To condemn all of the people in front of these DJs for being from a younger generation, and also assuming that the majority of them do not know anything about this piece of music, is to basically childish, uninformed and also cruel….and really quite irrelevant. Jamie Principle made the original track, sampled the familiar loop. and sung on the song, Frankie Knuckles put Candi Staton over the top of the original ( calling it You Got The Love) and had Trax records release the original through Marshall Jefferson and the owner of Trax. Check out the youtube documentary Pump up the Volume: A History Of House Music. tThis version was done by Jamie Principle (The singer and original Artist) Frankie Knuckles and his Engineer Producer Eric Kupper I believe aka Director's Cut, Massive Tune. Sounds like Solomon put his own Anti Racism message over the top at the end, which makes the moment exclusive to him
