I don't think anybody has done more to spread the gospel of the keyboard hobby more than you, Taeha. I'm so proud, pleased, and amazed that you wanted to do this with me-and that hopefully we can help you realize your longstanding dreams for this channel. Can't wait to make some crazy nerdy shit with you over the coming months and years. 🎉
Mate, congrats to both of you for such a huge step in your careers - you guys have both been such an inspiration not only for me but for the broader community. I know you talk a lot about how Ryan has stayed true to his style but let’s not discredit that although your content has gone through some changes, you have too man! I only see this as an even further extension of that. Super super stoked for you guys, and it’s an honour to be mentioned alongside you guys too. Absolutely unreal. Can’t wait for the world to see what we’ve been cooking up!
Best of luck, that’s a huge shift. One thing tho: do not confuse “enthusiasts” with “people with money”. You refer to Leica, it’s the perfect example, it’s now a brand made for “people with money”, not for “enthusiasts” (and do not confuse “people with money” with “people trying to be enthusiasts”). Back in the days Leica was used by a lot of photographers, Henri Cartier Bresson and alike, you know the story, because it was a technical marvel, a rangefinder, well built, etc. And (this is where you may be surprised) it was affordable. It was expensive but affordable. Not “expensive” and “affordable” the way those words are meant today, it was truly affordable. It was a good tool to make your art. True artists could buy a Leica, and it was a wise choice, it worked great, it was durable. An artist living today would never be able to buy a Leica and the success of Leica is absolutely not made thanks to “enthusiasts” but thanks to “people with money”. And just trying to be clear here: even the artist trying to save money to achieve some kind of a dream wouldn’t be able to buy a Leica. He probably wouldn’t want to anyway, not only because a Leica today is a far cry from the technical marvel and state of the art it was back in the days, but also because it would be financially stupid. You have to pay for your lenses, you have to pay for your prints, and ultimately your art is not built by having Leica written around your neck. I think the comparison is important because we live in a very strange world where “people with money” tend to dictate some new truth about things, the truth where “enthusiasm” is confused with “consumerism” and show-off. If you’re working with wood, if you’re an “enthusiast” of wood, you should have a good chisel, and that chisel will probably be made by another craftsman, another “enthusiast”, and this chisel will cost money because it costs money to be made. There is some beauty there, it’s a circle and it’s real. It costs money to have a good tool is a very different statement than it costs money because some “people with money” can buy it. It’s almost vicious because it grabs us somehow. Leica is beautiful to me too, it’s a beautiful object, but then I have to remember: it doesn’t make any sense and Fukase didn’t need a Leica to make Ravens.
I’m so grateful for all you’ve done and am excited for all you’ll do at Norbauer! So glad I’ve gotten to know the both of you since I started in the hobby. Cheers 🍻
Thanks for everything - without you, I wouldn't have done it either. You are a huge inspiration and opened this door for so many like me. I ended up stepping away from being a keyboard youtuber about a year and a half ago and focused hard on my personal life. The community was so amazing and is definitely the thing i miss most. I've dabbled with the idea of coming back and doing videos NOT about keyboards - but the fear of being subject to what TH-cam deems "a good video worth promoting" has made me hold off- you are FAR from being alone in feeling this way about being a content creator. Your goal to make more longform, high quality content about keyboards is incredible, and I wish you the best!
Excited for the change and for future releases! You got this 💪 It’s been a struggle as a keeb content creator and also lots of thoughts of how to move forward, so it’s nice to hear your thoughts about all of that. It kinda feels bittersweet but glad to know it’s not goodbye!!
Nathan!! Congrats on this new move and venture!! Looking forward to your new and continuing work with Ryan's team. Having met both of you a number of times throughout the years, I am sure that you guys will push the boundary greatly together. I'm sure we'll be crossing paths again through friends, meetups, and keyboard events. Though I still remain a step away from keyboards by having a full-time outside of the hobby, I am happy to continue participating in the community and share any insights earned over the years. Would be happy to collaborate and be part of the deeper dives into the community, so feel free to holler if you need an extra hand/voice! Congrats again!!
You've been a true pioneer of this hobby and great to see you are splitting off to do what you are passionate about. Cant wait to see the future of this channel!
