Giyuu is so underrated. He is the third strongest Hashira. Right after fighting Akaza with Tanjiro he was the first hashira to encounter Muzan and fought Muzan and after fighting Muzan he was the only hashira that was up and managed to hold back DKT.

ye, Giyu may have survived all that but Rengoku fought Akaza ALL alone without any help at all and he was the only one who died, no one else died because Rengoku protected them, so i don´t think that was nothing to do with this at all, Giyu is strong?, yes he is but Rengoku being younger than Giyu and managing to protect 200+ people from Akaza is a big achievement he got, even if he died, and Giyu and Tanjiro only won to Akaza because Akaza remembered his past and his wife and so commited suicide, so i think it was not even his work on that part since he almost died to Akaza but Tanjiro saved him in time (wich i find it strange because if Tanjiro saved Giyu when Akaza was gonna pierce his stomach like he did to Rengoku, then why didn´t Tanjiro tried to save Rengoku .-.) and Giyu surviving all that does not make him stronger because i think that if Rengoku managed to kill Akaza or to at least make it out alive, he probably would get stronger just like all the hashiras and unlock his DS mark and manage to survive everything just like Giyu did (actually Giyu dies at age 25 because of the DS mark so Rengoku would die because of that if all that happened), so yeah, i think both Giyu and Rengoku are very strong no matter what 👍

(i.e. Muichirou had more experience than Tanjiro when they both started even though his age was lower because he went through higher difficulty opponents)

People overrating rengoku just because he held off a punch from akaza when he was literally getting toyed with from the start. It was already near sunrise before akaza and rengoku fought, just a few minutes before. Giyuu without mark will last longer without a doubt. The last move akaza used that finished off rengoku was the same move akaza used against giyu at the EARLY STAGE of their fight not as a last resort. Giyu without mark casually defended against it while rengoku with his 9th form got punched through his stomach. Not to mention giyuu being the first hashira to face muzan after fighting with akaza in the infinity castle and one of the last two surviving till the end.

Giyu (Buffs) vs Rengoku Strenght- Giyu Whilst they were stated to be the same strenght physically by the author, giyu has the mark which should increase his strenght by a bit. Speed-Not fully sure, maybe giyu because he has the mark which is a pretty big buff. IQ- Giyu I think this one goes without saying, giyu is significantly more serious and mature, but rengoku is goofy which is fun. BIQ-Rengoku I guess bcs he's been training with the sword for longer. Experience- Rengoku Whilst giyu is older, I think rengoku started with the sword earlier. Defense-Giyu This goes without saying, water breathing (Giyus breath style) is a defensive breath style. Offense/Attack power- Giyu probably Whilst his breath style is more defensive, he has the mark which is a big buff, so his attack power should've increased quite a bit. Durabiltiy- not sure Rengoku got turned into a donut, on top of having fries and ketchup hair, which even tho akaza, upper moon flipping 3 did it, still. And giyu lost his arm but idk, I guess you guys cam decide on ur own Stamina-This is hard, because rengoku still had energy to hold akaza by the arm and attempt to try hold him their until the sun rise, and he was very badly injured, so that's hella impressive. If he awakened it Rengoku would still lose, not easily but still lose in matter of 10-15 min. Giyuu without the mark facing akaza serious, he managed to fought him off with Tanjiro by his side. Then when he got the mark, he’s able to go toe to toe with him, but the only reason why his 11th form wasn’t able to fend off alaa’s attack was bc he was badly injured due to akaza slamming Giyuu onto a building thing (in the infinity castle). ye, Giyu may have survived all that but Rengoku fought Akaza ALL alone without any help at all and he was the only one who died, no one else died because Rengoku protected them, so i don´t think that was nothing to do with this at all, Giyu is strong?, yes he is but Rengoku being younger than Giyu and managing to protect 200+ people from Akaza is a big achievement he got, even if he died, and Giyu and Tanjiro only won to Akaza because Akaza remembered his past and his wife and so commited suicide, so i think it was not even his work on that part since he almost died to Akaza but Tanjiro saved him in time (wich i find it strange because if Tanjiro saved Giyu when Akaza was gonna pierce his stomach like he did to Rengoku, then why didn´t Tanjiro tried to save Rengoku .-.) and Giyu surviving all that does not make him stronger because i think that if Rengoku managed to kill Akaza or to at least make it out alive, he probably would get stronger just like all the hashiras and unlock his DS mark and manage to survive everything just like Giyu did (actually Giyu dies at age 25 because of the DS mark so Rengoku would die because of that if all that happened), so yeah, i think both Giyu and Rengoku are very strong no matter what 👍

