Jim Lange and Dick Clark such wonderful hosts and just the best in their field. Enjoyed watching them over the years on TV. Such handsome men too. RIP, Jim Lange RIP, Dick Clark.
I remember seeing Debbie Dancing on American Bandstand. I got married in my Senior Year September 2nd 1973 when my Navy Hubbie came home the tail end of the Vietnam War era on a 21 leave. I remember every Saturday seeing Debbie Dancing on American Bandstand up to 1976...our little girl ❤loved❤dancing with Debbie & her Dance Partner alot...shed shake her "Booty"; now shes 48 & Im 69. Sadly my High School Sweetheart Husband passed away on our 39th Wedding Anniversary September 2nd 2012 (1973); to stage 4 Colon Cancer. My Sisters name is Debbie too. Those were the Days everyone...the "Far Out" Days!
Thank you from a Texas Lady who lived in. Beautiful Bastrop for 7 years. Also love love Duck Clark ❤. He picked the right Guy!!. Loved that show was played to the end to see them all throw a 💋 kiss. Really loved this one. ✌
A trip to Peru AND a Hodaka! I had a Hodaka Super Rat, raced it in Mattawa, WA in 1973. I didn't get a cute date, though. I did take a trip to Brazil in 2018. Hurrah for me!
Interestingly, when I first saw the original $10,000 Pyramid not long after its debut I thought Johnny Jacobs was the show's announcer. This was before I found out it was based in New York.
1:58--The only time I recall the batchelors' wall being turned again because the questioner stepped too far--or not far enough--on stage when being introduced. Apparently, someone off camera signaled the woman to move a step or two so she couldn't see the guys.
@@builttrainer More likely it's the Jim Kerr who in 1974 began a long run on radio in New York first on WPLJ-FM (RIP) and then WNEW-FM (RIP) and is still on in New York on WAXQ-FM (104.3).

In its early years,GSN used to air the Chuck Barris shows like "Dating Game","Newlywed Game" & "The Gong Show".

Your daddy's a hunter. Loved it. Awesome answer.

Dang, the second couple got a trip to Peru. Usually they just send the couple to Vegas.

Clark set her up with a “date” with a vulture!!!
Curious if any contestants ever get married??? 🤔🤔
They are not. Gale is one of my friends step Grandma.
I wonder if her parents were okay with the date to Lima. Lol
In those days, a chaperone always accompanied the couple to their destinations.
The third bachelor in Dick's segment is a young Scottish man named Jim Kerr. I think that's the lead singer of Simple Minds!
Good eye, but I'm not sure that's him. That Jim Kerr was born in 1959. If this is a 1973 ep, that'd have made him 14...

I NEVER BEEN TO SPAIN
Debbie's partner in American Bandstand was Louie Navoa.
I ❤loved her & Louie!
the time is way too short for her to get any real image.. and time is even wasted by the saying hello....
3.59 what´s he "singing"?
