    Hie how are you thanks very much for your work you really help me a lot but I need to ask something can I use this method to do men 'a jacket

    • @senoritaabul
      @senoritaabul  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm happy to help. Yes you can as long as you use the right measurements. Most of the time, 5" is added to mens chest measurements for comfortable fit.

    • @blessinggumboremombe4579
      @blessinggumboremombe4579 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which for men I have to add 5 inches to the measurements I have

    • @senoritaabul
      @senoritaabul  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blessinggumboremombe4579 mens clothings are not as fitted as women's. So you will need to add 5" to the chest measurements. For example if you measure tightly around the chest and it give you 37, I shirt, you will buy him a size 42.

    • @senoritaabul
      @senoritaabul  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blessinggumboremombe4579 so 5" inches is added for a relaxed fit.

    What kind of bodice pattern did you use in the beginning? Was it US size 8 or UK size 8? Do you happen to have a tutorial on it? Thank you!

    • @senoritaabul
      @senoritaabul  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Us size 8. I have a tutorial for the basic bodies on my channel. Thanks for watching.

    can you show us how you sewed the lining? thats the only part thats confusing me😭 did you just use the same pattern but with a mix of the original fabric + lining fabric?

    • @senoritaabul
      @senoritaabul  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello
      Yes I used same pattern but mixed with original fabric on the parts that are visible in the front. Like the lapel and collar

      @@senoritaabul What did you use as your basic bodice block? How does it not have any darts?

  • @assitacalhoun5785

    Is the collar for every size?

    • @senoritaabul
      @senoritaabul  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Just use your back neckline measurements.

  • @varun009
    @varun009 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi! This was incredible! I'm making one for myself, why did you use the interfacing? Is it because the fabric you used was thin? If I use a heavy wool, will I need interfacing?

    • @senoritaabul
      @senoritaabul  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello. Thank you for watching. If you are using a thick wool, no need for interfacing. I interfaces mine cause my fabric was thin. But when making a facing for any garment, interfacing is required for the facing pieces to give it structure. So maybe consider interfacing just the facing pieces not the main garment pieces
