It's a shame that the Rugrats Game Boy Color games focused on quantity over quality. There were four of them, and they all made it onto TvTropes' "The Problem With Licensed Games" page. Why can't the babies attack enemies without getting hurt themselves? Why do the babies have to collect a certain number of objects before finding the goal, which is easier said than done? It's too bad because the concept of the babies travelling to different time periods, while deviating from the show's slice-of-life theme, isn't too bad for a video game. At least the Neo Geo Pocket Color was spared this terrible game.
The concept of Time Traveling in the Rugrats franchise is not unusual, as it seems fitting for the show, as the characters imagined themselves in various situations like that in the various episodes. This game, however, leaves a lot to be desired. The gameplay and mini games seem pretty lackluster and boring at many points, as there isn't much of a challenge to be had, even for the target audience for this game. The only challenge I see in this game is dealing with the controls, which I think is one of the worst aspects of this game. They seem very choppy at points, especially when it came to the jumping mechanics. On the plus side, the graphics are not too bad for the system and they managed to translate the Rugrats Theme Song into Game Boy Color music. Overall, fans of the Rugrats franchise may get some enjoyment out of this game, but for everyone else, avoid this game and seek out better ones.

They should have not had the second level as the second.This game was too hard for ne at 6yrs old lol. I used to tell my older brother to get me to the water slide part. I never passed tge level after
