I have a set of these boots for four years now. Used it in serious warm weather but also several days of continuous rain. Zero issues. Would buy them again.
100% agree ... used for RTW travel in high temps up to 48C .... never felt that they are hot. great water proof. confortable. no sign of wear with over 80000km of riding - alot off road
I have these boots and I love them, properly sturdy and protective while still being comfortable to walk in all day. Only down side with regards to safety is the sideways crush protection isn't there at the ankle. If the bike lands on you on the foot cups then you'll be fine, but any higher and that part may have some trouble. That said, you're entirely protected from twisting injuries in the ankle and there is reinforcement in that you can't bend the boot down on its self sideways. Fantastic boot on road especially for UK weather, and also plenty good for some soft roading. Of course if you're going off road properly you'll want that crush protection for when the bike inevitably falls on you.
I got a pair as did my friend. They didn't even survive a month. My friends toe box collapsed from a stray stone kicked out by the front wheel... mine wore out heavily in that time. They did work nicely as a winter road boot thought but I would not go near them for off road again.
Has anyone gotten these to do some street riding? I absolutely hate how street style motorcycle boots look but i want something with a bit more ankle protection than the reinforced combat boots, these have the style I am looking for for riding around on cafe racers/scramblers.
I‘ve had this boot for a couple of years and have to say I‘m not really happy with it. The protection is quite far from a motocross boot, but as soon as you walk they are very squeaky. I‘ve switched to proper motocross boots for that reason. If you want a waterproof off-road boot I would go for something with proper protection like the alpinestars Tech 7 Drystar or even the Gaerne SG 22 GoreTex. The concept might be good but for real off-road they‘re to weak.
Its funny how protection is at the lower end of importance with ADV boots. Anyone who has ever damaged a foot or ankle would beg to differ. I had some SIDI discovery boots, they were like leather slippers. Same as 1970's MX boots. The foot and ankle are what braces the boot. The leather gets softer quickly and they flop every which way. But do cost a lot of money.
I have seen people say you can but I honestly don't see how. One new feature I didn't mention is how easily the visor can be taken off. This is usually a faff on most ADV helmets, but with this it's so easy you may as well just stop and switch it out. - Andrew
No! You go talk to Sidi and tell them that ALL OF US need a proper adventure all around off-road boot.. Tell them to put this sole in the crossfire 3 and a goretex membrane! And that’s it! Perfection itself! Because these ones you’re reviewing won’t protect you when your leg does a different kind of movement of when your bike falls in your leg.. We have seen way to many broken leg’s and ankles and we don’t need ANYONE ELSE telling people that this is what they need to buy to go on an adventure dude.. Be responsible and star reviewing proper protection boots. There’s a bunch of them out there, cheers!
If you want a complete fusion of Enduro and Adventure in a boot you'll need the Rev'it boots I mention in the video. It's not easy to make a boot that does everything you are asking for. Maximum protection and all day comfort. I'm not claiming these will protect you in all off road situations, but they are a step up from most 'adventure' boots, which, as I say, will do little to protect your foot / leg /ankle for proper off roading. It depends on your idea of Adventure - this boot will be enough for some people. Personally, I'll still be wearing Rev'it Expedition boots in the wet months or Leatt 4.5 boots in the hot months because I ride TET / rally / Baja races on a heavy bike so I'll sacrifice some of the lightweight / comfort factors. - Andrew
Its simple, dont buy any boot that has ADV in it's name. They arent the boots for protection, they are meant to be good to walk in and look bad ass. Try some Tech-7's. They can be had with a traction sole, they are full on dirtbike boots.
@@bradsanders6954 Indeed brother! I know those boots! They’re good, but still not completely stiff as it should be. It pisses me off that we’re in 2024 and no brand it’s doing things right, nobody have made the right boot for true off-roading you know? For example, the Sidi crossfires 3 are amazing, it’s already a breathable version. Why the hell they don’t make a goretex version of those?? With a proper off-road sole! Not the bullshit motocross sole! It’s very frustrating and pathetic that nobody has come with this proper solution..
@@AdventureRiderMotoThanks Andrew! Good choice off boots! But trust me, if there’s a goretex version of the Sidi crossfire 3 with a proper off-road sole, you wouldn’t be using those expensive revit boots. They’re good! I had pair of those, but for overall multipurpose on and off-road use they’re not enough. They’re not going to protect you on difficult situations..
These are "comfort" boots. If you want to actually protect your foot and ankle, you'll have to be wearing actual dirtbike/MX boots. These hiking boot soles with all the tread? If you have to stick a foot out while moving, that traction sole will grab and your knee can be blown. Ask how I know this. Yes you can walk in these flexy boots, riding is different than walking.
Depends what and where you're riding. If you're paddling your way down a muddy lane in the UK then you'd want the grip. If you're charging along on a rally or something then as you say, you wouldn't. - Andrew

Great boot worn in over 32 degree weather and cold weather . Fully waterproof no leaking

Interesting, was this the first version or the Adventure 2 out of interest? - Andrew
@@AdventureRiderMoto 2022 boot. Not sure but think it was already the 2
Is there any different materials between black and brown color? Because sidi website sell them in a different price

I still miss my perfectly broken in Gen 1 adv boots. I sold them to buy the Klim's Adventure GTX boots. 😢

Abo done as now a wannabee adv rider. Errrr i do find Sidi very narrow in the footbed, perhaps just me.

It is a spiffing boot.
after 1 year the plastic strap will break !
