    I just purchased the program! I’ll be in my new home next month and I’ll finally have the space to perform farmers carries; so great timing. Your programs (the first of which I bought years ago) have transformed my approach to working out and life.
    Thank you. Thank you for the strength, and thank you for helping me to remove laziness from my day to day routine.

      What equipment will you use for farmer Carries?

    • @dannyh73
      @dannyh73 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ClassicPhysique27 I have farmer carry implements, I believe they’re from Vulcan Strength but I’m not positive. A couple years ago, when I bought my first program, I had the ability to do farmer carries so for the most part I did them. At the time my place had a connected garage, etc., but even then I hated it because people in the surrounding town homes could see me, and despite my size, I’m a modest guy. Now I have my own home, it’s showtime!

    Just bought the program; really looking forward to it. Expecting it to be the most brutal Alsruhe program yet as I know how draining carries can be on their own, much more so paired with squats, deadlifts, etc every time out. Some great/funny lines as I read through… my favorite so far highlighting the importance of sprints… “complete xx 200m sprints in 10 minutes. If no space to run, do a 7 minute wall sit and use that time to think about a good place to run.” No thanks on a 7 minute wall sit, I’ll find some place to run lol.

    Just purchased the program! In retrospect looking back at my training over the last couple of years, it has been consistently inconsistent, and neglected foundational aspects like grip strength that really hampered my progress with the main lifts. Feel like this will help me build the foundation most lifters neglect when starting off! Thanks for the awesome content Brian, appreciate it!

    Love it Brian as always! I currently train full body 3x per week and finish each day with a circuit built around either sandbag carries, prowler pushes or farmers walks as conditioning. I can testify that these awkward locomotion exercises improve absolutely EVERYTHING. In this program, are you building up to a single carry of the stated distance, doing multiple carries on the clock, or putting the carry in your giant set format? Interested how you progress that over time, but guess I'll have to spend the dollar to find out!

My grip is strong, I'm more confident loading sandbags, I hit a PR for 315 each hand on farmers and I'm just about halfway done with the program. Best of all, my conditioning has improved a ton. Just bought the program! Super excited to use it to help me train for rugby next semester. 1 question though: I only have access to a gym on school campus with no sandbags. I plan on making them myself, but I saw sometimes they are used in the middle of a giant set. My initial plan was to do the sandbag phase of each workout in a park right next to my gym and then go finish the rest inside but after seeing that I would have to use the sandbags and a barbell in the same giant set (ex. 3 sandbag over shoulder to 2 front squats), I am now unsure because that would entail bringing a 250lb sandbag into a gym and hauling it around which I do not think is allowed. Would you recommend altering the program a bit so all the sandbag training is done outside the gym, or should I use something else in place of the sandbag, or is there another solution you would have in mind?
    Thanks! Btw is there somewhere we can donate to?

    I bet some of the top strongmen could get near a 630 farmers carry. You don’t think So? Just cuz the grip strength fail?
    Similar to a trap deadlift and I’m sure they can easily trap deadlift 1200 pounds. So just walking with it would be the issue ?

    Just bought the ebook. A question for those of us marching in place in tiny spaces: how many paces or what time to equate to a foot/yard of carry?
    I see marching in place for time in the program, but I mean for those of us who need to completely replace the travel distances. I'm tempted to think 1 knee-high pace on the spot = 1 yard = 3 feet? But maybe loaded up it'd be just a foot?
    (That's all approximate I only have a rough idea what a foot/yard looks like - a bit less than a meter.)

    • @BrianAlsruheOfficial
      @BrianAlsruheOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just walk the distances and count your steps. Then do the same thing under weight. Or you can use a timing method where it’s 20 to 30 seconds for heavy, 30 to 40 for medium and 40 to 50 for light.
      You take smaller steps when carrying heavier things so there is no way you are covering one yard with one step with 600lbs in your hands

    Instant regret of this purchase. Listen, I am sure this program is awesome. It will work for some people, but not for me. I am not saying the program is bad, there not such thing as a bad program, but after reading it became evident very quickly that it is not the right fit for me from a logistic stand point. Simply put, they are way to many exercises, which realistically, I would not be able to accomplish in my local gym at 5PM in the afternoon. Too many people too little space and I am not talking about the carrying space either (Box Jumping followed by squatting). Additionally, while I am not new to lifting, I am not a pro either. And they are several exercises or at least the names of these exercises that I am not familiar with much less know how to complete with the correct form. It would be nice if there were more instructions about listed exercises. If, however, you are a seasoned Vet with several years of lifting with access to a hard core gym than this program would be the right fit for you. If however you are just a JAG (Just a Guy or Gal) with access to your local "......"Fitness, then this program MAY not be the right fit for you right now. Having said this, I have purchased it and will save it on the good ole thump drive until the time it is right for me.

      Dude, I am happy to refund you or give you a different program but why didn’t you watch the video about this where it showed you sample workouts of the days you would be doing?

    • @TechNeophytes
      @TechNeophytes ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrianAlsruheOfficial Thank you for responding. And while I appreciate the offer, I purchased the program and I will own it and will make use of it later. I have watched a great many of your videos and I like them all. You do great work! An more likely than not I have already seen the video you are referring too. I simply need to re watch it. But that was my secondary concern. My primary regret is that with my gym, life routine and time makes this program not right for me right now. I usually work out for an hour. They are many days, I can give it 75 mins or even 90 mins but in my gym it will take 90 + on daily basis if I undertake this program at 5PM in the afternoon. And perhaps that is my biggest regret, I simply cannot realistically start the program due to my gym and logistics. Perhaps I will have to find a new gym and that will solve everything.
      Kind Regards,

    I have a quick question about sandbags. I’m planning on buying some, but the ones that Cerberus had are the one that you tie at the top. Would these be good for the carry project? Only reason I ask is because I’m afraid they would burst open since they are not like the zippered ones with the Velcro, and since you gotta throw them over your shoulder. Any help is always greatly appreciated. Take care.