Congrats Mr. Taeha on the new adventure, thanks for all your content over the years! Please tell Mr. Norbauer that the keeb industry desperately needs the Multi-Pin-Joint-Lube-Free-Zero-Tuning-Cherry-MX-Compatible-Screw-In stabilizer system to solve all of our problems once and for all!! :)
Thank you for all you've done Taeha! You were extremely insightful when I began working with mechanical keyboards. From learning to lube some mx reds to now having 8 boards in rotation. Your videos and streams got me through so much, and I truly want to blame you for how much I've spent. Best of luck on your future adventures 🫶
Hi Taeha! It’s great to see you exploring new opportunities but still in the keyboard space. It’s also great to see all the other keyboard content creators in the comments. It’s a wonderful community and I know many of us (myself included) can thank you for influencing us to get into the hobby in the first place.
Bro huge congrats on the big move!! Such a bittersweet feelin watching through this entire video, but glad to hear it sounds like you’re making moves that you want to make and that we’ll still be seeing you in a diff perspective! 🥺🤍🤍
"Go deeper, get nerdy, and create something totally new in the world of keyboards" 21:31 It's a big ask & not without risk, for both you Taeha and for Ryan. Here's hoping you both achieve all your goals with this new joint endeavor
congrats AND thanks to you! It was you who got me and thousands other into this hobby and I thought i was done.... but there's always more. good luck with you endeavour with norbauer.
tl;dr - He’s not leaving, the channel will hyper focus on deeper keyboard niche topics and other, related hobbyist goods that overlap. He’s also supporting Customer Experience for Norbauer and helping him expand the brand ala Teenage Engineering.
Rolling up his Mr Sleeves and going back to work! Good luck on your career change! We are all immensely appreciative of all you’ve done for the community and cannot wait to see what comes out of this Norbauer partnership.
This hobby never would have become what it is without you. No matter what path you take, you have built a long-lasting trust with your viewers. We're all ready for Taeha's next adventure.
Great retrospective, very relatable, I feel blessed with my career and did several major career shifts as well, and I feel another one might be coming soon. It always feels hard, but at the same time "right". Good luck to the future and I can't wait to see the new content!
Thank you for sharing Taeha, I've also taken the risk this year to pursue photography fulltime. Wishing all us vision chasers success this coming year!
Its and end to an era. Loved your content from the beginning when you pulled me into the hobby. I am excited to see the behind the scenes stuff and I cannot wait to see what you have in store for the channel in the future. Best of luck to your future endeavors.
Thank you for being such a positive driving force in the keyboard hobby! So excited to see what’s to come for you, this channel and with Norbauer! Also thank you for always being so nice and supportive every time we can hang out ☺️

Turning 30 in a year and also, Also going through another big life shift currently, have been in the hobby since learning how to code in middle school. Been around since the alps days, excited for your next chapter! Great team!
You're going to go far, Taeha. You can absolutely, create the Leica of keyboards. I'll tell you upfront, client experience is what will lead you there. Enjoy the process, continue what you love, make people happy, and it'll come with time. The process, is the fun part.
I will never forget coming scross you on Twitch and falling in love with mechanical keyboards as a result! Thank you so much for all you have contributed to the community over the years, you are a legend!
To a new path!🎉 It's quite inspiring that you take on a new path while still living your love and passion. I can't wait to see what's in the future!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Mate, you’ve always been very inspiring in your humbleness and creative vision and this new step in your live again examples that. Can’t wait for this new chapter you and Ryan will be bringing to the community. All the best and luck to you❤
I'm really excited to see what comes out of this new direction for you Taeha! You were my introduction to the world of custom keyboards, and I have increasingly appreciated your philosophy towards this hobby, and design in general. What an absolute treat to watch your journey unfold!
You're an absolute legend. I've been following you for so long now I'm going to keep following you as long as you're making content - no matter what it is. Keep on keeping on!
Both thankful and inspired by you. It was an incredible and insightful experience coming into this hobby, but I too faced a hard block, as coincidently, aligned with the boom of this hobby. Building keyboards was meditation to me and then meeting others who also felt passionately for our unique creations. Having someone like you who provided quality feedback really helped me someone who believes in quality but can be aloof to company greed, you were the guiding hand into an intimidating new world. Your accomplishments within this space are incredible. I am stoked to see where you go from here.
