Either way THIS was a great companion to Paleblood Moon and ending it with it's chorus was an EXCELLENT choice so KUDOS to miracleofsound.
The upbeat chorus and the gloomy verses are almost a metaphor for the game The quiet, grim parts for the atmosphere, the chorus for the adrenaline fueled bossfights
(old comment, I know) But I wouldn't call it odd. I have depression and find metal to be a great mood lifter, especially the grand orchestral pieces like it. It generates a similar feeling off awe to standing in a large cathedral or dramatic architectural piece, and, topic wise, the 'out there'ness of cosmic horror, though it's called horror, is harder to be afraid of than the things much closer to human.
A Bloodborne song? A Metal Bloodborne song? A Metal Bloodborne song sung by Miracle of Sound? A METAL BLOODBORNE SONG SUNG BY MIRACLE OF SOUND ALONGSIDE AVIATORS!!!!???!?!? . . . all my yes
They do tend to bring out the best in each other, huh? After Let There Be Fire, it felt like Aviators got revitalized, with a lot more energy and variety in subsequent releases.

SunbroLQ84i “And the cogs creek a melody” “Hear the deafening dirges rise” Sing a lullaby for the doom... “And the ones who will never be” “Behold the end with a thousand eyes” Will find a vessel in the Paleblood moon...
@@RoyalMudcrab I had a slightly different take, one based on the ending received. I feel the first song was more around the 2nd ending. Defeating Gehrman and taking his role. "Find a vessel in the Paleblood Moon". This one seems to be about breaking the Moon Presence's influence and ascending to become an infant Great One. "Behold the end with a thousand eyes". Along with the lyrics "Look to the inside to break the seals." But that's just my interpretation, both are valid.
It's nice when people notice that! I try to produce in a very old school way despite using modern tech to do it. I like to make nice thick, warm mixes that massage & sooth your ears, as opposed to the very bitey, clicky aggressively harsh sound you often hear on a lot of modern rock & metal :)
I truly love how you weave different songs for the same game in and out of each other like you did here. Taking the chorus from Paleblood Moon and making it a b chorus at the end, but changing the lyrics, is just *chef kiss* This is why I love the Dragon Age songs you did as well.

You know, a thousand eyes opening inside might as well represent fragility and vulnerability in the face of the many and faceless Other, and the loss of self. The moment other people can see so deep inside you, that even a skin protects you no longer, you cease to be yourself and go mad.
Alternatively, it just refers to the belief of the Byrgenwerth scholars and all who built from their work that Enlightenment would involve growing literal eyes inside of their skulls, and they dissected the fishmen of the hamlet to look for them. Even though they were wrong, it's used by various people in the setting (though it's never clear how literally any of them mean it) to refer to enlightenment / insight. Additional eyes are literally the curse of the wise, driving them mad with the sight of those things man was not meant to know - like the giant fucking spider monster hanging out in the center of town. It's *very* much a Bloodborne song and not really anything else.

Of all your songs this one is easily my favorite. It cannot be overstated how masterfully written this song is and this presentation is captivating. In my opinion this might be your best work.
I really love this song! It really matches the atmosphere of the game, just like Paleblood Moon!! I particularly enjoyed the Part where the melody changed to the one of Paleblood Moon. That really was awesome
There is something really peculiar about you music, in a good way. Whenever I listen to a song I have not heard before I just think to myself: "Yeah that was nice, but I'm not sure if I like it that much." The next day I catch myself humming the melody quietly and desperately trying to remember the lyrics. A bit later I feel the urge to listen to the song again. And again. And again. And again.
As if my profile icon wasn't enough of a giveaway, I love Bloodborne. This takes the elements of both of your styles and melds them together beautifully. The appreciation of the lore in the lyrics, the building of the song through the perspectives of different characters and the crescendo calling back to the hook of 'Paleblood Moon' all just works beutifully. Fantastic job guys. Also, shoutout to Blackheart Music Videos for the vid's editing, really impressive and seriously makes me want to play it through yet again!
Ah. Gehrman. My sweet grandfather, languishing in a prison of your own design. Let these parting words bring you comfort as your eyes close for the final time at last.

I know this song came out a hot minute ago but I used this as a theme for a DnD character of mine for quite a while. It always made the creative wheel turn for me.
ikr, I'm also using this song as inspiration to write my oc, the main schtick of my oc is that after years of research they discovered a way access the secrets of the cosmos, but in return he has to protect all he knows and loves from the horrors that come from the edge of the planes of reality
@@lowlywandererozzy Oh hell yeah! The way it works for my character is that the main conflict of the campaign revolves around a Baron, once friend to a character in the party, finding the right eye of a forgotten goddess of civilization. The party, after talking with the Man of Mirrors (think Outsider from Dishonored) is tasked with finding the five shards of the left eye. Eventually they find them all and purify it. My character took on the burden of sacrificing his left eye to place the Eye of the World in his head to combat the right eye that corrupted the Baron. Plenty of other Eldritch ideas were included in this campaign as well.

