This boss is the worst so far. There is a bug when you're dodging his attacks and moving around; he eventually runs very fast from the fight to return to his original path. When he's running, its's impossible to catch up with him for a few seconds (even with the teleporting) and get him to reengage the fight, and then he fully heals immediately. By his time, the night may easily be ending, and you'll end up continuing the fight in daylight. Another bug randomly (without dying) cancels the blood tracking (until you return to your blood altar and reactivate it), so I wasted an entire blood moon night running around searching for him. Super frustrating.
Yeh that's right, it's called a tether, or a leash. With these roaming bloods they tether to the point you aggroed them and return if they move too far
we dont have a tier-2 chaos point (and thus no chaos double dash) at level 41.
I think the annoying part is that he usually drag you into other patrolling groups (especially the fire archer =-=)

it's not a bug, it's to avoid player luring bosses into other bosses

How the hell do you double dash. That would make the fight so much easier
