Think Salty just went with whatever came to mind with the floating damage numbers, perhaps from another game. But yea, also used to 'floating combat/damage text/numbers' here. Guess they're just called a lot of different things.
When I last played EQ2 probably 7 years ago, there were magic and melee-based versions of many support classes. The troubadour was more magic-based, and worked better with caster groups. The dirge was more melee-focused, and worked nicely with groups of rogues, monks, etc. I liked a lot of things about EQ2, but hated the fact that casters needed to use melee for a big portion of their overall damage. Yes - even classes like wizards would get something like 30% of their overall damage from melee - so you had time your casts between swings. I found it incredibly annoying; if I wanted to do melee damage I'd have rolled a melee class. But, there was a lot of good things in that game that I really enjoyed.
47:52 "I think at this point we're just gonna kill him, holy shi*t I'm so powerful!"
I knew you were gonna die after you said this 😂
Hahaha. Ughhh totally

Dang, that's wild. I don't think I played enough to realize that and also I never touched casters back in the day. Good to know 😅
It was a real struggle around your lvl with my monk without a group. It should get better in a few more lvls as you know for solo in Kurns.
Yeah, bit of a pinch point right here. Gonna group with the boys tomorrow and hopefully get another level. Get out of this tough spot.
First time the vid dropped as I'm finishing work instead of just getting started heh ...
Recorded today, lol. Save it!
@@ClassicEverQuest listening now, no load tomorrow lol
