Seeing some of you all blaming others for Sonny's behavior is par for the course. It's not his direct fault that Kristina got abused, but she saw verbal abuse from him towards his women. It has an effect.
Do you not realize that this is about the psychological aspect of the situation of how Sonny is one of the contributing factors as to why Kristina chose to stay with Kiefer. Sonny had nothing to do with Kiefer hitting Kristina because that action was done by Kiefer. Sonny being involved in this is about why Kristina chose to stay with Kiefer despite the abuse.
The fact of this matter was that Alexis tried to shield her daughter from everything which was such a poor decision.....she even tried to shield her from her father....which didn't work anyway......Kristina grew up sheltered and extremely spoiled.....and as per usual everything is Sonny's fault.... then if that's the case then why didn't these people stay away from him....period.....and that therapist was an ass.....know half decent therapist blames clients for their issues.
Her therapist was wrong to say the abuse was sonny’s fault. As a therapist she should have know that sonny was bipolar. He was have mood swing he is on meds. Her mother Alexis is a head case and So is Kristina and Sam. And the fact that Alexis had more influence over her because she had primary custody had sonny out of Kristina life most of it , so why wasn’t the therapist hitting on Alexis mommy issues. Why they blame everything on sonny. The Cassadines are nut jobs.
Another thing....Johnny was self-righteous.....he knew full well that his mother was the spawn of Satan....but he continually made excuses for her knowing that she did alot of nasty things.....Sonny treated claudia just how she deserved because honestly she played him like a fiddle....and she ended up coming out of it like an angel.....even in death.....and Kristina was a fool because she bought into his crap.
Sonny just does not get that emotional abuse is just as damaging as physical abuse. He might not lay his hands on women, but he abuses them all the same. Of course, everyone on this show is abusive to each other in many different ways, so he's in pretty bad company anyway.
Actually emotional abuse is far more devastating than physical abuse but no one deserves either types of abusive relationships. It's no wonder why Kristina is so afraid of her father because of the temper tantrums he has.
What really angers me about soap operas is how people like Sonny are treated like the good guys. Alexis & Carly would keep their children as far away from Sonny as possible, if the show was realistic. Sonny is a monster.

I disagree with Kristina.....she was just making excuses and taking everyone's side and story except her dad.

Sonny is verbly abusive that doesn't mean he's at fault. DV relationships happen woth women that have that as well.
If Alexis wasn't such a jerk about Sonny being in Kristina this wouldn't have happened. Alexis is at fault here not sonny
