Having the jacket closed up is still movie accurate, he's like that when he goes to the motel right before the final chase.
Great review..I swapped the body on this figure with the tech nor version.. much better fit he's more bulky like he should be a jacket still fits .

Got this figure just the other day, along with the Enterbay 1/4 battle damaged version from T2, and very impressed with both. On that note, I haven't seen the 1/4 in your collection, which is very surprising as I'm sure you'd love it.
The 1/4 BD Enterbay is absolutely incredible, the most accurate representation of Arnie in 1/4 and 1/6 scale. It left me asking myself if I really needed to keep my other Arnie figures. They almost feel redundant.
These revisit reviews are excellent Dean. Everything about this figure is outstanding - you know you're in for something special as soon as you lay your eyes on the box (one of Hot Toys best). I used to think that the figure was too slender, but having recently watched the film again, Arnie didn't look that big during the scene that this figure was based on, certainly not as big as he was in the opening scene. If you watch him after he exits the police station, his head looks quite big in relation to his body. If you do get the Tech Noir version again, pair it up with a Phicen M34 body. It'll turn him into a tank.

Thanks man 😀 this is the one Iv been waiting for . Fantastic figure, in the top three of my collection . The neck is ok on mine . There is a phicen M34 bodybuilder that would work I think for the body ...
I very much doubt that the M34 would fit into those clothes, especially that jacket. The M34 is perfect for theTech Noir version of the Terminator. Also, the neck attachment on this particular figure is different from the norm and so it'd need some kind of 'surgery' to fit.
Going back and looking at the phicen body, your quite right. It's a shame it wouldn't work. It would be great to have the figure 't-shirt of', to replicate the film poster.
I had the same issue on the neck with mine, its started to peel off, other issue is the jacket itself its starts to deteriorate. Lucky mine still looks new. Also you're right about the upper body proportions seems a little too thin! Great review though.
I had the same neck problem with both the Tech Noir and Christopher Reeve Superman figures, not just with the paint, but also the plastic around the neck socket. It's terrible and just cracks and crumbles away.
I modded his neck so it’s thicker. Looks a lot better.
This is definitely the best Hot Toys Terminator a lot better than the DX13 Terminator as I own that as well, what lets that figure down is the bad paint apps, the skin tone is far to brown on the DX13 and everything seems to get lost on that head sculpt but this figure has the better paint work and skin tone and I feel this is the better figure as the DX13 was full of hype by collectors and is not as good as everybody thinks it is, oh that's pretty bad what's happened with the neck on your figure, I don't have that problem with my figure but then again I don't change the heads that much but I do move the head around a lot so all I can think of what's caused that damage to the neck is switching the heads to much.

I just missed out on buying one a guy was selling one for £130 only issue was the zip was broken on the jacket
i wonder what the likely hood is of one that has been sleaed in it's box of having that neck issue...

Hi like John said the Phicen 34 body works perfectly with this figure and if it's your 1st time with a Phicen (TB League) body your going to want to swap out all of the cheep Hot Toys body's for them, they make your figures look and feel real, nice retro reviews I'm a fan of your work.
How does the MMS238 look with the M34 Phicen? Have you tried it yet?
Awesome review as always. I was wondering, does hot weather 35 to 40c effect paint or anything with these figures. I have a really nice room, no direct sunlight theatre/gaming room but its going to be a while before we can get air conditioning in that area of the house. It sits at around 37 in the summer in that room, pretty hot. Im in AU, so its fairly warm alot of the year and don't want to see the figures damaged by heat. Do you think it will damage them, or even have the potential to fade the paint?
I have just started collecting, really new to it. My Obi Wan Mythos arrives this Tuesday or Wednesday.

And I'm most likely not getting this figure for less than $400.00. Is there any place else where this figure might be sold? I'm open to suggestions

Does your 1/4 endoskelton paint show wearing? I noticed mine on the side of his eye socket paint seems to rubbed off?

Agreed! T2 has some amazing set-pieces and the T1000 is awesome, but personally I much prefer Arnie as the bad 'guy' instead of the good 'guy'. That , and T1 is so much more gritty, violent and atmospheric.
