I started my hobby of models when my parents took me to a model shop in Stanton and I got the HG Blue Destiny. I didn't know that I needed a hobby nipper, so I used my fingers and pried the parts off. It was really fun to build and I was hooked ever since.
man, i have been doing gunpla for almost 20 years and I still use my thumb nails to free the parts... dont know why, but it just feels right to me lol

3 years ago, My GF at the time (now my wife) gave me a HG Xiphos during my 26th bday, she though it would be funny to give me a 'toy' as a present but lo and behold it became a hobby. Until now she blames herself why i got into gunpla hobby but she supports it as long as i dont break our bank savings, but im glad that i found this hobby through her, not only its amazing but now i got a funny story to tell, atleast if we do get children in the future and they asked me why i like plastic robot toys i will point my fingers to my wife.

I started having a love affair with this hobby when a family member of mine introduced this amazing hobby to me a couple years back. The first kit I built was an FG Aegis Gundam.
Back then, I used to consider Gunpla as just a "get away" hobby or a way to fill in gaps of time.
But now, I started seeing it as a Therapy for myself as it helps me shutting down all the distractions in my life.

I know gundam when i played gundam ps2 games from my cousin. at first there are nothing special feeling about gundam and it changed when i started watching anime and one of the first anime i watch is gundam seed continue with gundam seed destiny. I was mesmerized when i saw the fight scene,it was very epic but i don't take gunpla building seriously because i was kind of young. When i got to sbp, i meet someone who is very talented at art and some how love anime too so i suggested a few anime to him.at that time i had watch gundam build fighter and i suggested it to my friend . After watching that ,my friend made a decision to buy a gunpla and i was influenced by him so i also buy my first gunpla hg gundam star build strike thus began my journey as a gunpla builder 🤣🤣🤣

Some people starts tell their stories by loving gundam since child... well i hope my story give some other prspective and fun to read haha, do i watch gundam before? Yes back when i'm in elementary till junior high school,,, my first gunpla? On my 2nd year as an undergraduate,,, so i was watching gundam before but never realize how great and much fun it is to build a gunpla till that day,

how come? Well it happen in the end of my 1st year, i took some IQ test and just that time i realize... i always s**k at mechanincal thinking part(i dont know what is that part actually named),,, although well yea the overall score isnt bad,,, so i thinking bout a way to increase my skill on that part, i found my old Apache helicopter plamo, which I bought when i'm 10 years old (lmao),,, and yes its still on box never touched, even the runer's plastic still wrap it all around,,, so yea that plamo make me feel an urge to to finish it but then until I realize such military plamo really need a lot of equipment,,,
.
But i never stop, now that i believe plamo is a good way to increase my skill at mechanical (lmao) so i searching and then found an interest at gunpla, which i think at that time that gunpla didnt need any much equipment to build (lmao), so then i bought my first gunpla HG barbatos~ and thats the time i started to love gunpla

Sadly, now in this covid era, my family's economy isnt that good, so yeah i already sold my MG HG even SDEX lol, maybe some of u did it too.., but yea i come here not to stupidly beg for that G40, thank god if i win this giveaway lmao, but i pray to whoever get this giveaway, it will bring cheers and hope in this pandemic era,.. and let us remember gunpla not just can increase ur mechanical thinking like mine lmao but deeply if u have a full love and full dedication to it, it will become more than just a plastic toy😁 i mean look at this holy Dynames! I am a hardcore mecha fan since my childhood. Around the age of 16, one of my friends introduced me to gunpla and it was super fascinating, later that week I and my friend got to the hobby store where we choose my first gunpla, which was the HG Unicorn. Since then, I've absolutely loved this hobby!
i started this when I was 11 years old, I always wait for the Gundam Wing to air on cartoon network. And my first gunpla bought was out of my lunch money. I tried saving up until I can buy the HG 1/100 sandrock ( that was the only thing available at that time) never been happier in my life! and up until now I'm still a big fan of gunpla! cheers to this hobby! more power to you man!