I rmbr when I stumbled across this hobby and this channel during the lockdown. At the time, owning a luxury mechanical keyboard was unthinkable to me. But here we are at 2024, where I'm typing on my first mechanical keyboard with the Holy Panda switches that started the scratch in my head. Thank you Taeha for introducing this hobby to many others such as I, and I look forward to what this channel comes up with next!
Thank you for everything Taeha, you was one of my inspirations to came to this hobby, maybe the biggest side by side with alex, I hope you find success in your new journey, congrats man🙏
Back in 2020, it was your videos and Alex's streams that guided me through the early stages of my love for this hobby and community. Thank you so much for the time and energy you've put into your content and this community, and I wish you all the best with this next chapter. Hit me up anytime you're in the 303 and I'll catch ya the next time I'm in LA for a meetup!
You’re the reason I built a custom keyboard about 4 years ago and I still love and use it every day. Thanks to your videos, my build process was fun and surprisingly smooth. Your content and knowledge are unmatched
Whoa that's crazy I was just thinking the other day I haven't seen anything from taeha types in a while. looking forward to seeing what this new stage brings!
taeha, you're the person that got me into high end keyboards, which led me into working towards, chasing, and appreciating the finer things in life. keep doing amazing things and you'll always inspire others with your art and ideas!
Super exciting news, looking forward to diving deeper into the rabbit hole with you and other content creators! Have to agree that it seems a lot of the content nowadays is sponsored reviews of prebuilts, and we’ve lost some of the passion for the creativity in the hobby. It’s exciting to see you pushing against the grain and getting to do so with a longtime friend! Best of luck to you both!
I still remember one line that you said on your stream, you said that how could you survive on a full time job on a hobby that couldn't exist for more than 5 years. But look at you now, you're still here! Ngl, I already quit this hobby a long time ago, but I'm glad you still exist because if you don't, no one will do it. I don't know if you will still do it for the next 5 years, but if you do, I will still be there for you ❤
Been watching the channel and half lurking every single stream since 2020, sad to see the streams go, but super happy you’ve found a way to do what I could tell you always wanted to do with this channel, looking forward to what you make going forward!!
Thanks for all the support rasambowl, I know youve been a long time supporter ❤️. Streams will still happen just perhaps not as frequently but we do hope to focus more on better produced content here!
Sounds like a step up. Switching from middle class cars to Lamborghini 😂 Im glad for your content. Every content creator in this Hobby is important and you are a reason why some of them started.
Thanks for getting me into keebs Taeha... good luck on the new adventures. But you still haven't answered my question from 4 years ago... what are the hammered rings you wear?
Big congrats to you and the pivot! I know it's never fun being in a place of uncreatantity but very excited for the future and can't wait to see what comes down the road!!

taeha got me hooked on Logitech Blue switches. God bless!
Any update on then stabs though?
@ we continue to be focused on production and perfection of the Seneca, but I remain open to making MX kits available eventually.

on the note of diving into the community, interviews, and vintage boards: please interview some of the ogs like Wodan, Actualglaicer, and Chyrosran!!
They would all be great candidates 👀
dont forget Velvet too
Excellent suggestions! Chyrosran could do some really cool deep-dive history stuff on vintage boards.
We live vicariously through your success. Thank you for the good times and for bringing us out of the other end of covid Taeha!

Ngl, I already quit this hobby a long time ago, but I'm glad you still exist because if you don't, no one will do it.
I don't know if you will still do it for the next 5 years, but if you do, I will still be there for you ❤
Thanks for inspiring us all! Eager to see what you serve for us next 🤓
Your videos pushed me to get into the custom keyb world. Grateful for that. My economy, not so much. Cheers, Taeha!
Love you Taeha!
Finally got my hands on a Norbaforce not too long ago, so I'm super excited to see what you and Norbauer cook up together!
Good luck for the next my friend!
Sounds like a step up. Switching from middle class cars to Lamborghini 😂
Im glad for your content. Every content creator in this Hobby is important and you are a reason why some of them started.
