Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 cup (8oz) sugar
3 tablespoons (1.5 oz) molasses
1 egg
(optional) 2 tsp honey
2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Hi lovlies ♡ I’m so excited to be starting an ASMR cooking series! Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions. Btw if it isn't already, I suggest double checking your quality settings are at their highest either 1080p or 2160p. I uploaded the same video but without talking, focused on the sounds, just before this video if you want to check that one out as well. Let me know if you try any of the recipes I post! Enjoy! :)

When you were scooping the pre-baked cookies onto the sheet, I thought they were way too big, but they actually turned out to be quite nice after they were baked! Great job, and I will probably be trying this recipe. Also, I make my own dark brown sugar as well, and you are correct, it's much better than the store brand!
If regular brown sugar isn't quite what you want, try muscovado sugar. It's basically what you're making, but with the natural molasses still in the sugar instead of you needing to add it back in.
ASMR cooking is so difficult to film and make. Thank you for taking this time! Especially so for a series!

Great video, great recipe. I made them. It was the first time I’ve made brown sugar before. I resisted my normal tendency to make a lot of alterations. I made only one small addition. These are amazing cookies.

So I made the cookies last night! I mean now that I know you can make your own brown sugar. Huge props to Ashley for not letting on that molasses stink! My kids ran out of the kitchen! 😂. And now it makes sense why she said that delicious batter probably won’t taste good. BUT totally worth it. I trust Ashley and these cookies are great!! I’ll make them again 💯