I start gunpla hobby since my uncle give me bootleg murasame Gundam and i build it at home,after i finishing it,i feel enjoy with the result and not long after that,i buy my second Gundam that is Barbatos Lupus Rex hg
I started this gunpla hobby since the beginning of April 2018, and the first kit I bought at that time was HG Impulse Gundam. Previously I really liked Gundam since middle school and at that time I only enjoyed it through the film series and some of the games too. but after I entered college, I became curious to try to play Gunpla and it turned out to be very fun and from there I enjoyed playing Gunpla until now

the beginning I liked gunpla, I saw the anime that is gundam wing, and wanted to have the toy, but was only able to buy it when I first started working, my first gundam was SD gundam bansee norn
I started this hobby after my first time watching gundam 00. I fell in love with the exia and and bought a hg version of it. Lepas tu, the rest is history 😂. Racun itu benar hahaha

I started my hobby like a couple years back I forgot,back then my dad bought on of the unicorn kits I forgot either its mg or hg then I got a sd but back then I got no intrest yet.Then a couple of years later I saw build fighters,it was very interesting.But the thing that got me to gundam or gunpla is Unicorn Gundam I say it was cool and after I watch asked my dad to get me a RG Unicorn gundam and then when I get very interested with Gunpla and Gundam but still favorite gundam is unicorn gundam
I built my first gunpla kit in may 2020 . It was the hgbd build strike gundam.
When I was 9 yrs old I was building modal planes and army tanks. I never knew what gunpla was at that time. One time I went to a Japanese fair with my mum and saw a RX-78 Gundam. I built it back at home and grew to love building gunpla. I wanted to build more because I have something to focus on then my depression but since when Covid-19 lock down happened I didn't have a chance to build gunpla till today. When I discovered your videos while in lock down I learnt how to build gunpla and makes me want to build more. I always get happy when your videos get posted and watch it again sometimes. Gunpla wasn't really available here in New Zealand were I live. I want to build more to help my depression.
Saya start minat Gundam ni dah lama dah. 2000 berapa pun saya tak ingat. sebab yang saya minat dengan Gundam in saya ada tertengok satu cerita mobile suit Gundam 00 yang ditayangkan di NTV 7. itulah cerita Gundam pertama saya yang saya tengok dari season1 sampai season 2 mungkin. Saya cuma dapat tengok Ja ceritanya tapi nak membeli mainannya pada masa tu memang susah sikitlah tak ada duit nak buat macam mana. saya adalah beli gundam yang murah masa saya kecik dekat pasar malam tak sampai RM20 pun.Tapi sekarang saya dapat beli mainan nya yang original dari bandai. Tak silap saya Gundam pertama saya beli Gundam 00 exia RG. Saya beli Gundam saya ni dua tahun lepas bulan 5 tak silap sayalah. Dan sekarang saya tengah berusaha beli satu persatu gundam mengikut bajet yang ada. paling tidak pun bawah RM100 mungkin. Saya tahu ada yang atas daripada RM100 ikut kemampuan. Lagipun saya masih baru lagi dalam bidang Gundam ni. Dengan adanya sokongan, support dan minat yang lebih tinggi mungkinlah dapat pergi lebih jauh. sekian terima kasih itulah cerita saya ni mulanya Saya minat dengan Gundam. Last year i started in thid hobby when i visited a big convention in Paris and i saw a Gunpla shop there. What i saw there blew my mind and i finally bought a SDCS Nightingale and I enjoyed a lot building and painting it. Such a nice hobby 😊

Okay my story is
I started building,my first ever model kit of gunpla was SD impulse which is I'd say 10 years ago and then I never really involved much in model building except I do watch some series such as double 00
Fast forward,I got my first MG which is epyon for my 13th birthday and I still remember it took me 1 month to build it each weekend but it ended up destroyed under unfortunate circumstances.
Another fast forward!
I'm now 16 and I give this hobby another try,I bought a MG astray red frame kai and custom paint it using spray paint branded SAMURAI.I got a lot of support and compliment from my step grandmother.A year after that i bought an airbrush set and start to get involved in this hobby pretty consistently.I bought plenty of HGs since and a couple of MGs and custom paint most of them.
Even today I'm working on barbatos dragon king as my new custom project 😇⭐
I started 20 years ago, Dragon Ball Z was getting big here in the states and I went to an anime shop near Downtown Dallas. They had a few gundam wing kits and I was hooked after snapping together a HG Sandrock. Used to order from HLJ all the time.

I started gunpla this year. i have only made 2 gundams this year, and got into it when my best friend showed my his creation and made me build one if his kit. it was fun and satisfying so i immediately got into building gunpla.
I found your channel earlier this week and have been loving how detailed the custom build videos are. Your love for the craft really does show throughout the whole build process and especially in the final product. The videos are really inspiring and make me want to try my hand at them using what I learned. My older brother recently started getting into gundam and I've been taken along for the ride. We've both immersed ourselves into all things Gundam and I've found it to be a great way to bond with him. His first kit was the MG Lunamaria and mine was the RG Amatsu Mina.
I started around 6 years ago, when my dad brought a Freedom Gundam home, i fall in love ever since. rn im building RG sazabi, im using everything I know, and things i found on internet to make it as good as i can.

