The Labrador Retriever, often abbreviated to Labrador, is a breed of retriever dog that was developed from imported Canadian fishing dogs. Labs descend from the Newfoundland Dog and the St. John’s Water Dog in Newfoundland, Canada. The Labrador Retriever was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1917 and thereafter rose slowly but steadily in popularity due to its incredible versatility, obedience, and rugged good looks. It is now considered the world’s most popular breed.
Hi sweet pups. So cute and chonky already. How many more litters for Rosie and Sam? Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Thanks! How many more? We’ll see. We evaluate Rosie before, during and after each litter. Thoroughly. I talk about this in the Q&A videos. There’s a process that includes our Veterinarian. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
How often does Rosie take breaks from the pups? My lab is wanting to take quite a few breaks out of whelping pool. Thanks for any help you can give.
The older they get the less time she spends with them directly. She might lay down just outside the Whelping box and watch them from a slight distance. After their eyes open and they get active her time with them in direct contact with them drops off quite a bit. When she wants out of the pen we let her out…and back in. It’s normal. 👍
@@must_love_labs Thank you so much. I was getting really stressed that she wants to leave the whelping box as much as she does. I appreciate your quick reply. Bless you.
Can you add a link for the nail trimmers?
We sure can! I just put a link to them in the description of the video and thanks for asking! Here’s that link: amzn.to/3XDCHxU
