewhere that Garfield might have visited frequently outside the house. Garfield wouldnt be stupid enough to eat it, but he might not have noticed it. lets say the bird shat on a lawn chair that Garfield frequents, and it was still wet when he sat there. or a mouse ate some of it and garfield ate it before the infection could take hold, causing it to ditch the dying body and go straight for the bigger better stronger body that ate it, maybe the infection works kinda like The Thing, where you dont notice you're infected until you turn. Garfield cleans himself the traditional cat way (he hates baths) and went to sleep on a friday.
john decides to go somewhere over the weekend without garfield, allowing the mutation to take hold. over time he turns into the gorefield we know and ____ today. when john returns he doesnt instantly notice anything wrong, "maybe Garfield just decided to sleep upstairs, after all, he's a cat that likes to snooze!". after sitting on the couch a very short while he would hear a lot of rumbling upstairs, causing him to hide behind the tv. and we know the rest.
this theory still leaves a few plot holes though. how did the man named finger turn, how will waltgore's rampage end, if it ends at all. and how did the mutation even escape? and will the two different strains of the gore mutation fight each other? why wouldnt waltgore's rampage be known by everyone ever? unless a *certain* person managed to solve the waltgore crisis in some way and made sure it wouldnt be known by the world.
This looks like a Halloween-type commercial that starts off kind of normal then gets aggressive...
The question is how it started, did someone turn him into that beast and he didnt have control of his mind. Or by some eldritch horror logic he slowly turned into this form.

The ending is quite creepy, the way Barney leaves Fred, is disturbing
THEORY: Fred ate a Demonic Energy Filled Fruity Pebble From Hell, and it turned him into this creature. It hypnotized him into thinking that the others were all fruity pebbles. (Except for Barney for some reason). After the massacre, he got trapped some how. I have two ideas of how it happened. Possibility 1(My least favorite theory): Fred got stuck in there by natural causes, or Possibility 2: the last remaining people were able to imprison him within the cave. Barney, of course, was one of the survivors, and wen’t back there shortly after one day to confront Fred, in an effort to get him to change. It was unsuccessful because the demonic spirit within that fruity pebble that started this mess kept on resetting his mind, thus, making him not realize what he had done. Barney, however, is not aware of this, and decides to seal the entrance, leaving him there, forever.
Good theorys BUT here's my theory/story for this one day fred is tapping into a cave all he has left is a box of fruity pebbles he and pebbles eat them but what fred didn't know is that in the box was trapped a spirit the spirit possessed fred making him grow he jumped into a pit but by then it was to late he then after growing saw everyone as fruity pebbles frist his daughter then the rescuers in his mind he is just eating some fruity pebbles but it was humans

And the end cutscene is fred finnaly accepting that he is a cannibal and barney locking him back in the cave where fred can enjoy ACTUAL fruity pebbles.

It's a Neutral Ending, IMO. Yes Barney and the Remaining Survivors finally sealed Fred but Fred himself is unable to look past his sins and can Never accept reality, the Good ending in my opinion should be where Fred finally accepts the Monster he's become and commits to atoning for his sins, hunting down Monsters of the Stone Age.
