If you want to see how to light up a crystal lamp... check out DolfinMagikPro's channel! He made an awesome wired version of the lamp idea! th-cam.com/video/10u0m7uzPsA/w-d-xo.html
I think the double lamp should sit on one of the shelves. If you have a small piece of crystal you could used it as an inkwell just by sticking a small feather on it to represent a quill. This was a great project, thank you for sharing and the instructions, also thanks to Paula for her wonderful patterns.👏👏👏👍👍
The cardboard is definitely my favorite!! I’m new to minis and I don’t have much money right now. I’m so glad to be learning how to make beauty from trash! Please keep up this series!!!
@@BentleyHouseMinis me too. I love to recycle and upcycle items that one would put in the trash and this house idea is just amazing to me. Hope there will be new house idea and furniture in the future. Blessings 😇🤗
I have been binge watching your videos since finding you a couple days ago! Lol I can’t get enough! Love your channel! I have a real good toys farmhouse I started over 20 years ago and never actually got past painting the main facade pieces...I was scared to put it together but have everything for it. I wanted my dad to build me one so badly as a child and he never would so when I was a teenager I got one for myself to do. I made all kinds of furniture to put in it and had subscriptions to the miniature magazines. I’ve loved miniatures forever and finding your channel makes me want to get my house out and DO THIS THANG with my now teenage daughter! Thank you for your videos and inspiration! Long comment but had to let you know you put a fire back in me ❤️
Yes you can totally do it! I am putting together a dollhouse from scratch in my live streams if you want someone to build along with :) Look for the 'Fairfield' playlist ;)
I have only just started my miniature journey and live your channel so much. I just finished my FIRST miniature 1:12 project that includes this desk. Thank you so much! ❤
And Wow!!, you never stop of amazing me, your house is soooo profesional and have such an awesome quality, thank you for sharing your talent with us. And I agree with you on the reference of making more things out of recycle materials, first they are cheaper, easy to find, anyone can have their own doll house, no excuses here. Thank you Ara.
Ara you are so talented. I got absolutely addicted to the cardboard house last march when you started posting them. The crystal lamps are gorgeous. A crystal chandelier would look gorgeous in that house. Thanks for your awesome videos something to look forward to in the doom and gloom of lockdown in the UK
Hi Ara, I'm glad we're still working with cardboard. Cardboard makes this project accessable and do-able for everybody. That's great. Thanks for the inspiration dear friend. 😘
Im so jealous of that bag of crystals! 😍 they're so pretty and I love the lamps you made of them I would die to see a chandler with some jewlary chain with those crystals!!
You made me laugh out loud Ara! Brown! You KNOW we all said it with you! I love love love this project and can't wait to start my second cardboard house (cardboard barn for my nephew). Thanks again!!!
Amazing project I love the curved desk and unique lamps. A trick I use from cake decorating is to put joint compound into a baggie, cut tiny angle in the corner and pipe the compound into corrugated holes and cardboard edges. It works great on small projects.
I absolutely love it, and the fabric you picked for the stool. Thank you so much for the pattern. Always makes my day to see you have a video up. Thank you!
You can get pre-wired pico LEDs from ebay and those would totally be able to be hot glued or UV resin'ed onto the side of the crystal, covered in your paper brackets, then hidden in a hollow lollipop stick tube going down into the base where you can get a holder for a 2023 3volt battery and build a nice looking base around that. I really like this idea I may have to try it myself. Thanks for the video, Ara!
I realy love the idea of hawe those candelabre like creations with crystals instead of candles, i realy want something similar in full scale for my full scale home!
Ara, that desk is absolutely adorable! The crystal lamps are amazing! As far as what to do with the rest of the crystals...Do you maybe need a chandelier anywhere? Or could you use any scrying pieces for the Adams Family house? Or for the Beetlejuice house? Or what about some collected pieces (maybe with some maritime purpose ) for the Captain's Quarters? Have fun! And stay safe!