It was already near sunrise before akaza and rengoku fought, just a few minutes before. Giyuu without mark will last longer without a doubt. The last move akaza used that finished off rengoku was the same move akaza used against giyu at the EARLY STAGE of their fight not as a last resort. Giyu without mark casually defended against it while rengoku with his 9th form got punched through his stomach. Stamina-This is hard, because rengoku still had energy to hold akaza by the arm and attempt to try hold him their until the sun rise, and he was very badly injured, so that's hella impressive. But giyu lost a limb and kinda carried the akaza fight, since tanjiro was out cold for a good amount of time, till he went god mode and dogged on basketball head 4 a nit, he still, didn't rlly carry the fight tho. After that, giyu still had energy to quickly yeet the kakushi out of the way to stop them getting turned into a hashtag but demon king tanjiro, like man was literally halfway dead at that point. Sl yeh this time u can decide.
Potential- Rengoku I guess since be trained on his own without a former pillar/pillar/highly trained swordsmen to help him, whilst giyu had urokodaki to teach him and sabito to also teach him new things.

He's very over confident and ready to fight and never doubts himself, and he desperately didn't want anyone on the mugen train to, and came pretty close to holding akaza for the sun to burn him. Even tho akaza would've stomped him easily if he went all out at first, still very impressive, dubs amd kudos to McDonald's hair man. However giyu can also have lots of will power and determination, for example when sabito died, he worked very hard to become a pillar and exceed his expectations. However this still goes to dunkin donuts man.

If we take from all the hashira the demon slayer mark, rengoku was the strongest, he was able to take an upper rank all by himself being even tired, the problem is that he didnt have the greatest iq battle because if he did he would have fought akaza in defence and try to lose time and let the sun rise

And bro honestly i think rengoku will win because during the akaza fight we can see how rengoku was keeping up before losing stamina however giyu got punched very far away from 2 or 3 attacks meaning rengoku takes speed while giyu takes stamina (akaza caught up to marked giyu very fast so base rengoku takes giyu speed). not only this but we have seen how rengoku has more battle IQ because he realized all of akazas plans to stay far and kill him that way and yet giyu just ran in whithout a plan hoping to win, rengoku lasted till day against akaza and yet giyu whith mark and tanjiro coudnt even keep up and nealy died from both swords being destroyed. plus rengoku performed so well he literally out preformed marked giyu ( marked rengoku would probably be strong as hell because he almost killed upper 3 and muzan said you cant kill upper 3-2-1 or himself or atleast you cant solo which means it would take up to 3-4 hashira to kill akaza meaning rengoku can beat the shit out of tengen because he struggled with 7 people to help fight gyutaro and yet gyutaro woudve won if his sister wasnt there because we woudve killed tanjiro first then tengen tries but fails taking his legs meaning he would be useless and then he would kill inosuke and zenitsu again but when they get up it will be too late and he will see them and kill them all so rengoku solos tengen, rengoku vs shinobu is not even a debate because as we seen for speed i know the data books say shinobu is faster but rengoku dashed throughout a whole train saving tons of people however shinbou dashed to save one person but they got speed blitzed by douma and dont eve think of saying oh douma is faster because even if douma is faster if she cant save atleast one person compared to a whole train of people then you gotta be mistaken. rengoku vs mui is no debate because he was struggling alot with gyokko and rengoku here cut akaza's neck halfway through, sanemi will win because base sanemi was doing pretty good fighting kokushibo and awakend mark plus tightening his mucles to stop his guts from falling out and akaza compared to kokushibo is no debate because as we seen kokushibo literally teleported akazas hand basically proving demons stenght are far from each other.rengoku vs iguro is also no debate becuse iguro base was slashing/ dodging/ becoming a body gaurd for gyomei and still fought giving him duribility, he also speed blitzed muzan after he first awakend mark ( 2nd drug muzan wich could kill all uppermoons) so rengoku doesnt stand a chance. mitsuri is no debate getting destroyed because she struggled whith hantengu even whith mark because she didnt have stw so she woudve died if the kamaboko squad didnt kill the main body. plus rengoku base solos mitsuri all forms.
Yes, the person who fought Akaza, Muzan, and Demon King Tanjiro with very short breaks in between almost loses to Rengoku. Very logical.
