You r giving the most recent data(probably of 2022). But the comment was made 2 years ago. Check the rankings back thn. Also, if you have studied in both, u will spot the reality away from the "rankings".

It depends on the department they studied in. Take an example of Computer science and Engineering department, here it is far more better than any other universities in northeast. I accept that not all the department performs equally good. But overall, if you see, it is far better.
Though tezpur university list 2nd top univsity of assam, M.A in economics is not available. It was my dream to study there, but due to lack of eco dept. I couldn't😐