Oh a chandelier would be so fun to try and make! I enjoyed the little lamps so much I may just have to try it! I will def keep my eyes open for ways to use them!
Bonjour ! Bonjour ! Tu m'as fais rire avec ta fausse hésitation pour la couleur brune ! 😂😂Encore pleins de trucs dans ce vidéo qui m'apprendrent tellement ! Merci chère ! 😍
What an awesome idea to make the crystals into tiny lamps! I hope you'll figure out a way to make one that lights up with LEDs. It would look so cool! The crystals look right at home on the beautiful new desk. Looking forwards to seeing what other items will be added there in the future! :)
Incredible!! I get really inspired by how you do these. I m not a miniature artist, but man o man, do I get inspired to become one, or use the techniques in my own work
I have been watching these videos and I am just in awe of you and your creativity. It has me very interested in making a cardboard house for my daughter to be able to play with but also one that I can just put on display for myself. I plan to use a lot of your advice from these videos to make items for the house because you are AMAZING! lol
When I use cardboard to make things, I usually cover the edges with card stock. I cut and trim recipe cards to cover the edge and glue in place. Helps immensely when you want a smooth finish. Never underestimate the value of cardstock, recipe cards or cheap dollar store poster board!
Ara, I have never made any minis but have been making your mini cardboard house and furniture. It has been so much fun and I love the idea of using recycled materials. Also, if I mess it up, I am not out much other than my time. I have made the couch, chairs, coffee table, clock (without shelves), bookcase, bed, vanity and now I am printing off the desk and stool. I feel like I get better with each piece I make. I have the floors and the side walls for the house done but now have to find boxes for the back wall, supports and the rest. So much fun.
Oh my gosh those crystal lamps are soo lovely. Perfect for the fairy house. Every time I watch a video of yours I immediately think ohh I totally have to make that. Thank You for sharing all your patterns. No contact hug 💚💜
I love the fact that you put your outtakes and silliness at the end! 😊 You always make me smile! God bless you Ara! You are a joy. I don’t even make miniatures but your videos are so interesting and relaxing and real. And you have a lovely voice. ☺️🙏💖💕
I love it! Miss Periwinkle is loving those lamps and her new desk. I can imagine her sitting on the stool and slightly bouncing on it, enjoying how soft and fluffy the stuffing is. LOL I'm going to give the cardboard a whirl to add rooms to my plastic dollhouse mansion makeover. I've got my fingers and toes crossed.
Definitely! Cardboard has opened a whole new world of creating I think... the way it can bend over foamboard and wood makes it such a creative option! Can't wait to see what you make!
When this video started, I was thinking how cute your hair looked. I didn't realize until the end, how much trouble it had given you. I must tell you I am a HUGE believer in the power and beauty of crystals. Thirty five years ago, my husband and I spent our honeymoon in Arkansas, hunting and buying crystals. You can imagine how much I love these beautiful little treasures you created out of those tiny crystals. I hope you figure out a way to lite um up! As usual, I can't wait to see what's next.
So good! I love that you put in the alternative to crystals making one out of hot glue. I have so many crystals we got at the crystal mine here in AR. Looking forward to trying these little lamps. Great idea! The desk also turned out so cute!
@@BentleyHouseMinis will do. May be a while. I haven't actually started my little room yet lol. Just brainstorming ideas. My friend Lucia has been working on hers watching your videos and she's been inspiring me too.
Omg, your great. I love these cardboard shows. They have brought such Joy to my life and my projects. I think the desk would look adorable if you made a desk blotter . Maybe one that would match the upholstery on the stool? It would certainly brighten it up this is a beautiful project
hi Bentley a good trick to make a glue gun stick crystal clearer is to boil some water and dip the shaped gg stick into the cup of hot water for a few seconds 3-5 times. Have just found ur channel, love the detailing, binge watching ur clips. Keep being awesome and shine on you crazy diamond.
Yay! I love it when you work on this house! Oh, man those lamps are SO cool looking! And honestly a fun way to display little crystals and rocks.
