From the look on your face it was clear that you went straight back in time when you sprayed the Drakkar once again after 27 years, and you took us right back there with you. It's moments like these that make the world seem so much more like a nice place to be.

I did actually, right back to 1994, accompanying a family friend as her date for her year 12 formal (senior prom), she was taller than me, I was wearing a suit that was too big for me, and we were posing for a photo in our lounge room and I was reeking of Drakkar Noir. That's where I went lol

I just bought this. You’re right this is one of those scents that you smell frequently but never knew what it was. It’s very enjoyable. The moment I smelled it it reminded me of my grandfather, not in an old way but a classy way.

I'm so glad you made this video. Drakkar is one fragrance I never purchased for myself, but one of my best friends, back in the day, bathed in it. Today, I just purchased a bottle like yours. I believe it will transport me back to 1989 and I might just stay there:) Thanks for another enjoyable video.

It was my first cologne back in the mid 80's. I had not used it since the late 80's actually. I had gathered a small collection of colognes during my 50th birthday and felt like something was missing. Then I remembered Drakkar Noir. So I just sent for some and got it today. The fragrance has not changed since then. It has become more subtle in my estimation, but it is still manly. It smells barber shopy in a good way (If smells like a French version of Old Spice). It doesn't smack you in the face like it used to back then. It just slightly smacks you in the face playfully with silk gloves. So I sent for more! To me, it is nostalgia in a bottle!

right, when the lemonish smell disappears, about 20 minutes later or so, it turns into something else. I don't know what it reminds me of, but it does remind me of something... it smells fantastic. like sweet, clean, fresh, orientalish, green, (I think its lavender, sandalwood, and still a bit fir or pine tree needles but, I am not sure) women love it on males. its not grandpa-ish and also not for teens.

Drakkar Noir was my sh!t in middle school/high school 90-94. It was my #1, essentially only. I had Jovan musk as well I’d wear in private haha.
I’ve recently ordered a 50ml bottle of Drakkar noir because I haven’t smelled it in 20+ years. I’m really looking forward to it and that nostalgia. I remember just loving how it smelled though.
I too wonder why this fragrance isn’t spoken about more today in the fragrance echelon, likely because it isn’t new, but for younger people, they could certainly stand out from the crowd and what everyone else is wearing currently by introducing this into their fragrance lineup if it’s anything compared to what I remember.
I’m really curious about Drakkar Intense as welll.
    Best wishes

My first bought fragrance back in the day was DOLCE & GABBANA POUR HOMME before the reformulation and I found myself smelled so good, masculine, modern and sexy. People used to ask me what I was wearing. Then I didn’t cheat on that one and didn’t buy any other fragrances but it took me a while to finish the first bottle. Then later on, I found that different distributer took over it, watered it down and reformulated. It became very weak and wasn’t impressed at all. I almost felt like I was cheated on...💔💔💔😢😢😢 So I never purchased the 2nd bottle anymore. But other fragrances I actually had prior to DOLCE & GABBANA were, 1) Salvatore Dali (the weird looking bottle, all black with a nose and lips 👃🏽👄) which it was given to me and I hated it. Tried to like it but didn’t succeed. 2) Oh I remember actually I might have bought it? can’t remember it was just so long ago, I was still teen ager but it was a splash bottle of “Enrico Caveri Pour Homme” and it was so good!! I’m still looking for this one now. 👀👀 By the way, going back to DOLCE & GABBANA POUR HOMME, much much later going forward from my 1st bottle and my heart break of finding the cheating “reformulation”, 🤣😂 I discovered that they had released the stronger version of POUR HOMME which is “INTENSO” and it was an instant flash back for me to how the original POUR HOMME used to smell and fell in love 😍 again!! Yay!! 🙌🏽🥳 So I was fortunate enough to be working in the fragrance sales industry by then and I had to take an advantage to have this “INTENSO” among many other fragrances (for free!!). Only thing is although it says “INTENSO” we can’t expect this to be like “Extrait de Parfum” performance. No, not at all. It’s much better than reformulated newer generation POUR HOMME so to make the INTENSO stay “intense”, I make sure spray myself intensely. 💪🏽💪🏽👍🏽👍🏽✨ Guy Laroche Drakar Noir, I had never got into it to be honest not because I didn’t like it but I was already in a big ocean 🌊 of fragrance journey especially started working in the fragrance industry, I had so many fish to catch and I did, so although I saw many “customers” were still buying it (Drakar Noir) in early 2000, I also saw less and less people started to pay attention to that one because there were bigger and bigger Tsunamis 🌊 of new fragrance launches every month and every year. Not like in the 80’s and 90’s, companies weren’t releasing new ones like cow 🐄 poops💩. 🤣😂 (tons) Anyway, sorry for the long blubber. Thanks for talking about Drakar Noir, I recently actually purchased Lomani Pour Homme just because I saw another fragrance reviewer talking about it and he also mentioned that it’s similar to Drakar Noir and it was dirty cheap...but I should have bought Drakar Noir instead... I don’t dislike Lomani but it didn’t excite me either...🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe I will buy it when my Lomani is gone. I always enjoy your content because you do differently and you keep yourself authentic and I like it. I also like the way you speak, it’s quite soothing to me so sometimes I fall asleep 😴 but not because you are boring so not to worry, it’s just honestly I feel very relaxed listening to you....🤣😂 Have a wonderful day! 🙋🏻‍♂️🤗☀️

A way better than AXE, dated fragrance that is casual wear and not much of a compliment getter I wouldn't think anymore. English Leather is more rare and would probably be more of a rare fragrance that would probably get some compliments maybe, where this would be just casual everyday wear. Drakkar is pleasant smelling but nothing that would really attract the ladies anymore or get their attention imo. Guys today can go with Davidoff's Cool Water, Azzarro's Most Wanted By Night, Dunhill Icon Racing, and many others which imo that are pure lady attention getters that are much more worth spending the extra $15-$20 on imo than Drakkar. Drakkar imo is just for guys who liked it way back when and just want to revisit their old days.

Sadly reformulated, smells like rusty water and it's gone in less than a hour, what a shame. Drakkar back in the day was one of the best colognes of all time, real powerhouse.

I wore this scent when I was 10 years old all the way to 16 years old. So I'd say yes. It's not a sweet scent, it's more fresh and soapy. In australia a 50ml bottle is around $20 so it's pretty cheap too.