Mecha Godzilla... As crazy as it sounds, that is where it started. When I was a child and watched movies with my father we would watch Godzilla and once I saw Mecha Godzilla I was hooked. Next came Robotech and then later Gundam. 40 years since those early days of watching Godzilla, I found myself depressed and needing something to express my own interests. I tried with Warhammer 40k models, other small painting busts and other things but something was missing. Trying to pass down model making to my nephew who has no father led me to Gundam. Being a fan of the many series within that range added to my overall interest in the models themselves. Overall, I am still learning and will always be learning.

I only know this gunpla hobby, cause i heard someone discuss it somewhere. I'm curious, but i don't really want to start, cause i don't know where to buy it. Then likely 3 years ago, my curiousity drives me to find out about this hobby. And i try to watch gunpla related stuff on TH-cam like review, assembly, painting video, and then the anime. I first watched the build fighter series, this is when i know gunpla can be customed infinitily. I tried to search where I buy gunpla and now i'm here, join your giveaway HG G40. Ah, about my first gunpla, it's HG Star Build Strike Gundam Plavsky Wing. I bought it, cause i like the wing effect and of course it's based on Strike Gundam.
I started just recently, January 2020, my sister gifted me during Christmas a Gundam Kit which is a RG Gundam Freedom. It was my very first kit.
I watched every build videos here on youtube including here at EA Gunpla before I build my own. I also decided to make videos out of it. It was my very first build video timelapse here in my channel and now I am also inspired by custom builds. Now I'm painting my own Gunpla now(just the details haha). All I remember was seeing the commercials while watching Gundam Wing on Toonami. Saw the kits at Wal-Mart (miss the days we could get them there), and bought a few. I remember one of my first was the HG GP03S. Didn't even know anything about it; I just liked the hidden arm gimmick. Cut the parts out using a swiss army knife because I didn't have any nippers. :/
Firstly, custom paint/build ni lawah brother. Colour scheme betol-betol macam camo jungle warfare. Untuk aku, started ini hobby around 2017. First time pergi Jepon, teros ambik peluang beli gundam. Over time then pelan-pelan beli the tools sebagai paint/thinner/decal etc. Dulu build hancur, now ok la asalkan nubmarks da boleh hilang cleanly da bagus jugak ah, 3 tahun progress!

Lawa.. tapi kan kalo bole request. buat, Dynames pakai bit shield dari Cherubim letak 2 atau 3 biji kt tiap Perisai tu, design mcm sayap burung. GN Vernier tu modify sikit supaya boleh letak GN bit shield mcm Cherubim... Part dada, kalo bole pakai kyrios tapi still nk ada penghadang atau modify supaya bole sorok GN Reactor tu... Part Antenna letak kamera kecik bentuk petak dekat titik tengah belah kiri V(rase pakai sticker Pon oke). Color Custom Dynames tu buat sebijik mcm ni.. lawa siot... Mcm Stealth Recon dh xD

I started this Hobby when I was 13 years old which is form 1. Everyone was talking about SD Gundam Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors in my class back then. Since I actually always suffering from bullying and nobody wanted to be my friend back then, I thought maybe if somehow I have a similar hobby as them I might be able to get along well with them. So in the end, I got SD Guan Ping Gundam as my first kit and I showed it to them. But unfortunately I got bullied more badly cause everyone thought I was a born Loser and tryna be cool. But on the bright side tho I managed to fall in love with gunpla building.
Although being a gunpla builder back then always leads me into trouble such as being laughed and being bullied, I didn't give up and still insists to continue to do what I really like. And in the end the hard works pay off as I managed to won some awards in GBWC and GMKC and proved everyone who bullied me and thought I was weak that they're completely wrong about me.
Now I am 21 years old and still enjoys gunpla building. And hopefully I can get a GBWC world champion spot someday. And prove to everyone that anyone can become strong eventhough they're being treated like weakling if they willing to believe in themselves and give it a try. Especially those who're suffering from bullying right now just like me before.
I started my bobby 6 months ago although I knew 3-4 years ago.I used my lucky money in Tet holiday in order to first my gunpla,HG 1/144 Build Strike full package.Now I want to buy the fourth gundam but I don't enough money to buy it . I started Gunpla in 2018. I was always interested in Gundam from afar and even owned some of the action figures as a kid. I thought plastic models were hard and complicated but after watching a few YT vids on it I realized it was a fun and creative hobby! I invested $100 in supplies/kits and build whenever I have free time now. I’ve built maybe 10 kits and have watched a number of the series. I love Gunpla as it lets me get away from the PC, be creative, and admire these beautiful mech designs.
Semua start sebab saudara pasang MG zaku and dia mintak tolong , masa tu tahun 2009 dan dari situ trus minat tapi tak mampu . But , tahun 2018 member pegi jepun and dia kasi HG barbatos and kali ni mampu beli so now dah ada MG sinanju stein ver.ka , 1/100 gundam bael and target nak beli gundam 00 XN RAISER to the collection
started as my dad is an enthusiast of these but we never really sat down to work together on anything because I was too young to do immaculate builds, now due to the need for staying inside more, i was able to really connect with him as well as have fun making amazing builds! big thanks to gunpla for these interesting creations as well as content creators that really take it to the next level :)

