Working with Fire

Today’s guest is Joe Scott, a Takelma descendant and member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. He currently is on Kalapuya Illahee as Curriculum Director for the Traditional Ecological Inquiry Program, partnering with the Long Tom Watershed Council and tribal families to support environmental stewardship, promote food sovereignty, and explore traditional ways of knowing. He is a traditional ecologist and cultural fire practitioner, and lifelong tribal teacher and learner.