@@amyroberts8978 Thank you very much. ^^ What's your favourite verse or line? Personally, I'm really conflicted: I liked how Eileen's verse turned out, both for the allusions to Bloodborne's extensive use of Tarot imagery as well as the nod to the fact that the true nature of the Hunter of Hunters' work is really ambiguous in the game and the subtle reference of how to get the best ending in Eileen's questline... but then I also really think I nailed just about everything in Ludwig's verse, from the lore allusions and references to Ludwig's own words when we talk with him, to the "ride out into the battle" nudge at his transformation, and the nod to how the Hunter's Nigtmare is based upon Naraka/Jigoku/Hell according to Buddhism... and though I personally kinda regard it as the weakest one, I'm still very proud of the Good Hunter's verse as well...

It generates a similar feeling off awe to standing in a large cathedral or dramatic architectural piece, and, topic wise, the 'out there'ness of cosmic horror, though it's called horror, is harder to be afraid of than the things much closer to human.

its kind of like this one was written by Provost Willem, and the old one was from Laurence.
Along with the lyrics "Look to the inside to break the seals."
But that's just my interpretation, both are valid.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how cool that team dodge step was.
Yes
Yes I love when you adapt the gothic tones of the Souls into your music. It fits so well with your voice and the old school timbre of your music.
It's nice when people notice that! I try to produce in a very old school way despite using modern tech to do it. I like to make nice thick, warm mixes that massage & sooth your ears, as opposed to the very bitey, clicky aggressively harsh sound you often hear on a lot of modern rock & metal :)
@@miracleofsound It's much appreciated. I was raised on classic rock and metal. It's awesome to see that tradition and style endure and grow.
@@miracleofsound I trully appreciate it Gav
I truly love how you weave different songs for the same game in and out of each other like you did here. Taking the chorus from Paleblood Moon and making it a b chorus at the end, but changing the lyrics, is just *chef kiss* This is why I love the Dragon Age songs you did as well.

From the worlds I've wheeled and dealed in
Many wonders have I seen
Wealth and weapons ripe for stealing
From undead and from machines
From my lips spin lies for catching
Those too easily deceived
From my spinners thread for patching
Distant continuities
Can you hear the laughter ring?
From dark, demonic souls
Spider's legs a-skittering
From the shadows of spacetime's folds
...
I atone for our deception
Bloodied hands and brutal schemes
In the mouth of the inception
Of the dream within the dream
Snowy skin of northern beauty
Brazen, bloody eastern blade
I will not forsake my duty
To the ones that once I slayed
Can you hear that horrid thing?

Rotten are the apron strings
Stillborn's lullaby

Mercy's cure to suffering
To the Dream's Host, Death, I pray

And for them I will be brave
Though my detractors call me monster
They, too, I will also save
And with "guidance" from the heavens
The Holy Moonlight shines my way
I ride out into the battle
The beast scourge my quest to slay
And can you hear the choir sing
Of these blood-stained, old events?
The road to hell is, after all,
Paved with good intents
...
Though my ailing body brought me
For a cure to save my life
What my search for "paleblood" wrought me
Was a life of death and strife
However many times I triumph
However many times I fall
The nightmare still keeps going
Consuming one and all

Alternatively, it just refers to the belief of the Byrgenwerth scholars and all who built from their work that Enlightenment would involve growing literal eyes inside of their skulls, and they dissected the fishmen of the hamlet to look for them. Even though they were wrong, it's used by various people in the setting (though it's never clear how literally any of them mean it) to refer to enlightenment / insight. Additional eyes are literally the curse of the wise, driving them mad with the sight of those things man was not meant to know - like the giant fucking spider monster hanging out in the center of town. There is something really peculiar about you music, in a good way. Whenever I listen to a song I have not heard before I just think to myself: "Yeah that was nice, but I'm not sure if I like it that much." What's your favourite verse or line?

Many moons I’ve lingered lonely
Many dreams I’ve overseen
Now I wait for one below me
To arise and intervene

And though I long to be unshackled

Open inside
To grant me sight to see the end

The curse of the wise
Into the madness I descend
From my final perch I ponder
On the infinite and vast
In the blindness I still wander
Though my time has almost passed
There are things I longed to teach you
In my institutions’ creeds
Lurking just behind the corners
Of our own realities
And can you hear the choir sing
Voices fill the spires
Hymns of want still echoing
Prayers on the lips of liars
A thousand eyes
Open inside
To grant me sight to see the end
A thousand eyes
The curse of the wise
Into the madness I descend
A thousand eyes
Open inside
To grant me sight to see the end
The more I behold
The further I fold
Into the madness I descend
And the cogs creak a melody
Hear the deafening dirges rise
And the ones who would never be
Behold the end with a thousand eyes
Paleblood will guide your way
Look to the inside to break the seals
Bleed out the dark, decay
Ascend to places beyond the real