Saya mula kumpul gambar gundam dari kotak2 mainan dan majalah, gunting dan tampal dalam satu buku khas ( buku latihan sekolah ). Itu masa sekolah rendah. Saya baru dapat beli gundam pertama selepas 6 tahun bekerja iaitu gundam HG dynames, selepas follow Siri gundam 00. Dan menambah koleksi seterusnya 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Dulu start dgn member, tapi beli bootleg punya sbb murah. Lepas dah kerja baru ada duit, aku beli RG Destiny. So until today xpernah stop, and build kit ni dah jadi mcm terapi. And yes Gunpla is freedom..

I started this gunpla hobby since I was in middle school. I am very noob because of the limited tools available in my city. To buy gunpla I have to buy it online. My friends also think I'm just wasting my money on a toy. There is no point in hearing their words, I continue this hobby. In high school I met several people who liked gunpla. We share experiences about building gunpla (although some of them quit this hobby) Now I am still pursuing gunpla by myself and social media assistance. Hopefully I can spread this hobby in my city
Aku baru je start hobi gunpla ni sejak pkp ni. Sebelum ni aku memang suka collect lego and figura. Kalau masa kecil pula aku suka collect 3D model skyscrappers semua. Aku memang minat benda-benda pasang gini sejak kecil lagi. But, baru je berjinak dengan gunpla ni and model first aku adalah HGIBO Vidar. Aku harap dapatlah menang ni untuk jadikan second gunpla aku.

I walked into Lit Tak Hobby Store in DePulze Cyberjaya by accident, 3 years. Saw 1 really cute SD kit wielding a Katana, with affordable price for a real beginner...and I bought it. That was Astray Red Frame SDEX. And the rest....was history. Now, I'm an addict.

But, i like gundam its for long time ago, sekitar tahun 2000 ketika Gundam wing dan Gundam destiny tampil di tv, i love very Gundam, its so strong for Mecha.

Aku start hobby Gunpla ni sebab kene racun dengan member2 mase teman diorang gi Gunpla Expo 2017. First kit yang aku beli RG MS-06R-2 Johnny Ridden`s Zaku II. Sampai sekarang aku tak pasang2 lagi.
At first is being a Fan to Gundam through Anime, watched Wing, 00, IBO, UC. then as I got older and finally can earn my own cash I just bought my first Kit which is the MG 1/100 Barbatos, Fell in love with the building and the results of it was superb.

AWESOME WORK! My journey has started recently when i saw my collegue building one.. he gave some part to assemble.. and it felt relaxing... I said omg.... Now i become addictedxD And here we are! My work is not so advanced as yours! Didn't try customs yet but i'm trying to paint some of my gundams, to give them some wear and tear :) Currently have HG Zerachiel, RG 00Qant, MG Tallgeese, full mechanic Bael, and now working on MG Heavyarms:) Wanted some HG to experiment with Battle damage, and due to my work is ending in 2 month, i cannot buy new stuff(I could but my wife would kill me!) as they are expensive due to import in my country. I am dreaming about something from Perfect Grade, and when i get the new job this is probably first thing im gonna buy!!! (probably will need 2-3 months to gather cash but.. let the dream come true!) I got my first gunpla for Christmas in 2001, I think (That's a guess), when G Wing was still airing on Cartoon Network. HG Gundam Heavyarms Custom (from EW). I specifically asked for that kit because I had just watched EW and Hevyarms was my favorite. Back then, Walmart and Toys'r'us were carrying gunpla kits, from G Wing especially. I built a few more in the next few years, but it didn't become a hobby until I started going to anime conventions in about 2008. There wasn't one particular kit or moment where I fell in love, just every kit I built made me appreciate it more. Since then I've built over 100 models in just about every size and grade (except PG, too expensive even when I had money).
Back in 2018 Before i was into Gunpla, i was a lego MOCist that loved the show IBO.
While trying to find ideas on what i should build next, i stumbled on a gunpla Video, which was a speed build Trancient Glacier from GUNDAM BD..
I was a little skeptical about the build process thinking that it wasnt my sort of hobby, until August 2018 i bought the HG 1/144 Barbatos 1st and 4th form, i was instantly hooked into gunpla, so far ive really enjoyed my expierence with gunpla..
I don't know Why the HG Dynames doesn't have Holster in the Kit. Pls Bandai, Add the Holsters if you're gonna make a RG of it.

I started this hobby last 2014 after I graduated college because I'm gundam fan since I saw Gundam Wing on television. Since then I have 18 finish build kits and many still on the box. My favorite kit is the MG RX-93 Nu Gundam Ver. Ka and I'm big fan of Amuro Ray suits which is my conquest to collect every MG/ 1/100 version bandai kits which I already have 3. Thank You
I started this hobby about 5-6 years ago, on early year in college. My first kit was RG Mark II Titans version because at the time I don't like HG line, and MG is too expensive for me.
I built it using only with cutter. Fortunately, there's only few bad nubmarks and mainly of them very well hidden. And then I don't buy anything because I was very busy with my college activity.
Finally, last year I can fully enjoying this hobby. Well equipped, I started build HG Loheng-Rinko, SDCS Ground Gundam, MG Mark II AEUG 2.0, and last MG Granddaddy 2.0 from 2 weeks ago. For now I want to build more, enjoy more this hobby and maybe I will try to do repaint or custom build.
My first gunpla is FG strike gundam when I was 11. 10 years later I saw 10 year old boy got HG Astray Red frame and I got envy so I buy my secord gunpla HG Exia and HG 00 Raiser for my 21st Birthday because of Setsuna F. Seiei's "Ore wa GUNDAM"
Since I was little I liked everything you have to put together piece by piece and I had already put together gunplas without knowing it, from 2015 I officially became a Gumpla Builder because when I was older I already had a greater ability to understand this hobby correctly from the engineering point of view of each model, and that is what I like the most, that each design is different and the truth is something great to be able to say look what I put together. and not just buy it already assembled.

My first model kit was a set of orcs from Warhammer 40k back in 2012, but my introduction to Gunpla was only in 2018, when my elder brother, who had built several master grade kits, got me the HGUC Tristan for Christmas that year. I then went and bought the RG Red Frame, Ver Ka FA-87 and the Rouge Strike Master Grade. Now that I'm out of High School, I have been able to put more time into the hobby, and I couldn't be happier.
Started building gunpla way back when I was a kid (maybe 1998?) Build a couple of those no grade 1/144 gundam wing kits (shenlong and tallgese? I think I also had a wing zero at the time.) Got back into this hobby in 2014, when my friend gifted me with a HG 00 raiser designers colors version. Since then, my collection has grown to include mostly RG kits, as well as an MG Sazabi and Nu Gundam!

Well... surprisingly...it start when I in 8 years old,that when my father bought something...(I don't remember but it gunpla I'm sure,I think it tallgesse..🤣🤣),then I approach my father,asking him what is it,he told that it a gunpla..then...I super excited and build along with my father...well,it been a while that my father last build gunpla 😭,but the gunpla spirit still burn inside me,I'm tried to bought one to be my first gunpla ever,then when I was 11,I managed to buy MG V1,(old kit thought)the first gunpla n MG ever!!,I build it without a proper tool,that why it look ugly...then when I was 15,I bought hg 00 Raiser(plus, GN sword III),I build it but it the same case with MG V1,it look bad but better...next 3 years,I finished exam..my relative give me hg Hi nu gundam, and rg nu gundam (the first rg kit ever!!🤣🤣)I managed to finished my hi nu gundam in one month during mco..n I will build rg nu gundam next,well I don't have any granddaddy model kit,if I win and get g40,then it will be the first granddaddy model kit for me..that all that I can share...tq for read this comment 🥰🥰
This hobby started after watching Iron Blooded Orphans. I bought Barbatos Lupus as my first gunpla. After that i started watching other gundam animes like Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Build Fighters, Build Fighters Try and now watching Gundam Seed.
